We enjoyed our 2 nights stay in this cleverly designed, wonderfully decorated flat. Great retro/industrial fun vibe. The outside spaces were private, comfortable and lovely. Be sure to visit the Kilcunda General Store for great food and coffee.

Had a night at Cass' place for our 12th wedding anniversary. We had a great stay. Really comfy king bed, perfectly clean and such an awesome outdoor shower. Really nice friendly host as well. Highly recommend to others.

Earth and Sea is totally beautiful. We found it super relaxing, comfortable and quiet.

Cass's place was one of the nicest Air Bnb's we have stayed in. The kitchen facilities are excellent with plenty of saucepans, crockery, glassware etc. , plus tea, coffee, coffee plunger, even biscuits. The outdoor areas are beautifully furnished for relaxation, as is inside, and the decor is very tasteful. Overall Cass has gone to a lot of thought and trouble to make this a very welcoming and comfortable stay. Highly recommended for a quite country break. 10 minutes walk to the beach, the pub and a lovely cafe/general store.

Ned and Nicole's place was great we had a short stay but it was very peaceful and relaxing. Nicole was very warm and welcoming which made us feel very at home. With lovely touches, we were well catered for. The house is in a great spot very quiet in beautiful surroundings. The farm animals made it extra special. We’ve been wanting to visit Archies Creek Hotel for ages and what a fantastic experience we had! Not only is Mary’s hospitality so incredibly warm that you feel as though you’re staying with a dear friend, the rooms are simple but clean (with crisp fresh sheets which are divine!), very peaceful and all we needed for our mini mid week getaway. The chef, Nathan’s menu is fantastic - to be able to have so much variety and many vegetarian/vegan dishes to choose from in the country is a great surprise and every dish was delicious. Topped off by a wonderful range of mostly local beer, wines and our own Loch gin and a brilliant selection of single malt whiskey! Huge beer garden and inside a cosy and super friendly ambience. The weekends are busy with their bands but we highly recommend also going mid week when you can truly experience this teams amazing hospitality. Cannot wait to go back very soon

Archies Creek Hotel is an oasis, a gem of a place with warmth, character and wonderful hospitality whether you're just passing through or there to see some terrific music put on by the Caravan Club, a Melbourne institution. If you're staying, the rooms are small but very clean with some nice touches. Note that like many small country pubs, the bathroom is shared but lockable for fully private use.

Good budget, room is a bit small but newly painted and clean. 10mins drive to Wonthaggi CBD. Host was lovely and warm welcome.

John and Elaine's house provides an ideal location to explore South Gippsland and Phillip Island. John and Elaine were warm and welcoming. They are currently building another staircase to maintain separate access, as they live on the top floor. Lovely hot shower, comfy bed and an outdoor area/bbq.

John and Elaine gave me a home afar from home. Their house is truly a home, very close to the beach and the hiking path and just remote enough to escape the city easily. It and Kilcunda are a newfound place of peace.

John and Elaine’s place was in a perfect location for me. They live upstairs you stay downstairs. There is a stairwell in between but they put a screen at the bottom. Lovely decor, nice and clean, ocean sounds from the bedroom window. There are two different outside areas to sit and enjoy the garden. Basic but adequate kitchen amenities microwave, toaster and kettle. WiFi, TV, DVD and Chromecast available for use. Even a toybox if you have kids. Walking distance to the beach and great local tips. John and Elaine were lovely hosts and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Looking forward to coming back to stay next time.

Wonderful place to stay. Very private, clean and excellent value. Close to everything in Wonthaggi. Great to have fresh bread and milk provided on top of the multiple choices of breakfast cereals and spreads. I even had no trouble figuring out the coffee machine :-) We will definitely stay again.

We enjoyed a lovely, relaxing long-weekend on the farm. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed, the scenery was spectacular and the cottage was really lovely. Lots of beautiful little touches, like the fragrant fresh roses and all the yummy things for brekky. Andrew and Annette went out of their way to help, like when we couldn't get the fire started (such city-slickers!), they were there in a heartbeat to get it roaring for us. Andrew took us on a walk to the top paddock to meet the cows and show us a great view of the property, and their son Jack took us to cuddle the chickens (who gave us some lovely eggs for brekky). Bed was comfy as demonstrated by our lunch-time sleep ins! Thanks very much.

