Wow! What a beautiful part of the world to be able to spend a few days in. The view is incredible and the hot tub, with a glass of wine… What more could you want? Yes some of the furnishings and fixtures are a little dated but who cares when you wake up to that view! Our daughter enjoyed the horses and chickens. One thing to note - not much nearby so make sure you’re prepared with all the groceries you need. There isn’t too much provided other than tea and coffee.

Ann was so kind and accepted my last minute booking request, after I decided to hike out a day early from the Tongariro Northern Circuit due to bad weather. It was just the cozy place I needed - and oh did I sleep well! It was so nice and quiet. I would describe Ann's as a "peaceful retreat", and would encourage you to stay a few nights! Ann and her daughter warmly welcomed me, took the time to show me around, and we're just lovely to chat to. The little cottage was just the right size, private, and in the most gorgeous setting. I was kindly offered a late check out, and had the weather not been so sunny I would have happily stayed there all day! Some people are meant to host - Ann is one of those people 😊 I look forward to coming back someday in the future!

Lovely view, big house, kitchen has everything you need. Nice being able to walk the paddocks with the kids.
