  • We had a lovely time here, the loft was beautiful. Unfortunately we didn’t get the weather we wanted but would love to visit again in the summer time.

  • A comfortable , well equipped barn with a great location for walks and exploring the area.

    Lucy2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Loft is a great base to explore the local area. It is situated close to The Thames and we enjoyed some fab dog walks during our stay. John and Anita are lovely hosts

    Emilie2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place for a romantic getaway. Clean and comfortable. Good walks from the barn.

    Sarah2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The Loft is an excellent “home from home”. The space felt larger (and loftier) than pictures convey. It was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Despite having a neighbouring barn in same driveway, we felt tucked away, and didn’t hear a peep from anyone. It is a perfect property for a couple to chill, and our two dogs enjoyed it too. It is a short walk from the Thames Path, which provides a safe meandering walk to Lechlade and The Riverside Inn, which also welcomed our dogs. We would love to visit again.

    Paul2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place, loads of space and so generous with amazing art on the walls, retro and stylish pieces, soft and squashy comfy sofas, and dreamy bed. Outside space is also perfect with huge pots and troughs and seats with a view and place to enjoy the sunset!

  • Just got back from our stay with our dog, unfortunately the fields were flooded so we couldn't enjoy the near by walks, but that is no ones fault, but there are plenty of places to take the dog to nearby in the car. The house was lovely and tidy and the hosts were very helpful especially when helping us was the dog blanket after he was sick in the car. Nice little cottage, perfect for the fiance and I, nice and clean too. Thanks for having us.

  • One of the most beautiful Air BNB's we have ever stayed in. Ben was a fantastic host, a lovely guy and he really goes above and beyond in every element to ensure you have the best stay possible. He was there to meet us when we arrived and gave us a tour around the house and how to use all of the facilities. The house is absolutely stunning and a lot of thought has gone into maintaining the original details of the house but with some modern touches such as the kitchen and bathroom. It was the perfect weekend getaway, I just wish we could have stayed for longer!

    Cat & Mike2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely weekend at Ben's place. It is very tastefully decorated and Ben has thought of everything you could possibly need or want. The location is peaceful and perfect for visiting lovely Cotswold villages. We were sorry to leave and would definitely return.

The Barn, sits in the gardens of Bridge House in the historic town of Lechlade, gateway to the Cotswolds. Whilst the interior has been modernised to provide luxurious accommodation, it still retains much of it's period charm and character.
The Barn sleeps 6 people and comprises 1 double bedroom and 1 family room which sleeps 4. There is a bathroom with power shower, wc and basin. Downstairs the open plan kitchen/dining area is perfect for a relaxed breakfast or a romantic dinner. The light and airy sitting room looks out through white wooden shutters onto the beautiful garden. 2 large sofas provide a comfortable setting for relaxing whether you're chatting with friends or watching TV and there is a piano for our more musical guests.
The bustling market town of Lechlade-on-Thames sits on the southern edge of the Cotswolds and is named after the River Leach which joins the Thames nearby. It's a favourite mooring spot for river boats and a popular location for fishermen. There are several pubs, restaurants and antique shops to visit in the town as well as the famous Christmas shop. There is a plethora of walks, not just along the banks of the Thames but around the lakes and surrounding countryside. It's a wonderful place from which to explore the nearby towns and villages and discover the beauty of the Cotswolds.

  • The Barn really was the perfect place for a chilled girly weekend. Deborahs home is so beautiful and has everything you need! Being a gated property with a lovely garden area, meant you truly felt secluded, despite only being a few minute walk from the town. Deborah had made so many lovely personal touches that were very much appreciated. We were so close to many attractions. We will definitely all be visiting The Barn again.

  • We had a lovely weekend! The place was lovely and just what we needed. Everything was great, Piers was welcoming - if we could make one change we wish Binky was included in the stay as we fell in love with her! Thank you so much Piers.

The former Apple store has been newly updated to provide a wonderful space with a kitchenette, shower room and large, comfortable bedroom area overlooking the front lawn of the property. Situated in a rural location, yet close to local amenities, the site offers great privacy.
  • Gus's place is spacious and comfortable, and Gus was a very helpful host.

    Timothy2020-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding accomodation. Gus is really helpful and and communication with him is brilliant; making me feel really at ease here. The Apple Store is perfectly accomodated and lovely and clean. The extra touches were great such as: shampoo, cereal, milk etc. It is decorated to a very high standard with homely touches. The outdoor is very tranquil, making it a very peaceful stay. It is ideal for work trips to Brize Norton and seeing the lovely surrounding areas.

