Next, we’ll check out the oldest bakery in Chinatown, a church that survived the 1906 earthquake, the oldest temples in the USA, all while sipping some delicious bubble tea. As we approach our final hour, we head to a local tea shop and learn about the role of tea in traditional Chinese medicine with a 30-minute tasting. Feeling warm, we head to our last stop to learn about the Gold Rush, in the exact spot it all started! Here we taste a local pork roll from one of the oldest restaurants in town. We cannot run on Mon/Tues.

  • Sailing on the San Francisco Bay
Enjoy a relaxing sail while soaking in breathtaking views overlooking Sausalito, Belvedere, Angel Island, and the Golden Gate Bridge. You'll get the opportunity to learn introductory sailing skills, given the chance to take the helm and drive the boat or just sit back and enjoy the sights. During the sail you'll see an abundance of wildlife; including seals, sea lions, multiple species of birds and the occasional harbor porpoise. We've even spotted humpback whales on a few occasions during whale season. It's the perfect way to unwind and will be an experience you'll never forget. Please be sure to contact the host if you'd like to modify the starting time or customize the experience in anyway. Other things to note Please wear flat, closed-toe shoes with rubber soles. Dress comfortably and in layers as the weather can change quite quickly. It's okay to bring your own food and drinks along for the sail.

  • Eco Sailing Tour of San Francisco Bay
This is an intimate experience for up to six guests. We'll meet you at the Marina. At the marina, we'll acquaint you with our beloved yacht "Whimsea" and all of it's luxurious amenities, give you a safety tour and briefing, stow your gear, and share the itinerary for the day. Then we'll put on all our sailing gear and disembark the dock for adventures on the Bay. We'll head to the central bay past Tiburon, Sausalito, Angel Island and Alcatraz, and head for the Golden Gate Bridge. During our voyage you can sit back and relax with some gourmet food and drinks, and/or help us steer and trim the sails. The boat is very comfortable, stable, and we guarantee you wont get wet or cold. The experience is like sitting in a luxurious living room with great views passing you by. During the voyage you can feel free to ask us about the maritime history of the bay, the environmental conditions of the Bay or any other fun Bay facts. Your host Lauren has over 30 years working for the local Ports and teaching sailing and marine science on the Bay. Your host Jerry is a doctor and has sailed this yacht Whimsea around the world and in the Bay for over 40 years. We both love sailing the Bay and sharing our love of it with our guests. Other things to note Each tour is for a minimum of 6 guests. The cost per person for a 3 1/2 hour tour including food and drinks is $120/pp. Please email (sailcaptainmorgan@gmail.com) or call us at 916-836-0849 at least a few days before your tour so we can send you some important FAQs.

  • Best of Berkeley History Walking Tour
Hear about the history and culture that makes Berkeley one of the most famous cities in the world. We'll stroll safely through campus and the surrounding areas. This activity is 100% outdoors, and attendance is limited so it's easy for everyone to keep at a safe distance from one another. We'll meet just outside the Paris Baguette Cafe at 2150 Shattuck Avenue just next to the downtown Berkeley BART station. We'll learn about Berkeley's downtown area, then cross through UC Berkeley's campus alongside tree-lined Strawberry Creek. We'll pass by the Free Speech Cafe and talk about Berkeley's protests. Finally, we'll walk the historic route from Sproul Plaza to People's Park. Afterward you can shop for one-of-a-kind jewelry and t-shirts on Telegraph Avenue. A number of restaurants are now open, so you can grab some lunch. Other things to note: This is a history-focused tour, but the topics we cover during our walk are flexible based on everyone's interests. Please be sure to tell Pam what topics you are most interested in and she can also adjust at any point in the tour based on the questions and topics that guests bring up as we stroll from downtown Berkeley to People's Park. Please wear comfortable walking shoes. I also recommend sunscreen and cash for refreshments and street artists. There are lots of great options for lunch and activities after the tour.