We had a relaxing and peaceful stay, enjoying the views and my daughter loved the opportunity to feed some of the animals. Rockbank Retreat is a true gem - amazing facilities suitable for a long weekend or longer stay, welcoming and lovely hosts with the best insider tips about the area and a stunning view. Beautiful and quiet beaches nearby, local shops and restaurants in a short driving distance and the food provided by Andrew and Annette was delicious. We had a wonderful 5 days there and hope to be back sooner rather than later!

Andrew and Annette are terrific hosts. TheIr accommodation was clean and tidy. They have included many extras, one being the lovely warming port!! While they're in the country we found it ideal for day trips to Wilson's Prometory, Phillip island and many of the beautiful towns around the area. I'm sure we'll be back.

Brilliant place and with lovely views, relaxing wildlife around like rabbits hopping around and birds building nests. The place is lovely with open fire, candles, TV, big kitchen and lovely bedroom. Shower nice and strong. Breakfast foods a lovely touch, as well as the hand picked flowers throughout. We would come back for sure!

Anna's place was wonderful and so lovely to walk into after a long day exploring Wilson's Prom. It was homely and loved the thoughtful touches like the chocolates on the kitchen bench and blackberries in the fridge! Well stocked pantry, extra towels, modern shower. The property was sparkling clean and lots of local information. We sat on the veranda listening to the birds, and then enjoyed the wood fire. So cosy. I would stay here again

Anna's place was very clean, and had beautiful thought out things around the place.

We have a great one night stay in the Beehive. Our boys loved playing soccer on the grass area. Clean and cozy.

The Beehive is a lovely restored miners cottage. It is great for a family as it has a lovely backyard and lots of area for the kids to play in. The cottage is very clean and has all the amenities required for a nice and comfortable stay.

Highly recommended, we loved our stay at The Beehive! Many thoughtful touches throughout this meticulously renovated cottage in a convenient and quiet location. Easy access to shops and restaurants, walk to historic State Coal mine facility, easy drives to great beaches, who needs Inverloch anyway!!

Great, friendly host and place to stay

The Beehive One is a lovely little cottage. It is immaculately clean and tidy, and the decor is in good taste. Kitchen well equipped for basic cooking. Lots of little touches that make the place feel cosy and comfortable. Very good hot water in the shower. I would certainly return and don't hesitate in recommending it for a nice get away. Photos and descriptions are accurate.

Colleen's farm stay property has breath taking views! Very relaxing with everything that you could possibly need. Colleen & her husband were very kind and communicative hosts who made sure our stay was enjoyable. We really appreciated the extra touches of freshly baked bread and a fridge stocked with goodies to create a cooked breakfast.

Great place to stay, especially with dogs! Very secure yard and lovely well kept garden. Great sized garage for two cars as well as a separate gated yard perfect for storing boats, etc! The house was in perfect condition, very comfy beds!! Perfect entertaining both inside and outside. The house is a good 12 minute drive from the beach however we still found it a great central location between Venus bay, Inverloch, Cape Paterson and Phillip Island 😊

Perfect for an overnight stop

We really enjoyed this homestay. It felt as being with friend rather than in a bnb. Phil's parents were so friendly and helped us out with everything we needed. Also we were close to the beach (by car) and Wonthaggi has interesting historical sites to visit. Finally it was a good place to stay with our baby daughter. We definitely recommend staying here!

This is a nice comfortable place, well stocked and clean, and the hosts were very helpful. The location is pleasant and quiet and peaceful.

This was great for our group. We were organisers of a competition happening locally so this was a perfect spot to be. Close to Wonthaggi, and close to Dalyston Hall where we had an evening function. There were 4 couples and a couple of single blokes so the bedding configuration was perfect. Great having a lounge area and large kitchen area. Didn't get time to use the outside area, but we all thought that would be great, especially in summer. Able to park 4 cars inside the gate. Overall it was perfect for what we needed. Thankyou

Excellent in every way and the local Hotel has great meals and you can walk there.

Everything is very good. The only thing that is lacking in the US is that the gas is not used for a long time, but the impact is not great!

Killy Views is stunning and definitely will not disappoint. Vicky is a very thoughtful host, with lots of beautiful touches that make your stay feel super special. For example, she provides books/dvd’s/games all in good condition. There was also a nice bottle of red on arrival. And a karaoke microphone which our kids loved! I would definitely recommend Killy Views to anyone looking for a getaway by the beach.

We had a wonderful family weekender! We thoroughly enjoyed the clean and cozy accommodations. Lots of fun with the espresso machine. The eggs, fruit toast and preserves were yummy. We recommend this property for anyone wanting a luxurious stay away. Fabulous home, setting amazing and amenities first class. We enjoyed it thoroughly and it exceeded our expectations.

