I booked this Airbnb after my lack of planning left me hotel-less for a Labor Day weekend getaway in Lake Geneva. I have to admit, in the end I think my stay at Mark's place was more pleasant than any overpriced lakefront cottage could have been. Clean, comfortable and adorably decorated, it was everything we wanted and just a short jaunt from charming restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. Mark provided a list of great recommendations, was communicative, and even stocked the apartment with LaCroix and coffee. Plus, with a mere 35 minute drive to the heart of Lake Geneva we were still able to enjoy the beach town's hustle and bustle during the day and retreat to the cozy quiet apartment at night. Overall, an amazing stay and a great end to the summer.

My daughter and I stayed in this charming apartment for 3 nights when I brought her to Beloit to move into the college for the first year. The house is older and has been decorated in a cheery and colorful manner by the owners. Everything was clean and comfortable. Mark was very informative and helpful in his communications.

I was visiting Beloit to drop off my daughter at the college, and Mark's apartment was a perfect place to stay. Bigger than I had expected, very clean, in a nice neighborhood close to campus. In general, hotels in Beloit are rather expensive for the quality, so this apartment was a good value compared to them (I've stayed at 4 of them in the past). Mark was very clear about instructions and gave helpful information about the apartment and Beloit. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Beloit. It's about a mile from the college, so it's walkable although we drove since we were bringing lots of stuff.

Jaime was fantastic! So friendly and accommodating. She has a beautiful cottage-style home with dozens of beautiful and thoughtful touches. The beds were comfortable, and her snacks and tasty breakfast items to go were so appreciated!

We had a wonderful experience. Her room is incredibly decorated and I cannot think of a single complaint. Her well thought of snacks were delicious and the coffee maker was easy to use. We had a delightful stay and would definitely do it again next time.

This is the BEST Airbnb we have rented, private, very clean and well stocked with everything, comfortable and cozy, a perfect location on a main street that is easy to access but very quiet, it has a wonderful feel to it, and is very spacious and well laid out. Jaime is adorable and so lovely a human being, she's kind, thoughtful and unobtrusive, she is available most of the time and easy to get along with, but will leave you alone if you desire that too. I love staying at her place and have enjoyed two wonderful trips there.

Jaime's home was perfect for us. We had the two upstairs bedrooms with a bathroom in the middle. Both rooms were very cozy and we loved the little treats she had in different areas of the bedrooms. We had our privacy and were able to come and go as we pleased using the stairway. She left her door shut downstairs which was to the rest of the house downstairs which was good for us because we felt like we had our own space. Jaime never invaded our area and always provided suggestions of things we might be interested in seeing which was great! We went to this little mom&pop restaurant on one of the days which the food was really good and we also saw a Mill which was beautiful. It was such a great location for us and so quiet. Jaime was the perfect host!

Jaime was a great host and had a lovely home. The 2nd floor is entirely the guest's. Two rooms and a bathroom. One with the queen bed and the other with two twin beds. The room with the twin beds had a small snack / drink area. There was a mini fridge and a coffee maker with some mugs she provides. She gave us privacy, greeted us and sent us off. Her dog iza is a sweetheart. She also provided a folder of information for restaurants in the area and local shops. There was addresses and numbers for police and hospitals as well. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Margaret's house is a wonderful 100+ year old home that is wonderfully maintained. Margaret was excellent to work with and made our stay very enjoyable. If we are in the area again, we would definitely stay with Margaret again.

This was our second visit. We planned to have dinner with Margaret, but last minute changes and that did not work out, but Neli's restaurant, nearby, was a nice local flavor and good food. The pianos were out of tune, but still playable. I played for an hour or so while my wife and Margaret had a nice talk on the front porch. We enjoyed the sounds of the church bells from the Catholic church across the street. Margaret was a very nice host and we enjoyed our visits.

It is a nice and comfy place. The room was how it is in the picture and I had no problem with the bed since I slept extra well. Margaret was very friendly and accommodating. The place has WiFi if you need it. Overall it was good experience for me and I enjoyed my stay at Margaret's.

Laura is truly an amazing host! I loved staying in this cozy, and actually quite roomy apartment. There's a bedroom, kitchen, sitting room and bathroom. It's all cute and funky, and very comfortable! Laura took great care of me while I was there, checking in with me to make sure I had everything I needed, and even adding some items to the kitchen for me! I would love to stay here again some time!

Laura was a super attentive host and an all round wonderful person. She thought of everything. We got up every morning to freshly ground, French-pressed organic coffee. We loved the house and the location. The apartment was so comfortable - a wonderful oasis in the middle of a frantically busy soccer tournament. We were minutes away from our daughter's team hotel. We could retreat to our own delightful space and treat our daughter and her friends to a home-cooked meal and Netflicks. Heaven!!!

