Rodez, 25 km away, has a rich cultural heritage as well as the Pierre Soulages Museum.

The climate is pleasant because Pruines is conveniently located halfway between the Dourdou valley and the Lunel plateau. The medieval village of Conques is about fifteen km away, walking through the Duzou and Dourdou valleys. The city of Rodez is 25 km away.
