Monthly Rentals in Postbridge

An absolutely idyllic location, you could walk straight out onto the beautiful moors and were close to a quaint village. The cottage was full of charm and had everything we needed, we enjoyed the evenings by the open fire and the comfortable bed. Stephen and Fiona were great hosts, making us feel very welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed during our stay. They gave a great recommendation for a local pub (the rugglestone) too! We loved our first trip to Dartmoor and would highly recommend Yoneer Shippon to anyone looking for a place to stay in the heart of the national park.

Beautiful location, perfect for walks (you can walk straight up on to Hamel Down, one of our favourite Dartmoor walks) from the doorstep. Lovely view. And for convenience - pub, great cafe etc - Widecombe is a short walk or very short drive. And friendly, welcoming hosts. It’s a country cottage, small and homely - so not for those who want a flawless LA style pad! - and all the better for that.

Beautiful accommodation, very tastefully furnished and comfortable. Village location was great with walks and pubs in easy reach. Only downside for us was nowhere really to let the dogs out of the door, had to walk them to the meadow.

We had ourselves a lovely time in this cottage. Despite the bad weather (which none of us can control!) we enjoyed a peaceful getaway with our dog and cat (yes cat!). Especially enjoyed the log burner and the veranda was a great place to sit and enjoy a morning coffee and take in the scenery. The garden is private and a nice space so it was great to let the dog burn off some energy! Thank you susie for being so responsive whenever we had a query or question about the place during our stay. We ran out of hot water on the first day but you were round to fix it for us with 5 minutes and it was fine after that 😊 Ps sorry I completely forgot to mention that the cutlery drawer fell off its hinge on our first night! I left the screw that fell out in the worktop, I tried to pop it back in myself but without my tools I couldn’t!