There isnt the right words to explain just how beautiful the location and house was. The extra touches such as the fire place being turned on before our arrival, fresh farm laid eggs, organic milk, homemade local products and waiting up until the very early hours of the morning to make sure we arrived safely from Perth made the stay even more perfect. We stayed the motoGP weekend and we will be back with friends next time! The styling of your house is like something out of a movie. Thank you very much Jake and Gemma for having us, our only regret is that we didnt stay longer.

Villa Collina was beautiful - the interiors are even better than the photos with everything beautifully styled & thoughtful touches like fresh picked lemons on the counter & the fire set ready to go. 2 out of 3 of the bedrooms are ENORMOUS with the big rooms getting their own en-suite bathrooms & the 3rd bedroom has exclusive use of the main bathroom. We enjoyed hanging out in the pool spa at sunset & ate lunch & breakfast out on the terrace, which has views sweeping across the most lush green hills dotted with cows - it’s so idyllic! Jake, one of the hosts, checked in on us upon arrival but then left us completely to ourselves, so even though you’re essentially living under the same roof, the villa is so cleverly designed that you barely notice. Some windows of the villa look out into the owners courtyard spaces but again, you don’t even notice because the views are just so stunning! The breakfast provisions provided would be adequate for a light breakfast but bring in extra if you want a feast for brunch on the terrace which is what we did. There are even a few card games & books in the living room & plenty of other local reading material. Wish our stay was longer but we’ll be back!

There is so much great stuff to do around this part of Vic but when you arrive you actually dont want yo leave. So restful, the only traffic is locals, all you hear is cows n birds and the views in any direction are wonderful. The house is full of character but with all the modern amenities you'd want. Generous supply of firewood but also push button temp control if you need it. The recent renovation is perfect. As a family of 3 adult couples this us our favourite getaway plus only 100km from Mt Waverley. Thank you guys.

The most amazing Airbnb! A little gem hidden in the hills overlooking the coastline. The accomodation was clean and had everything you need for a weekend stay or a week! Including a coffee machine. Would definitely recommend Joel and Calebs place.

This place is amazing! My grandparents come over from the uk and it was a great experience for them! The children we had with us loved running around the big garden and using the swing that was there. The location seems like there is nothing around but within 5-7kms there is a beach and pub! This is a lovely rustic house, very comfortable and well equipped. The view of the fields and sea to Kilcunda and Cape Woolamai is superb.

Lovely place set upon the hill overlooking the fields with the water in the background. So serine sitting out on the decking taking in the views. Loved the Apple orchard too.

Emma's house is fab! We loved being there, we were comfortable and made to feel very welcome. Emma responded quickly to my queries, provided lovely breakfast provisions, and generously offered tips for toddler-friendly beach spots in the area. The house had toys and games to play with, comfy chairs and couch, lovely decking to enjoy, and plenty of light and space. The general store is close by for supplies and yummy fish and chips. The house is clean, spacious and kid-friendly. A great spot for a relaxed beach holiday.

Our little family had such a great stay at Em and Brent's place. Clean, light-filled and chilled space in a perfect location to explore local wonders from (beaches, rock pools, Kongwak Market, Sounds of Summer Festival!). Yummy treats were much appreciated and we spent quite some time relaxing here crafting, playing games and kicking back too. We'd would definitely recommend staying here! 😀

Inverness is a great family holiday house. Great facilities, close to Wonthaggi and Phillip Island. Toys for the kids, and kitchen for self-catering. Emma thoughtfully provides breakfast supplies.

Priscilla has created such a lovely place to stay and has remembered all of the things that people need for a short stay. There was food on arrival and even a sweet sherry. I was there with two children 13 and 10 and they loved the barn like feel with high roof which gave the place a holiday feeling. It has a great view and is very close to all the area down the coast. We will definitely come back and congrats on your lovely place.

This is an older home that has been extended out the back with a new kitchen, living area and laundry and bathroom. It is modern and spacious and very clean. Centrally located in Wonthaggi so a great location. The mattress in the master bedroom was very comfortable. We highly recommend staying here. Thank you Pat.

Nice place, close to eveything.

Our 3 nights were magic, the location is fabulous and the house is clean, spacious & comfortable (just like the beds). I love to cook & the kitchen was well laid out & functional, I love that the kitchen/dining/living space is so open. Our dog enjoyed his holiday at the beach & we really appreciate being able to take him with us. We loved it so much we rebooked before we checked out. Thanks for having us.