  • A comfortable, immaculate annex in a beautiful, peaceful location in the Oxfordshire countryside. Stayed here while attending a wedding at nearby Caswell House. Would definitely recommend staying here.

  • Gus was so helpful and was excellent at replying promptly to messages . The Apple Store was ideally situated for us whilst visiting family and is in a lovely , quiet location attached to Gus’s farmhouse. It is warm, comfortable and an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds and nearby towns.

  • Very nice place with the middle of the nature.... I can highly recommend ... we may come back soon

    Jordi2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent stay. Large room with exquisite decoration. Very comfortable stay and highly recommended. Since the accommodation has no address in the countryside, the location marked by the homeowner is actually another road, plus the homeowner is not very easy to point the way. It took me half an hour to find the place, and I have been suggested to the owner to add a GPS location. This makes it easy to find. The water heater stopped working three times, and the owner said to find someone to check it.

Surrounded by nothing but acres of fields filled with wildlife, College Farm Cottage is a charming 18th Century child- and dog-friendly* property, sleeping 3 guests in 2 bed-rooms with 1 bathroom. A short drive from the Cotswold towns of Burford and Lechlade, College Farm Cottage is perfect for guests seeking open space and tranquillity, with plenty of walking routes quite literally on your doorstep.
*Dogs: Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome at the cottage at an additional cost of £30 per dog. Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog(s) and we will then revise your booking confirmation. Introduction Low hedges, acres of flat green fields and an abundance of wildlife – these are the scenes that will greet you as you head towards College Farm Cottage. Situated on the expansive Bradwell Grove Estate, home to the Cotswold Wildlife Park, it’s hard to im-agine that you are only a few miles from Burford and Lechlade. As you make your way along the open fence-less lanes, you will almost feel as though you’re driving through the middle of the fields. Once you have arrived at the end of the farm track, you will find a delightful cottage with plenty of character – if you’re visiting in the summer months, you’ll even get to appreciate College Farm Cottage in all of its beautiful Wiste-ria–covered glory. College farm was built in 1771 by Trinity College of the University of Oxford for the use of tenant farmers as a source of additional income for the college. A working farm up until recent years, College Farm is now owned by the Bradwell Grove Estate, home to the nearby Cotswold Wildlife Park that exhibits over 260 different species of ani-mals – on a quiet day you may even be able to hear the lions roaring from the cottage! Although College Farm is no longer a working farm, it is surrounded by mainly arable farmland, all of which is organic. With a strong emphasis on conservation around the estate, there is plenty of wildlife to observe, from ground nesting birds to deer. You only have to step outside of the door at College Farm Cottage and you are right in the heart of unspoilt countryside, with bridle paths and walking routes running alongside the farmyard. Inside, the cottage is a lovely mix of traditional and new. The original flagstone flooring and woodburner add a touch of rustic charm, while there’s a new JVC Smart TV for guest use. Benefitting from a bright and airy feeling throughout, the cottage is decorat-ed in neutral tones, accented by quirky pops of colour and unique pieces of art and furniture. The back door opens out into a garden, while the windows boast views of nothing but green fields and the historic farmyard buildings. If you’re looking for peace, tranquillity and open starry skies, you’ve come to the right place. Despite its rural location, College Farm Cottage is just a 5-10 minute drive from the beautiful market town of Burford, where you will find artisan boutiques, cosy cafés, and interesting pubs. Walk to the top of the High Street and look back down the hill to enjoy one of the most exquisite views in the Cotswolds – and perhaps the finest ‘streetscape’ in England! Full Description Ground Floor Enter through the front door straight into the… Sitting Room A bright and spacious living space, the Sitting Room has a wonderful quintessential country cottage feel to it. The original flagstone flooring is a characterful feature of this property, eve-ry stone is individual and unique. The Sitting Room boasts some beautiful pieces of furniture and artwork, adding eccentric and colourful highlights to a lovely relaxing room. There is a JVC Smart TV for guests to use, as well as a selection of books and games on the built-in shelves next to the fireplace. The WIFI router can be found in the Sitting Room window. Turn right into the… Family Bathroom The bathroom offers guests a bath with a fixed overhead shower, toilet and washbasin with one of the loveliest views in the cottage! Outside The garden of College Farm Cottage can be accessed via the back door from the Kitch-en. A great space for children to play or to even enjoy a BBQ or drink in the sun, the private garden is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the country-side, except for maybe the occasional lion roar…
Benefitting from the best of both worlds, College Farm Cottage enjoys a secluded location but is also the perfect location for exploring Burford and the wider Cotswolds. Please see the framed OS map in the sitting room where College Farm sits exactly cen-trally. In just a 5-10 minute drive you will find yourself on the High Street of Burford, a stunning medieval market town with plenty to offer. The excellent Co-operative su-permarket on the High Street stocks all immediate shopping requirements and is open 7am – 10pm every day of the week. There is also a Co-operative supermarket in Lech-lade, a 5-10 minute drive in the opposite direction to Burford, open 8am-8pm every day. There are some great cafés in Burford. Head towards the historic church and you will discover the newly built Warwick Hall and café, ideal for a morning coffee and snacks. Another good spot for a reviving cup of coffee or tea is Lynwood & Co on the High Street, where you can also buy delicious local artisan-made Sourdough bread and of course the famous Huffkins tea shop. If you find yourself parking in the main car park for Burford near the church (free parking) you will cross the mill-race connecting to the charming River Windrush that meanders through the Cotswolds, a lovely spot to feed the ducks and swans! Burford used to be a major coaching town between London and the West Country and was home to 35 coaching inns! The town still retains 13 pubs, of which some favour-ites are The Angel, a very good gastropub, The Highway and The Lamb on Sheep Street. There’s also a great variety of specialist shops to explore – including Maggie White and the fascinating Tolsey Museum. Alternatively, The Victoria in Eastleach, a very pretty Cotswold village nearby, is about an hour walk from the cottage and is a wonderful pub with good food, recommended by Emma and William. Also highly recommended - The Five Alls in Filkins and The Bell in Langford, both excellent pubs. All are popular so booking is essential. Around 5 miles south of the cottage, you will find Lechlade-on-Thames, a small historic town on the Thames, from which London could be reached by boat. With plenty of walks, a thriving market square, pubs, cafes and antique shops, Lechlade is slightly off the beaten tourist track compared to Burford and makes for a great day out. Here you will find a fantastic butcher, Cutler & Bayliss, selling high quality meat, cheese, fresh vegetables and bread as well as another Lynwood & Co café. If you fancy exploring a bit further afield, the beautiful ancient Roman market town of Cirencester is about 10 miles south and also there’s Witney which is an easy 11-mile drive east towards Oxford. Like Cirencester it has a great array of high street shops, larger supermarkets such as M&S, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s, eateries and a modern cinema complex. Also, around 15 miles away is the renowned Daylesford Organic Farm in Kingham, a farm complex that offers a farm shop, restaurant, spa as well as other activities such as farm tours and cooking courses. See the Burford Guidebook for further information.

