Of course there are fish halls at the harbor where you can buy freshly caught fish, and the sale of fresh fish from the side of the fishing boats. Max. 20 minute by car to several amazing nordsealand golf clubs. Close to Denmark's second-largest forest area - Gribskov - National Royal North Zealand with the beautiful castles and magnificent scenes of nature with lakes, forests and beaches. Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Warm welcome to pleasant Ekeby, a small town located in northwestern Skåne. Around 3,500 people of mixed ages live here, mainly in villas but also in some apartments and farms. In the village there is, among other things, a grocery store with a wide range, a kiosk with a street kitchen and a pizzeria. One of Sweden's largest privately owned furniture stores is also located here, with a restaurant serving lunch, sandwiches and cakes. Here there is a health centre and in the shop we find a smaller range of pharmacy products.

The apartment: a bedroom with 2 really good box- mattresses, which serve as a double bed or single beds. Both winter and summer duvets are extra long. Charming house in a great location. The house has 3 rooms and a loft as well as bathroom and kitchen. It is sorrounded by a very nice garden and has access to its own south facing terrace with garden furniture. Copenhagen and Elsinore can be reached in 20 minutes, and Rungsted harbor with many restaurants and a nice beach within minutes. Louisiana Art Museum, Kronborg Castle are nearby. The hosts live in an independent house in the same place and are available to give you a perfect vacation.

The bus takes you to the center of Roskilde in 10-15 min where you'll find museums, restaurants, nightclubs etc (5 min by car) There are 2 bicycles to borrow(deposit needed).
