Christine and her husband are fantastic hosts. They have built a beautiful, nature-loving, slow-paced home that they open up and share with guests. The hospitality is truly exceptional and for us it was the best Airbnb experience we have ever had! If we are ever in Mauritius again, we will definitely be back!

Our stay at Christophe's place is an enchantment. Christophe is a welcoming, discreet host, present when we want, attentive to the quality of our comfort. The apartment is modern and remarkably clean. A small setting to discover the south of Mauritius.

We only stayed one night, we were looking for a place near the airport as we had an early departure. This place was perfect for what we needed only 16 mins by car from the airport. It was nice to sit out on the raised patio and watch the moon rise over the Indian Ocean drinking a cold beer. There is no beach here but you couldn’t be closer to the water. The facilities were fine and the place was clean and large enough for a couple. The aircon was efficient. There was secure off street parking, I think you’d need your own car for transport. The local town was small, with a museum for the first settlement. We didn’t particularly search for any restaurants here but there weren’t any obvious ones although it is not too far to Mahebourg where there are plenty. Our host was responsive and even got up to see us off at 0530 in the morning.

We spent a weekend at Vicash's eco lodge and really enjoyed the peace, privacy and space. Warmly recommended if you are looking for a remote, tranquil, spacious and green place to stay, which also a quick and easy access to beaches and a commercial centre.