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at Tina and Curt's home. Some AirBnb can be pretty spartan. This is not. Tina and Curt have put a lot of effort into making their comfortable and well appointed. Essentially, it's a ranch house with 2 br and 1.5 baths. We stayed in June and really enjoyed using their screened in porch. It really opens up the house. They have also redone their garage and have a 3 season room, which we did not use. If you're a fisherman, it would be perfect, as there is a dock and you have access to a canoe. The sunsets on the porch are great with the western exposure. If you need to get to Beloit, it's about 10 minutes away from town.

We loved the peacefulness of the cottage. Starting with the warm welcome by the hosts to the array of wildlife we saw during our 3 night stay. We saw turtles, an Otter, a ferret, geese, mallards, storks, a bald eagle, and we heard the woodpecker but he wasn't cooperative so didn't get even a glimpse. My husband enjoyed fishing. We recommend Tina and Curt's place, they are wonderful hosts.

Tina and Curt were wonderful communicators, sending helpful info to us about the area, providing recommendations on grocery stores and cafes, and also, writing some welcoming words to us for when we arrived, complete with snacks and mentions of recent sightings of wildlife. We felt very supported the entire time were there. Information on aspects of the house was posted prominently and clearly, and they had really thought about what guests staying in a strange home would need to know. We have stayed in many airbnb rentals, but this was by far our best experience.

This place is the best - so peaceful.

Our family rented the cottage for our daughter's graduation from Beloit College. The cottage was great and had all the comforts of home. The outdoor space is fabulous with access to the river. Tina and Curt were great hosts and extremely responsive. We are looking forward to coming back the next time we are in Beloit.

You couldn't find a more enjoyable, relaxing, location overlooking the Rock river. Our favorite part of the day was sitting on the dock with a glass of wine watching the beautiful sun set. Tina and Curt welcomed us with a delicious apple pie and OJ and couldn't have been more helpful with information on sites to see and places to eat. The cottage was very clean and plenty of room for 4 adults. We highly recommend and would return in a heart beat.

We spent five nights at Tina & Curt's place while visiting family. We are a family with young children, and we definitely appreciated the space to spread out and the wonderful back yard for running and playing. The screened porch is fabulous for hanging out, and you absolutely cannot beat the sunset view. There is plenty of seating on the porch, around the fire pit, and on the dock for relaxing. The use of the canoe made for a fun adventure as well! The home is well appointed with everything you need for your stay. I knew there would be linens, but I was surprised to also find soap, toilet paper, paper towels, etc., which we usually have to bring with us to rentals. Something to note if you have little ones- there is no bathtub (only a shower) and no dishwasher. Not a big deal, but bring your bottle sterilizer or travel tub if you need it. Tina and Curt were great to work with. Super-fast response via email, and they even left a nice surprise for us at check in. I will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

This house was amazing! Far better even than I expected. I went with a group of guys for my brother's bachelor party and it was the perfect place for us. We went fishing, and Jared has a ton of activities/ games in the backyard. The BBQ set-up is unparalleled, and it was a ton of fun cooking up a ton of meat. The house is beautiful, the beds are comfortable, and it is very homey. This place was amazing! Finally, Jared was great to communicate with. He responded promptly when I contacted him, gave us a lot of information about the place and area, and is a super nice guy.

This is the second time staying at Jared place and we absolutely loved! Smoked ribs and hung out in his huge yard with plenty of things to do. Strongly recommend it!!

Great property for our guy's weekend. We spent most of the time out back hanging on the zipline, playing backyard games (bags, brought our own kanjam) and sitting around the fire pit on the brick patio cooking burgers and brats. Jared was responsive and professional, and the seven beds fit our group perfectly. Everyone mentioned how comfortable the beds were, as well, which was a definite added bonus given the size of the group.

We had a great and relaxing weekend here. We only used the simple BBQ grills but would have loved to have enough time to try the other equipment. The house is very appealing and we loved all the details and rustic feel. The TV is large and couches and beds are very comfy. One of the rooms (the one with the king and twin), you have to go through another room to get to it. It wasn't an issue for us but just wanted to mention in case there is someone who is looking for more privacy and doesn't want anyone walking through. The downtown area of Beloit has a very charming small-town feel, we really enjoyed it. There are some great places to get food too. Overall a great stay!

Jared was a wonderful host! He left a detailed description with everything about his place and grocery stores/restaurants in the area. I highly recommend checking this place out! If you love to smoke/grill food then this is the place for you!!!

Jared's place is amazing and everything worked like clockwork. We had a blast as a group of friends -- place was clean with lots of beds and everyone one could need. All the now equipment is incredible.

