Monthly Rentals in Rose Lake

Prior to booking this stay, we were not familiar with the area. We were excited to realize how great the location was for hiking at Old Man's Cave-probably our favorite area to hike of all Hocking Hills State park. It is walking distance from the home! Not only was the location great, but the covered porch made enjoying the outdoors possible, regardless of weather. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Another truly fantastic stay in the Loft. We just love being here! Margit is an absolutely terrific host who has created a most beautiful and welcoming space to be in. Tasty wines directly downstairs are a super bonus. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

If I could give 100 stars, I would! We had such a wonderful experience, and Margot & John are the most lovely, welcoming & kind people. They were so generous with their time and space, and it was a blessing to get to know them! We learned so much about farm life, and were so grateful for the opportunity to be hands-on with the farm chores. My daughter loved gathering eggs, feeding the chickens & caring for the goats. We loved Tibby the barn cat and Barron the horse. It was so fun watching Jim the border collie (the friendliest dog ever) herd the sheep and goats. The cabin is perfect - cozy & comfortable with everything we needed. The location is so peaceful & quiet with beautiful views of the pastures. Roasting marshmallows around the fire pit & admiring the stars was the perfect way to end an evening. Also close to the popular hiking trails (Old Man’s Cave, Rockhouse, etc) & 5 minutes from Lake Hope which has beautiful trails. Perfect trip for families. We can’t wait to go back!