Despite the cold weather, we enjoyed our stay. This lovely house was well-equipped, clean and spacious with everything we needed. It is also situated in a great location with blissful coastal views. Communication with Vicky was great and fast. We thoroughly loved our stay, and would recommend this place to anyone; especially to large groups.

This house was great, very spacious, big deck out back to sit and relax on, view across to the beach, easy walk to the Kilcunda General Store which is terrific for a coffee, breakfast or lunch, the pub is just next door to the store too and serves some great meals. Our host Vicky was very accommodating and always quick to respond to my emails or text messages. We will go back!

Excellent accommodation, very clean, comfy rooms and location was fabulous. The facilities within the house were great. Fire was terrific. Would definitely recommend for medium to large group.

We loved our stay here. The views were spectacular looking out over the ocean to the front and the hills to the back. Very relaxing and comfortable. Everything was spotless. Great location and a beautiful home. Much more modern than what the photos show. Upstairs area is perfect to watch the sunset every night either on the couches or on the balcony. It was a great find

Perfect house to stay. It is very clean with morden decoration and has everything you need. the sea view is stunning from the balcony. The host Vicky is really kind and nice. We really enjoy staying there and hope to come back again.

We enjoyed our stay at the super pod passive house. What a comfortable and unique space, which is kept exceptionally clean. We were very curious to visit and found the home nice and comfortable thanks to the ventilation system. It’s definitely worth exploring for our future home builds. Well worth a visit to check out life inside a passive house; in our case on a hot, wild and windy day. We felt completely separate from the elements inside.

Fiona’s place was very comfortable. There were cold nights and super warm day’s but the home remained comfortable the whole time. It was great to see such an innovative design and I hope to see more pod homes around. Location was central and was easy to drive to all the places we wanted to go.

This was our first time staying in a passive house so we didn’t know what to expect. Fiona’s place is clean and spacious (we didn’t expect the place to be big judging from one photo - so this was a pleasant surprise). It was a great base for our beach and fishing adventures within the area. Close drive to town where you will find shops and eating spots. Thanks for hosting us!

A unique experience to stay in a Passivehouse which we thoroughly enjoyed. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking (minus a large oven) but with a hot plate and a small oven you will be fine. Fiona was very helpful and we would recommend.

We had a short but wonderful stay in the Superpod. It was very comfortable on a cold, wintry night. It was spacious and sparkling clean. Thanks for sharing the experience of a passive house with us!

We had a great stay at Iain's house! Plenty of space and so much charm. The house was well stocked and we weren't left wanting for much more. Coffee machine was a nice plus. Also very close to town when we did venture out.

We booked it last minute, but it was wonderful, amazing decoration, beautiful garden and lots of fun. We had great time there and highly recommended.

This space will really surprise! There are hidden gems to be discovered in this art deco beauty. It's perfect for 2 couples on a getaway or a small group of friends. It has everything you need for a great fun stay including bbq, Google Chromecast, sound system, pool table, dart board, excellent oven and stovetop and many living zones to just chill out. Even though the space does not have air conditioning it stays quite cool and manages without it. To top it off there is even an outdoor firepit surrounded by a charming garden and seating. The location itself is beautiful with many quiet beaches away from the masses but just as beautiful. There is quite a bit to do in the area which really surprised as I had never been to the area. If you're someone who loves a place with a bit if character and your not stressed about everything being super modern I'd highly recommend this place . It's great value also for what you get. Hopefully I'll get a chance to stay here again another time in the future.

Charming spacious house and lush garden . Comfortable - everything you need and a billiardtable :) Even if there is no aircondition the house is cool. Good location for people who visit Phillips Island and Wilsons prom . Freindly host who answers prompt.

We loved our ocean stay at Mario's place. It's neat and clean and has everything you need. 100 metres from the sea and 300 metres to the General store and pub! Simple but cosy. Would definitely recommend.

Mario is a great host! He was friendly organised and super helpful! He gave us lots of excellent local information and tips to make our weekend at Kildunda a great one! The house is clean warm and cosy! It’s in the perfect location within an easy stroll to magnificent beaches the pub and general store! A great little find! We will be back

Very comfortable home. Sharon is very helpful. Local hotel has a great Brazilian chef who produces the best pub grub you can find. Only thing to remember is that the local general store really only sells milk so San Remo is the best place to go to pick up groceries.

We had the pleasure of staying at Rich and Amy's eco container home for a mini getaway over the weekend. Location is great, walking distance to the beach, local cafe (which served a delicious breakfast), and pub. The home was tastefully styled with everything inside it being eco friendly and mindful.