  • Definitely recommend this place, it’s lovely and snug: all very picturesque and exactly up the street of any cotswold tourists looking for a countryside idyll. Great location near lots of great villages, towns and Oxford. Clean, charismatic, an incredibly comfy bed. Just the January pick-me-up we were after.

  • We had a wonderful time staying at the cottage, which was just what we needed. The setting was very scenic, and we enjoyed the using the wood burner in the living room, which helped with the cold weather! It was also lovely to explore the historic town of Burford nearby.

Entire home suitable for up to 4 people. Located in a Cotswold village with endless rural walks from the doorstep. New for 2020, a luxury Finnish Sauna ( optional extra ). Garden with 2 separate seating areas and brick built BBQ. Field opposite, home to our goats and hens. Private parking adjoining cottage, bustling village pub a stroll along the lane. Many local attractions. A perfect setting for a relaxing retreat.
Beautifully renovated in characterful Cotswolds style. The Cottage has a large living room with separate kitchen and separate conservatory used for dining. It is a cosy space but yet big enough to feel relaxed as a group. A new 3/4 person luxury Finnish sauna is an optional extra.
The village of Alvescot is quintessentially English. It has a lovely local pub serving good food and beer (we recommend to book beforehand) and a church. In the village there is also a large, safe playground for children and a tennis court. The cottage is located next to a farm and stables. It is just lovely to walk out and enjoy the countryside. The popular town of Burford is just a 10 minute drive away. Here there is lots to see and lots to do.
  • The host was very kind, accommodating, and understood our circumstances. We are very grateful.

