Had a beautiful few days away here. The cottage is set in beautiful countryside, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay and the host was very accommodating.

Great base to explore the region. A short drive from many attractions yet away from the hustle and bustle. Crabtree Barn offers a modern, and comfortable place to enjoy a break in West Yorkshire.

We had the loveliest weekend staying at this beautiful converted barn. Philippa could not have done more to make sure we were well looked after, from making sure the house was warm and well-lit to welcome us late at night, to dropping off fresh eggs from her chickens for our breakfast. We felt instantly at home - the beds and sofas are really comfortable, the space is beautifully done-up, and our children had the most wonderful time watching the horses, chickens and cats from the windows. A really special place to stay and I could not recommend it more highly.

Another great stay at Belle Vue Barn. Gavin went 'above and beyond' and is a great host. A fantastic location, beautiful barn and a friendly host. An absolute must if you are visit the area or venturing further out in Yorkshire. Thank you.

The Cow Shed is a perfect place to stay - it is centrally located, has the perfect host and offers the chance to embrace what country life is all about with goats, sheep and chickens close to hand if you want to say hello to them. A wonderful place and I’ll be back!!

As fabulous as expected. Ideal space for two couples, high spec accommodation with lots of room to relax . The kitchen is small if you intend to self cater but the facilities and equipment are excellent. We spent most of the time sat in the dining room watching the peacocks who wandered up to the window each day to be admired. Played tennis and walked into the nearby village along a public footpath 50 mins to a very good pub ( Dawnay Arms ) and evenings in the hot tub . Thoroughly enjoyed it, the host ( Lucy ) is onsite and is welcoming and supportive with communication without any intrusion . No hesitation recommending.

Fantastic hosts around whenever you need but also very discreet. Beautifully finished and has everything you could ever think of needing. Plenty of hot water and the shower was lovely. Very warm and cosy. Very grateful for the milk, butter, bread etc to get us started. The bed is worth a special mention - I have a sore back and shoulders and it was not only huge but incredibly comfortable. We took 2 chaotic dogs with us and very grateful for the paddock to let them free run. There is a lovely guest recreation space - photos don’t do it justice. Other properties there but each one private and you would never know it. Definitely be back for a holiday to relax and a chance to enjoy the lovely garden. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thankyou!

A beautiful little cottage surrounded by nothing but peace. This little place gave us the opportunity to switch off and enjoy what was around us. Having an on-site ice cream parlour really made that bit more special. Very friendly hosts who were on hand if we needed them and gave local recommendations. Lovely little walk just behind the campsite and only a 5 second walk from the door to the gate which was great for our doggy. You never heard a peep from the campsite either! It was a perfect break away for us 😍

We had a lovely stay, beautiful Air B&B with all the essentials (including milk in the fridge!) we needed so it felt like a home from home. Lovely and comfortable too. Philippa was so accommodating with high chair and offer of a cot and it made our trip with our little bubba so much easier. We would absolutely visit again and it was lovely to get to meet our hosts too - thanks again for a fabulous stay.

We loved our stay at The Shed, it was so peaceful. Our dog loved the garden and being fully enclosed we had no worries about letting him sniff about on his own. Also the woods opposite The Shed was lovely to walk the dog every morning. The Shed had everything we needed for our 12 day stay, very cosy. Thank you Nicola.

On arrival there is a parking space, easy access into the property, lovely and warm inside, with a great welcome pack, the bottle of bubbly was consumed very quickly! The cottage was much bigger than the photos show, which was a nice surprise, with a good fenced in garden so the dogs could walk in and out. The hot tub was fab. The bathrooms were excellent, the showers were hot and powerful. The whole cottage was clean and tidy and not worn or shabby. The information given had everything we needed and was very clear. Filey beach is a 5 minute drive away and was great for walking the dogs. We felt it was excellent value for money and would stay again.

