Cabin vacation rentals in Prairie du Chien

Our trip exceeded all expectations. The home was beautiful inside and comfortable with such high quality amenities. The kitchen has stocked up with any utensils and pans you'd need. The hot tub was great and had a beautiful view to look out at. This is a great place to stay. Highly recommend!

My partner and I had a great two night stay. We enjoyed the peace and quiet! The cabin had everything we needed to cook meals and relax.

Even in the face of some weather-related snafoos, our host was always communicative, and the place was beautiful. We would definitely come back.

The Fox & Badger cabin was everything we expected and so much more! The space was so cozy, clean, and had everything under the sun you could need provided. The king bed was so comfortable (firm, which is what we like), and all the furniture was clean and comfy. We loved the log cabin style of everything and checking out all the animal taxidermy. Modern tech all over with streaming services was definitely a plus! Thank you for having a Bluetooth speaker too, as we forgot ours! Wouldn’t have been the same without music to relax to. The newest addition of the hot tub with cushy robes were the perfect touches for this mom & dad’s weekend away together. The area is absolutely gorgeous, so explore if you go- the property was beautiful, private, and so peaceful- Especially sitting next to a fire outside or lounging on the porch swings. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!!!

Such an impressive and beautiful space! Tons of thoughtful touches, the views are stunning, the location was wonderful for a quiet weekend away and the place was even better than described. We had a wonderful time and even cancelled plans to leave and explore nearby because we were so relaxed and comfortable in the cabin.

For the most part the cabin was clean. But there was heavy dust on the top shelves, a cracked glass in the kitchen, and nowhere to put full trash bags…that I’m aware of anyways, so I had to leave two full garbage bags inside the house so the animals wouldn’t get in them.

We had an amazing getaway nice quiet spot is snowed a good amount while we were there driveway was plowed next morning hot tub was great and the place was beautiful definitely will be coming again!!

Would stay again during any season of the year. Great choice for spending a weekend in a cabin, in nature, or around local shopkeepers.

We had another wonderful visit, and loved the addition of the gas stove! It’s super cozy and also easy to use. This is the perfect place for a quiet and relaxing getaway, the whole house is very comfortable and has everything you need to feel right at home. It’s always incredibly clean, and the sauna is a great bonus as well. I can’t wait to visit again!

Our party of five adults stayed at Andy's place for a birthday weekend and had a great time. The cabin and surroundings are as described ~ clean, unique, private, quiet. We kayaked and fished in the pond and ate our meals on the deck; we loved the outdoor spaces and appreciated having the kayaks and the fire pit available. We traveled to Elkader and Decorah during the days. The cabin was just the right place to come back to.

Liz greeted us warmly and told the history of the cabin and the rehab efforts. She demonstrated how to start the fire in the stove. The cabin is charming with beautiful views of Fern Hollow.

John's cabin is the absolute perfect spot to comfortably escape into the magical woods. The gorgeous, serene, well-decorated space was way more than I expected and could have wished for, and left me with a feeling of contentment I haven't experienced in a long time. The beds were therapeutic, the bluetooth speaker had us exploring hours of jazz, the kitchen was perfect, the firepit with outdoor string lights was a dream. I made a last-minute reservation, and John was incredibly accommodating and helpful. What started out as a place to stay in the area is now a destination in itself.

We arrived a little later and the maps location wasn’t very accurate so we had some trouble finding the location. Kirk was very quick to respond and come help us find the place. It was very peaceful and clean.

I've stayed at the Stargazer in the past and enjoy it's rustic serenity. it is a unique place, and cozy. I would do it again.

Staying here was a great experience. Stoddard is a nice little community, situated in a beautiful part of the country, an easy drive to La Crosse. Ryan is a great host, and the house was as described, beautiful, clean, with nice amenities and a great view overlooking the river.

A great way to get away but still be close to the local market, events, food ,etc. it was a beautiful remote spot but felt safe and secure :) we were able to utilize a lot of the dvds which was a fun nostalgic vibe and picked up local coffee from wonderstate and lunch from co-op! Our fav! This is such a beautiful serene getaway:) thank you so much

This was the perfect place for a weekend get away for us! The water was beautiful, the cabin was very cute, and felt spacious. We will definitely be back if we are able to come back! The house was beautiful and the location was secluded. Everything was clean and pretty much all the amenities were provided. We brought a bunch of food with us so we didn’t need to drive anywhere and had everything we needed to cook and serve. The kitchen has plenty of counter space with the island so it was easy to set things out and enjoy some snacks with a show or two in the main room. The house has loads of space - it was just my fiancée and I so we each had our own space to unwind and enjoy the views outside. We also got a lot of snow while we were there and they made sure to clear it out for us - really appreciated that, especially with the steep gravel driveway. Only minor downside was that the soaking tub didn’t hold much heat. It seems like the water heater might not be able to supply enough - the showers were totally fine though. It was also winter when we stayed so it was certainly fighting the cold a bit.

I am so happy we chose to stay here!This sweet little place was clean,smelled good,and had all the things we needed for a weekend getaway. It was decorated cute and i appreciated the fall decorations too. Quiet and private but close enough to do all our excursions in Prarie du Chien,Marquette and Mcgregor.Genna was very communicative and I cannot wait to come back and stay again in the future.Weather was perfect and it was a great,relaxing,and memorable stay!