  • Dominic and his parents were great hosts. The extra touches, like the welcome breakfast were very thoughtful and much appreciated by me and my family, we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend!

    Lorraine2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here with my partner and our one year old daughter, my mum and sister. It was very cosy and relaxing - a lovely place to escape the dreary Feb weather. We took full advantage of the amazing sauna. Although the weather wasn't good enough for much exploring we made it to the Plough for dinner, which we really enjoyed. The village and countryside is very pretty so I could easily have spent a couple more days there. In summer I can imagine the garden is a lovely place to spend time with friends and family. The facilities were great with a well equipped kitchen and lots of cosy blankets to snuggle up in the living room. I liked the dining room setup, which is in the conservatory so very light and airy. The heating kept the place nice and warm. Thanks again for a lovely weekend! Amy

    Amy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage with everything you could wish for. Definitely worth paying the extra for the fabulous sauna! It's like a private spa in the countryside. The kitchen was well kitted out and it felt like a home from home. The only disappointment was having to go home.

    Claire2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is beautifully presented, decorate and furnished to a high standard, wonderfully clean and has all the amenities you need and more. The welcome breakfast made a lovely family breakfast on our first morning with a big selection of teas and coffees etc provided as well. The cottage is within driving distance of all our favourite Cotswolds villages and we also visiting the Cotswold wildlife park and gardens, which was a lovely day out. The village pub is great- child friendly, warm and welcoming. Highly recommended, I’m sure we will be back.

    Hannah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Dominic is a wonderful host. His father Peter who helps manage the property was a great help. We arrived late in the night and it can be a little tricky to find the cottage. He came out to road to ensure we could find our way. The cottage itself has a wonderful feeling of home, with many authentic touches, and several great books and maps of the region. They greeted us with free range eggs which was a thoughtful touch. We thoroughly enjoyed the private garden with wonderful sunlight in the mornings. Several major supermarkets are also conveniently 5 mins driving away and there is local pub/restaurant with very friendly staff. Overall a great 2 days.

    Tomlinson2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for being kind and welcoming even though I arrived late. Relax and leave in small food and warm homes. I want to come back ~ :-)

A unique studio with its own well in the heart of the Cotswolds, this cosy, self-contained flat is perfect for a get-away-from-it-all break. Tucked away off a very quiet lane and surrounded by fields, it is perfect for walking and cycling with footpaths and bridleways from the property. Please note; there is a mezzanine sleeping platform which is accessed by a ladder.
The Well House is located within the property of Bazeland Farm which a busy family home. There will usually be someone onsite if you need anything, but it is separate from the house. We also have a very friendly Terrier which may be loose outside and there are horses and ponies on the farm. An excellent hotel and pub are each about a mile away, and it is in the middle of the triangle of Oxford, Cheltenham and Swindon for access to days out sightseeing, shopping, racing, Blenheim Palace and Badminton. Witney, Burford, Bibury, Lechlade, Faringdon and the Cotswolds ANOB are all within 15 minutes.
  • Our stay at Sabine's place was lovely. The place was very clean and has all the amenities you'd need for a weekend stay. The well is certainly a nice touch!

    Sam2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • A great little gem of a place. Nicely tucked between two small villages that offer great eating and drinking. Walking into the village was a lovely way to start/ end the day with gorgeous sunsets and fields all around. Sabine offered some great suggestions of things to do and we had a wonderful stay. I can not recommend the William Morris Manor enough- very quaint and eclectic! Thanks Sabine for a lovely stay- and much needed escape from London!

    Ben2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful little place with a lot of character! Went for a delicious breakfast at Lynwood Cafe in Lechlade following Sabine’s recommendation. Would definitely recommend.

    Sarah2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely place to stay, the location was amazing. Sabine had some great tips on where go go in the local area and the pubs were fantastic. We went to the plough in Cranfield, the walk to it was really pleasant and the food there was amazing. Can highly recommend the aged beef burger ❤. The space is a decent size and there were basic kitchen amenities, microwave and sink.

    Sam2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is comfortable, well- located and quirky- the bed and glass floor is a lovely treat. Definitely worth the price. Sabine was a great host, very friendly, approachable and happy to share some great tips about the area. Local pubs were lovely and walk were easy to find. Would consider going back in the future without a doubt.

