Monthly Rentals in Rossburn

The place was very neat, beautiful, secure and easy to find. Everything was available for us when we got there. Host was very nice and respectful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Pam’s cottage was an amazing little treasure only 15 minutes from the ski hill. There was tons of space for all 5 of us and the cabin was outfitted with everything you could need and more! Lots of games and extra blankets, the electric fireplace was an awesome bonus, and the loft area for the kids to good around in was perfect. The stairs looked intimidating in the photos but are somehow perfectly proportioned and getting up and down them was a breeze. Our youngest (5) managed with no issues whatsoever. Pam was super responsive! She sent us road updates on our day in as the weather was poor, and she helped us find local places to eat while we were. Highly recommend!!

Ken and Sharla’s house is very cozy . I was quite happy to find it and be able to stay for a night . My family is from the area but haven’t been back since 2009 so it was a nice surprise to find this hidden gem . We were only in town overnight and heading back home the next morning but it was very nice to walk into a cozy , clean home . It was like hanging out in my own home in the evening . We all found a cozy spot , turned on the television , grabbed our iPads and chilled for the evening . The deep tub was wonderful after having a long day and I wasn’t ready to get out of bed in the morning as the bed was really comfy. If I ever make my way back to the area again I will definitely be looking up Ken and Sharla to see if the house is available . They were great at communicating with me and from start to finish from booking to leaving it was very easy .

We stayed over Easter (April) and had a great experience. The house is on a large private lot, clean, and matched the listing. It was comfortable for sleeping, lounging, and cooking; although, the pillows in the main bedroom were flat and uncomfortable, enough to cause neck pain, so I’d suggest bringing your own if you're picky. The kitchen was decent but missing a few basics like measuring cups, and the garbage bin was too small for the size of our group. Also, the bathroom light kept shutting off unexpectedly; my husband, who is an electrician, mentioned it could be an issue with the switch. That said, communication with the host was excellent and check-in/out was smooth. Shoal Lake has that classic small-town feel, quiet with limited shopping and early closing times, so come well-prepared with what you need. I imagine this place is really beautiful in the summer! We were visiting our niece in nearby Birtle, and this place was a perfect base. We'd stay again and recommend it.
