Medieval Fort, Sud Ardèche stunning loft with pool

Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . It is provided with a living room, with a kitchen/dining room, with a terrace and with a parking lot...Upstairs, a mezzanine with a TV lounge (sofa bed, flat screen) and a room for 4 people (2 single beds in 90 and 2 bunk beds in 90). There is also a sheltered terrace with garden furniture and barbecue. The rental fully renovated for the 2017 season.