    Rubi2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Quirky sleeping platform with a very comfortable mattress! The accommodation is compact but was perfect for my requirements.

    Jeremy2019-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Loved Sabine's Well House, tucked away in the country side, perfect for two people, lovely quirk having the original well covered with glass inside. It is basic, bring utensils if you want to cook your own food but the little fridge and kettle was handy. Wi-Fi was handy for looking at maps and what to do in the area, and Sabine gave some great tips for things to do locally too! Just wish we had longer there!

    Anna2019-03-24T00:00:00Z

Location, location, location. The Little Barn is in the heart of Clanfield which has a beautiful bakery and post office, a wonderful traditional country pub with great pub-grub and a hotel with restaurant and outstanding gin pantry! We have immediate access to a wide range of wonderful country footpaths, and we're about a mile from the famous Thames Path. • Fabulous two night stay. Spotlessly clear, warm and cosy with great amenities close by. Would absolutely stay again.

  • 10 out of 10, we loved our stay. The little barn is very cozy. Mary took care of us and gave fantastic local recommendations.

    Christian2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful stay just over an hour from London - Mary's gorgeous converted barn is the perfect place for a couple seeking some solitude away from the hustle and bustle. Mary was an incredible host (despite not being in the country, she responded to any message within minutes, organised an easy check in & even baked a cake for our arrival). The location of the property is wonderful - a 2 minute walk from the local pub (fantastic food!), and right on the doorstep of the Cotswolds, where you can get to most towns within a 1/2 hour. Highly recommend !

    Sadie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely weekend tucked up in the cosy barn (even with rainy weather!). Great space, all the amenities you need. We were hoping to get out on a few nature walks but with very rainy weather we weren’t able to, despite the weather we had a very relaxing weekend with the fire heater on and cosied up with some lovely cake made so kindly by Mary. Mary was a lovely host, met us at the door and welcomed us into the barn to show us how everything worked. She pointed out some helpful maps she had left and the guide for the barn which was super helpful. She also left some lovely valentines chocolate, special touches like that made all the difference for us. And the milk in the fridge was very welcome after a long journey there! The barn looks out onto the garden and fields in the distance which made us feel away from the busy-ness of life! It’s a good location to explore some of countryside and the pub really is just a few meters up the road! We were really looking for a weekend away just to relax and take it easy, and that’s exactly what we had. We’re now back feeling very relaxed and well rested! Thanks so much.

    Emma2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This space is incredibly lovely. My husband and I visited for my birthday and got rained in by a winter storm- I couldn’t have hoped for a cosier place to be! A lovely faux stove, cozy couch, and gorgeous beam infrastructure- we had a delightful time. Highly recommended!

    Sarah2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for two nights in the barn with my fianceé. It was comfortable, private and larger than expected. Don't go expecting to be able to cook anything fancy, but the basics are all there. WiFi was brilliant, heating was great. Mary's communication was also fantastic. Highly recommended!

The house is approx 450 years old with many original features. The upstairs space which is for guests has a cosy double room, a shower room and a small sitting room. There is a kettle, a toaster, microwave and small fridge. The house is situated in the centre of Burford. Views of the surrounding area from the bedroom and close to main street, shops, restaurants and pubs. Perfect location to tour the Cotswolds. Ample parking in the local carpark which is 100m away and free street parking
  • Great location in the heart of Burford, plenty of great places for a meal or a drink, car park was a 2 minute walk away. Host were very friendly and welcoming. The house was sparkling clean, would definitely return if stopping in the area again.

  • A cosy Cotswolds getaway. Rayma and Trevor were fantastic hosts who made me feel very welcome. The room was beautifully decorated and cosy. It even had an electric heater to keep you warm on a winters night. The reception room was an added bonus, which had a toaster, microwave and mini fridge. The hosts provided amble tea and coffee making facilities. Just what I like! Thank you for a perfect weekend away. I would love to come and stay again sometime!

  • We had a lovely stay in Burford, and really enjoyed the cosy room and incredible location for pubs and a walk in the countryside. Thanks for having us!

    Katie2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Rayma's place in Burford is a beautiful 500 years old home. The Airbnb space you get will be the top floor which consists of a bed room, a living/dining space where you have seating facilities and also microwave, mini fridge and cutlery and your own bathroom. There is also a provision for tea and coffee provided. The bed is cozy and comfy and the room is maintained warm during winters. In the bath space, you get fresh towels, soap and shampoo. Though Breakfast is not provided we have many options to eat out. Trevor and Rayma are very kind and would do everything possible to make your stay memorable. I would mark this as a rare find.