Happy customer! Not only was communication with Jared a great help but the house was beautiful and very clean. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen and living room felt like home. As if that wasn't enough the backyard and waters edge access blew us away. We enjoyed the fire pit and all roasted smores under the night sky. All in all a perfect vacation had by all, all expectations were met and then some! Already discussing a return visit in the future, thanks again Jared we had a blast.

The whole family had a great time at Jared's BBQ Ranch - swimming in the river, smoking a turkey, playing games out on the barbecue deck and just spending time together. The space is comfortable and cool! Everything was super clean and the linens lovely. The kitchen is GREAT. Jared took the time before we arrived and once we were there to make sure we knew where everything was and that we had access to everything we needed to make our multi-generational gathering of 8 a success.

As the host, Heidi is professional, courteous, very attentive to the guests yet conscious of their privacy. We left a laptop charger in the room on check-out. Heidi did everything she could to make sure we get the charger back without any hassle. She's really kind and helpful. My wife and I stayed at Heidi's place for 3 nights and 4 days and totally enjoyed our stay there. The location is scenic at backyard and quiet and safe neighborhood around. We've made a couple of suggestions of improvement to Heidi to make it even more comfortable and convenient to further guests. We are sure Heidi will accept our suggestions and make the improvements we've suggested. We highly recommend Heidi's place. You'll not regret if you chose Heidi's place for your stay in the Rockford and vicinity area.

We were lucky enough to find Tracy and Leif while looking on Airbnb for a place to host our wedding, and we couldn't have made a better choice. Hands down, these are the most kind and generous people you'll ever meet. During our 5 month planning process, we made several trips to the farm, and Tracy and Leif (and their son Eli) transformed their already very nice property into the gorgeous venue you'll see today. We stayed for 4 nights and hosted 125 people in what so many of our friends have called the most beautiful wedding ever. We could go on and on...but we'll stick to the informative stuff. What an amazing home! The property is absolutely stunning, with old silos and a bonfire, plenty of outdoor seating, magical spaces, and a new porch that runs the length of the house for outdoor dinners on warm summer nights. The farm house itself is comfortable and modern with so many beautiful touches, like the doors made from re-purposed barn wood, and the newly renovated kitchen. Everything is well organized, they have a great sound system and any other amenity you can imagine. Basically, if you have the opportunity to stay here, DO IT.

This was a beautiful home. My family and I really enjoyed the spacious back yard, the shed, the rooms, etc. It's a great place to have a small family gathering. I used their home to host a Luau Party for 20-25 and it was just enough space for us. Because of the weather we wasn't able to use the bonfire outdoor but they also have the option to use the wood stove inside the shed. My nieces fell in love with the swing set that's set-up outside of the home as well as the cat. They do have a house cat but he's very friendly. We really enjoyed ourselves and would love to come back for a future event. Thanks for your hospitality it was amazing.

This was a great place to stay! A wonderful location in the country but a short drive to the town of Rockton with plenty of places to go. A nice big place with plenty of room for up to 12 to sleep. The large yard and the use of their canoes & kayak was a real treat too!

Our family had a great experience at Leif and Tracy's home. Their home comfortably accommodated our group of 10. The farm provided lots of entertainment for the kids, freedom to explore, and an easy pace for the parents. Location was perfect...quiet, but still close to stores and downtown. Our favorite parts were the bonfire pit and Boots the cat, best cat ever!

The pictures do not do this place justice. The house is adorable and decorated beautifully, with a large kitchen and plenty of cooking supplies. There are several seating areas, with a huge wood table inside, and a huge wood table outside on the porch. The barn is absolutely stunning, especially when lit up. I would definitely come here again. It was the perfect place to host my 30th birthday, and an absolute bargain for the price.

It is such a lovely place which is so close to nature. We did enjoy the stay, our talk with Mari and Ken, and yummy breakfast. The room is clean and comfy, with lovely decorations. We spend half hour flipping through the books on the shelf. It is a nice collection.

This was my second time visiting Bird Haven, and was equally as wonderful as the first time. I visited so that I could have some focused time to write while my husband went over to Blackhawk Farms just about three miles away. Mari and Ken, what to say, they are just the sweetest people. We got in on a Friday evening and were warmly received. The next day, I had a glorious morning that included fresh eggs made by Ken followed by tea and invigorating conversation with Mari. Bird Haven makes for the perfect environment for reflection. What the hosts have created is not only a lovely guest home but a retreat that offers peace and inspiration. The view of the still pond, lovely flowers, variety of birds and the warm, timeless ambiance within the guest house all prepared me to listen a little closer, notice with more admiration and feel with heightened intention. If you’re a city girl like me who needs to quiet the mind from time to time, Bird Haven offers the meditative peace you’re seeking. Thank you Mari and Ken and hope to see you again in a few months.