Everything in this apartment is good quality. From the kitchen equipment to the linen, mattress, pillows, water pressure, coffee, literally every thing. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The later than usual check out was so helpful and the welcome basket was an incredible touch. There was even a little dog blanket which our mini dachshund immediately took a liking too. We cannot fault this apartment and can highly recommend.

A beautiful cottage in truly stunning surroundings. There was everything you could possibly need to feel right at home. All of the instructions were extremely clear which was so helpful. Sarah was really responsive and happy to help with any queries. I couldn't recommend The Long Barn enough!

We stayed for 2 nights and it was a lovely getaway! There is a wonderful 6.5 mile circular walk on your doorstep through the nearby countryside, but there are lots of other walks Ailsa has listed on her website too. The room was lovely and spacious, but a particular highlight for us were the 2 cats who came to say hello when we arrived. Both were very affectionate! The surrounding area was very peaceful and perfect for stargazing at night. The hot tub was also amazing and a welcomed bonus. Ailsa was super responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We would highly recommend staying here!

Lovely place to stay in a beautiful part of the country. The accommodation is well equipped we wanted for nothing. Fabulous hosts who were always on hand for any queries. I would highly recommend a stay here and would happily revisit.

The Cow Shed is a great place to stay to discover North Yorkshire. Although attached to the owners house it’s extremely private with its own entrance. The views are spectacular and when we were there in late August lavender bushes were flowering all around the property. Lucy was a kind, communicative and attentive host and the information provided in the house about local walks, pubs, restaurants etc was extremely useful. We particularly enjoyed The Square and Compass pub nearby. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. We loved the four poster bed with views across the countryside and the pool table provided hours of entertainment!

We needed somewhere to stay within 5 miles of Bingley to visit family. Curlew cottage was just right and a cosy retreat. Really comfortable night's sleep. Louise is a helpful host especially when our arrival was delayed due to M1/62 roadworks! On our wishlist for future trips! Thank you

loved Karens place! beutifull old barn with a modern interior. everything you would need for a comfortable stay. we particular liked the log stove made the room really cosy not that you needed it as the central heating was on. gorgeous views from the patio doors. also everything was spotlessly clean. also the lovely hamper karen left with lots of goodies in . definatly top of our list of Air b&b places to stay.

We absolutely loved Caroline's place and were sad to leave after a couple of nights. A beautifully converted barn in the most beautiful part of North Yorkshire, with stunning grounds. First time to Great Ayton but hopefully not our last and, if we do return, Caroline's place would be the top of our accommodation list if available.

This is our second stay at the cottage 4 adults and our beloved dogs who have had a,great time down by the river and the paddock. Karen and her family are wonderfull people and feeding the lambs was such a treat . We loved our 3 days and we will be back Thankyou karen for your hospitality the cake and prosecco was a lovely treat

Sara was a great host, very communicative, lots of information available, a house website was useful. The cal just before was very welcoming and opportunity to ask any questions, just very nice and welcoming

We loved our stay at pond cottage. The location was great and the views from the hot tub were amazing. We enjoyed all the little extra touches such as the dressing gowns, fresh bread, cookies, jam and milk. We had everything we needed and had a very comfortable stay. We would definitely return.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Foul Green Farm where we joined a group of friends and family attending a local wedding. My booking included the Barn and the Bottom Pigsty. Both cottages were immaculate, and absolutely beautiful. The Barn has a functional downstairs space with a sofa, place to dine and everything you could need in the kitchen. The bathroom, is a large wet room with a nice shower and plenty of hot water. The upstairs rooms are stunning with high ceilings and exposed beams. The beds are extremely comfortable and we all slept well. The bottom pigsty is a cosy cottage ideal for a couple. This was my favourite of the cottages, it was just so beautiful and again the bed was really comfy. Alex the host really made our stay. She is friendly attentive and on hand to help. We arrived to snacks and a bottle of Prosecco in the cottages which was a wonderfully kind touch. This is the best air bnb I’ve stayed in and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