Set in the tranquil village of Clanfield, Oxfordshire, this new and extremely comfortable, centrally heated stone built ‘home from home’ is the ideal base from which to explore the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. Free wifi. On-site parking.
Downstairs is open plan with a full kitchen including oven, hob, fridge (with freezer compartment) and dishwasher with ample crockery and utensils for your stay. The living area provides sofa seating with TV and faux log burner giving views over open fields. Also downstairs, and thankfully not open plan, is a shower room and toilet with heated towel rails. Stairs lead up to a spacious carpeted bedroom with double bed and wardrobe. Views across fields.
The Clanfield Tavern just yards away serves good food and fine ale and often has live music and open-mic evenings. The Oxfordshire Gin Pantry at The Plough with more than 500 different gins is a popular haunt for visitors to the village. There is a small local shop/Post Office which incorporates Blake’s, an award winning artisan bakery and coffee shop (I can thoroughly recommend their fresh cinnamon rolls, home made sausage rolls and Scotch eggs). A larger shop (Coop) can be found just a mile away in the popular village of Bampton where some of the Downton Abbey series was filmed. Many interesting walks in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Why not walk down to the Thames and stop for a couple of drinks at The Swan at Radcot? There is usually something going on here and is a very popular watering hole. Then walk on alongside the Thames to Kelmscott and visit Kelmscott Manor, the summer home of William Morris, or perhaps another drink at the Plough Inn. There seems to be a theme emerging here! The Hideaway is a great place from which to discover all that the beautiful Cotswolds have to offer. Come and enjoy a few days away at a slower pace.
  • The hideaway is the perfect location for a quiet break in the country. Vanessa was quick to reply to me, and made me feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend it to anyone 🙂

  • Celia has a lovely house in a charming village convenient to Oxford and wonderfully charming villages and towns. She'll help you find great places to eat and visit, including writing out a great tour of Oxford (which she tailors to your interests). She makes a scrumptious breakfast every morning and has a fire going to relax by on cold evenings. I had a lovely stay and hated to leave. Thanks for sharing your home, and your sweet dogs, with me during my visit.

    Dale Karen2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Celia has a ton of good info on the area, it was a delight to stay at her lovely countryside home.

    Meridith2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • I was very happy to find Celia’s place and she was a lovely host. I will be back for sure to explore the walks next time as I was on a flying visit on this occasion. You couldn’t fault Celia’s approach to hospitality and her house was even prettier than in the pictures. Until next time!

  • Lovely cotswold village with some famous historical occupants. Great walks and a lovely local pub. Celia was a lovely host and has a beautiful home.

    Wendy2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house, great spot and Celia is a welcoming and friendly host who honestly makes you feel like a guest rather than a ‘customer ‘. Really enjoyed my stay there.

  • Wow! Amazing stay, such a lovely home and Celia is so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again 5*

    Stefan2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very old house in a wonderful location. It shows its age but Celia, the hostess, is marvelous. Don’t expect modern plumbing and the shower was dodgy for me but I had a nice bath instead. The breakfast I had was five star; would have cost 30£ in a London hotel. I would happily return and hope I have the chance someday.

    David And Betsy2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • The highlight of my UK trip without doubt is staying with Celia. Her local knowledge and tips were valued and always on the money, the house has a marvellous history, the dogs were delightful, her culinary skills are to die for. Just the perfect base to use for my daily walks along the Thames path. I’ll miss it, the lovely village and hope to return one day.

The Pigsty has been lovingly converted into a double en suite room with TV, internet, tea and coffee. The room opens up onto a sunny, newly paved court yard with outdoor seating for you to enjoy. The private entrance via a locked gate means you can come and go as you please. Located in central Lechlade with the river Thames, open fields, pubs, restaurants and cafes on your door step. It's a vibrant and friendly market town with plenty to do!
Built circa 1805 this property was originally a pigsty and later converted in to the wash house for the cottage built around 1850. Now it's a quirky en suite room with handmade mahogany double glazed doors and windows, under floor heating, stone sink, remote controlled lighting and extractor fan and opens up onto a sunny court yard for you to enjoy. The room itself can be used as living room, bedroom or work space with the fold out futon and table, as illustrated in the photos. Note: due to limited space, toilet has a curtain instead of a door. Pigsty is located about 4 metres from my kitchen/back door
Lechlade a very social and friendly place. The terrace row where the Pigsty is situated is a throw back to 1940s living, with close neighbours and cups of tea over the garden fence. It's charming and you'll certainly live like a local and not a tourist.
  • Absolutely superb.

