Remarkable 17th-Century House with a Terrace Lap Pool

Revel in the otherworldly ambiance of this remodeled 17th-century home eclectically adorned with antique furnishings, whimsical decor, and magical curios. Guests are welcome to use the owner's 12-meter-lap-pool, shared with his 3 other rentals, situated in his unique calm closed magic garden. The entrance from the street leads you through a closed stone walled sunny patio with a table and chairs for outside eating, as well as 2 sun-loungers into the bright colourful open well equipped kitchen integrated in the dining room, all with a cheery, vintage vibe. (The patio is also used by the other guests as a right of passage to access their apartment and the shared lap pool.) From there a spiral wood staircase leads you up to the bedroom with wood floors and a fireplace, a terrace with a great view over to the windmill, the top point of the village and an antique romantic outside bathtub. The night sky full of stars is famous in the Provence, if you’re lucky you catch a full moon. The toilet is located on the same level as the kitchen/dining room and is separated from the shower which you find on the level below in the basement, tiled in sea green Moroccan zelliges. You also find your own washing machine for clothes in the basement. The character of the house, the architecture as well as the interior decoration is full of original antiques and vintage pieces, carefully selected by the owner and has an absolute unique handwriting. It will appeal to everyone who loves an aesthetically unique and novel experience. Parking: You can unload your baggage at the house and park you car free of charge a one minute's walk away on the convenient public parking of the village. Linen, Pool Towels: all included Information about Goult and the Area: At the heart of the „Triangle D’Or“, Goult makes an ideal base for exploring the many surrounding villages, as well as larger towns such as Avignon, Aix-en- Provence and Marseille, all within 15 mins to 1hr30mins' drive away. All amenities, restaurants, bar, coffee places, the famous 'Cafe de la poste‘, groceries, bakery, butcher, fromagerie, market on thursday with regional products, as well as a couple of little shops with local handmade art, regional products and antiques are all one-minute’s walk away to be explored. Walks up to the windmill, the castle, the church through the little peaceful winding streets of the village as well as gorgeous walks directly from the village into the beautiful nature, eg. natural terrasses, views, lavender fields and partly through light forests are highly recommended. Electronic bicycles are possible to be rented in Coustellet or Apt to discover the surrounding area. Additionally you can visit the owners 'Borie‘, an original habitation by the rural population of the region in the ancient times, where you can have your picnic. Covers to sit on are lent by the owner for that occasion. The 'Borie‘ is a 5 mins walk away. Guests are welcome to use the owner’s 12-meter lap-pool, situated in the quiet and secluded magic adjoining owner's garden. This absolutely unique garden will offer you an exceptional memorable souvenir, welcoming you to use all amenities available such as 2 relaxing lay matts surrounded by trees to cover you with the necessary shadow, a daybed hidden in a vaulted corner by the pool as well as a rocking chair with a shower in another vaulted alcove by the pool. There are little terraces to be wandered around and a table with chairs to have your meal in that paradise. I live next-door, and are happy to answer your questions and offer suggestions if needed. Goult is known by the locals as the hidden village of the Luberon and is appreciated for its pleasant, authentic atmosphere. There are several charming restaurants in the heart of the village, as well as the lively Café de la Poste on the main square. You can unload your baggage at the house and park you car free of charge a one minute walk away on the convenient public parking of the village. GOOD TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR TRIP TO GOULT A 2 days stay at Goult is a minimum, ideal would be 4 days or more. Reservations at the restaurants in Goult and the Luberon are necessary. Explore Cultural Sites Near a Studio in the Hills of Luberon

This studio is really charming, and have a lot of cachet ! located in the heart Bonnieux at less than 5 mn walking from all amenities (restaurants, shops...), you will enjoy the "Provençal way of life" during your stay. In the bedroom, you will feel away from the modern world standing below its 400 years old arches! But you will have all the comfort of a newly renovated place with a separate entrance, your private bathroom, a wifi access, an equiped kitchen... You will enjoy having a drink and your meals outside on the terrace. Important : For those willing to rent a larger place (up to 4 pax), we also rent a duplex apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. You will find this other listing named "charming duplex apartment" in my profile. The studio is all yours. It's an independent apartment with its own private courtyard and entry door. We always do our best to help our guests and to make sure that they have all what they need during their stay : booking restaurants, providing advices and tips about the area, where to go, what to do... We are always happy to talk with them and guide them trough their journey in Provence to make it a wonderful stay. The studio is located in the heart of the Village of Bonnieux, in the foothills of the Massif du Luberon, 50 kilometers east of the mediaeval city of Avingnon. Shops, restaurants, and other amenities are within a 5-minute walk of the house. It is possible to come to Bonnieux by Bus from Marseille (Marignane International Airport), Aix en Provence (TGV Station) or Avignon (TGV Station). However, the best option is definitely to rent a car. We are close (1 hour drive) from Avignon and Aix en Provence (TGV stations), and Marseille (Marignane International Airport). Lot of our previous guests were landing in Nice (around 3h away from Bonnieux) because there is a good choice of international flights. The Cabanon is a Provence stone build studio, part of the historical house called "La Cure" on the highest elevation point of Menerbes .