    Noel2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Isla’s Pigsty is the cutest most comfortable little space you can imagine. We wanted to get out of London to switch off and be in nature. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better location. The Pigsty is located in the centre of the picturesque village of Lechlade-on-Thames, with all amenities you could want in a few min walking distance, and on top of a local walking route that takes you along the Thames across local fields. Isla was super responsive so check-in was a breeze and she was on hand for any tips. Thanks Isla!

  • This is a beautiful cottage, stylishly furnished, with the essential comfy beds, on a quiet road so you can wake up peacefully. We had everything we needed, with friendly neighbours who donated a few garlic cloves we’d forgotten. Fantastic for long or short cotswold walks or strolling around all the local villages and towns with cafe’s and antique shops etc. Great food at the pub next door too. Thank you Nadine.

  • A lovely cottage in a great location. Very stylishly appointed, spotless and homely. We had a couple of queries, and Nadine always answered immediately. Good pub/food recommendation of the village pub, the Plough Inn. And also the Five Alls in the next village.

  • Jasmine Cottage is the quintessential English cottage, impeccably decorated and ideally located for exploring the nearby Cotswolds. The garden area is the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing, and the sitting room is quaint and cozy – unfortunately it did not cool off enough to enjoy the wood fireplace. We thoroughly enjoyed our week’s stay here.

  • We loved our stay at the cottage- it’s a beautiful home and very stylish. We loved having breakfast in the private garden and the beds are so so comfortable (didn’t want to get up in the mornings!). Nadine was so communicative and check in was easy. Alvescot is a small and cute little village. The Plough pub is right next door and does excellent fish & chips! We can’t wait to come back again.

  • Such a beautiful, charming and clean home. Our stay at Nadine’s has been nothing short of outstanding. From the cosy evenings spent in front of the wood burner to the super comfy beds- the mattresses were among the best we've ever slept on! I simply cannot recommend this place enough. The host Nadine was so friendly and helpful and we truly appreciated all the thoughtful touches and advice that enabled us to make the most of our short stay. Thank you for sharing your exquisite home with us. We had a wonderful stay, and it was the perfect place to catch up with friends and explore the beautiful Cotswolds. The cottage is in a great location- the village is idyllic- and we had a delicious meal at The Plough pub located next door. We would be delighted to stay at Nadine’s cottage again in the future. This room contains either a super king size bed or two single beds, and a single pull out bed is available upon request. There is a full length mirror with storage space beneath, along with two bedside tables and wall hooks for additional storage; Family bathroom: Contains a bath with handheld shower attachment, toilet and wash basin; Bedroom 3: Overlooking the garden, this pretty room has exposed wooden beams and contains either a super king size bed or two single beds, a single pull out bed which is available upon request, a wardrobe enclave, chest of drawers and a wall mirror; Shower room: Contains a large walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin; Bedroom 4: This bright room with exposed beams contains either a king size bed or two 75cm wide single beds, storage shelves and wall hooks for hanging clothes. The garden is accessed via the utility room and is bordered by an ornate dry-stone wall. Laid mostly to lawn, this well-tended outside space has lots of mature trees to provide shade, and established shrub-filled borders. There are two sun loungers available for guests, as well as a bistro table and chairs set. At the end of the garden is a wooded area with a raised shallow pond and as the pond is not fenced off, children and dogs should be supervised at all times. There is a bright courtyard at the side of the property which has a large wooden table with seating for ten, along with a charcoal barbecue, perfect for al fresco dining. Off-street parking for two cars is available on the shared driveway and further on-street parking is readily available at the front of the property.
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
  • We booked a wonderful 3 night stay and was not disappointed. Claire out host communicated excellently. Beautiful location and stylish and spacious accommodation. The beds were so comfortable that we all slept so well. After long country walks it was fabulous to be able relax in the lounge with a roaring fire. The board games were a wonderful bonus and a fair few hours were spent around the kitchen table in competitive mode. Highly recommend Dunford Barn and will definitely be returning.

  • Lovely property, well equipped, plenty of space and we used all 11 beds. Very clean, plenty of hot water, efficient wood burning stove. Highly recommend.

  • We all thoroughly enjoyed our short stay (family reunion) at Dunford Barn. It was the perfect ‘home from home’ having been beautifully & tastefully renovated only last year. We found it extremely comfortable, cosy & well-equipped. Claire is a fantastic host & so responsive to any query, no matter how small. We would definitely stay again & strongly recommend it to other visitors as the perfect base from which to explore the wonderful Cotswolds.

    Anita2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • The house was large, well decorated and spotlessly clean! There was more than enough space for a group of 10 adults, and the kitchen was well equipped. Met in person at the house and I felt that we could easily contact Claire if we needed to (although the instructions were very clear so it wasn't needed!) Thanks!

The ground floor of the property consists of lounge/diner with table that sits 6. There’s an L-shaped sofa that converts into a double bed and 42” LCD. Kitchen consists of microwave, kettle, fridge, plug in induction on ring and toaster and all the essentials you need. The ground floor has underfloor heating so it’s cosy warm. Upstairs is a large bedroom with fantastic walk-in shower, another sofa bed and place to hang your stuff up. There’s even space for your four legged friend.
There are electric gates that provide access to the property and off-road secure parking for several cars. If the weather is nice feel free to sit outside. The bifold doors open right up and that’s the perfect spot for a sun- downer.
Bampton is a pretty village of Cotswold stone buildings and impressive church that was used as the backdrop to the village scenes in Downton Abbey. There are 4 pubs in the village, a couple of places to grab a good breakfast, Co-Op shop for all your needs, post office, cash-point and even a hair salon. We are surrounded by amazing countryside, dog walks and some of the best pubs in the country.
  • I've had 3 weeks staying at Hannah and Nick's beautiful annex. As it was during the Coronavirus lockdown I spent a lot of time on site. There are some beautiful walks including a 6 mile one down to the river Thames. The annex is like new, very modern, loads of plugs, USB ports and clever automatic lighting in the spotlessly clean bathroom. Bedding is also new, I've a bit of 'thing' about sleeping on other people's pillows but no fear here, all fresh and very clean. As far as hosts are concerned, you can't get better! They are attentive without being intrusive, they also provide lovely kind touches of luxury to make you feel truly at home. Even Buddy the dog is super friendly It's a peaceful, safe place for your dog, mine loved the little treats provided for her. I honestly can't recommend it enough, I was in between homes so a difficult time which Hannah and Nick made so very easy! If you want a touch of luxury whilst staying in beautiful Oxfordshire countryside...just book it, you won't be disappointed!

    Michelle2020-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is the most beautifully decorated, sparkling clean and furnished accommodation you could possibly wish for. Very tranquil, you are assured of a good night's sleep in a super comfy bed. The garden is lovely for dogs, Hannah and Nick amazingly welcoming but not intrusive. There are some really lovely touches to make you feel completely at home the instant you walk into the house. I'll briefly mention the shower....just come to experience the best shower you will ever go in! I arrived at the start of the Coronovirus issue having just completed on the sale of my house. Uncertain times in so many ways for me. Hannah and Nick have bent over backwards to help me out whilst my little world fell apart. I'm looking forward to another 4 weeks here - it really is a home from home.

    Michelle2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location in a delightful village. The property is cosy, very clean, comfortable and warm and has everything you could possibly need. Nick and Hannah are helpful and charming. We would definitely come back!

  • I cannot thank Nick and Hannah enough for a lovely stay. The space is stylish, immaculately clean and of a high quality. The location is perfect for exploring the Cotswolds and close enough to towns such as Witney and Oxford for shopping etc. Nick and Hannah were perfect hosts, replying straight back to messages and chilled out when welcoming you to their lovely property. Can’t compliment them enough - perfect ... a complement to Airbnb

  • Gorgeous place which is only a very short walk into Bampton. Really nice little touches aroundthe place, with a relaxing lounge, neat little kitchen and a gloriously comfortable bedroom. The ensuite is fabulous and decorated so well with a lovely shower. We absolutely loved our stay here, if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a lovely local village where you can properly unwind - this is the place for you! Nick and Hannah were very accommodating and just left us to it for the whole weekend. Highly recommended!