Ken and Mari greeted us and showed us around. They have a beautiful home with a lot of carictor. The room was clean and we'll equipped with the exception of a television. Our only issue was with the bed. We are used to a queen size bed, but this one was much narrower and shorter.

Ken and Mari were very welcoming, and had some great suggestions for restaurants in the area. The room was quiet, very private and as described, with a shared bathroom. Ken made us a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs with veggies. We loved that we could have our dog with us. We appreciated their hospitality and recommend their home!

Ken and Mari are great hosts and made us feel welcome. The house is close to several parks and a great location for river rats who want to enjoy the Sugar and other streams in the area. Check out the new Japanese restaurant in Beloit!

Ken called me to coordinate arrival and provided great directions to their home as I was arriving after dark. Close to nature with an artistic touch, Ken and Mari have created a uniquely relaxing and comfortable space that will relax and reinvigorate you. Leave time for exploring their beautiful yard. I was able to get a good night's rest, the best of my trip.

Paula was incredibly responsive and her place was lovely. Very nice to eat breakfast outside on the patio! Would highly recommend to anyone that wants a nice, quiet place to sleep.

The home was very comfortable and spacious and our host provided coffee and even offered use of every day items from the kitchen. We took advantage for a welcomed bowl of Cheerios for our son! Paula offered us control of the thermostat, even. The location is within 10 or 15 minutes of everything we wanted to do around Rockford. We enjoyed staying very much and will try to do so again when we are back in the area.

Paula's place is beautiful and so cozy. I wish the weather was a bit warmer so I could have relaxed on that gorgeous back porch. You can feel the wonderful energy of her home when you first walk in. She really takes care of her guests, leaving snacks, breakfast, and suggestions on how to make your stay wonderful (a handful of forest preserves in the area were great for hiking/walking).

I can promise you that you will not be disappointed staying at Paula's place. All of the reviews are extremely accurate. Has to be one of the nicest Airbnb homes out there. At least it was for us. Paula was extremely helpful and her hospitality was unbelievable. She has an extremely beautiful home on a quiet cul-de-sac with beautiful surroundings. The Tempur-pedic bed was extremely comfortable. Paula is definitely a SUPER hostess.

Paula's place is clean and quiet. The check in is super easy and It is very to communicate. She even recommended a place for breakfast locally but we chose to have our own at her beautiful home with awesome view from her backyard. If we ever come back the area, will definitely stay with her again.

I've never met an individual as passionate about ensuring a guest's positive experience as Rodney. The lengths he goes to ensure that you enjoy your stay is incomparable. His attention to detail and personability are unmatched. You matter to Rodney, and the home that he opens up to you is breathtaking. The room itself feels like royalty, and the majestic-esque property practically begs for you to get lost in it. This may sound like hyperbole, experience it all for yourself and you'll understand.

The BEST Airbnb stay I've ever had. Amazing living space, amazing bedroom and amazing gardens. Rodney is a wonderful host who was very attentive and yet gave us space. The hot tub under the stars was perfect. Rodney made us coffee and an incredible quiche for breakfast. So good!!! I hope to return in the near future. I highly recommend this listing.

My girlfriend and I stayed with Rodney while we went to music festival at the airport nearby and I must say that Rodney was a fantastic host sharing his beautiful home with us. He really rolled out the "red carpet" for us from the very beginning, even offered us breakfast the day of our departure. Great neighborhood and scenery (lives next to horsefarm) and only minutes away from downtown Janesville and the airport. I only wish we could have spent more time there and experienced all of the amenities that Rodney's home had to offer. Would definitely stay with him again the next time I'm in the Janesville area. I don't know how anybody turns a funeral trip into a pleasant stay, but somehow Rod managed to do just that with his hospitality. I needed a place to stay in Janesville on short notice. Rod answered immediately and was flexible and accommodating about my arrival time. The space itself was clean and full of extra amenities I wouldn't have thought of myself, but ended up being really nice (access to music, movies/TV, a fireplace, a hot tub (!), coffee and tea, etc.). The back deck and garden area is peaceful and quiet-- I'd love to see it in spring or summer. Rod also went out of his way to share food from his catering business, leave notes to let me know what was what, and even made me a grilled cheese. Couldn't be more glad I decided to stay here instead of a hotel.

From beginning to end Rodney is a A+ host. He responds quickly to communication, is flexible and accommodating, and goes above and beyond to make you stay enjoyable. Great amenities and a beautiful home to relax in - or outside in the hot tub and garden. Would highly recommend to anyone!

I had the pleasure of renting the deck views for several weeks while traveling for work. Paula is very accommodating and the house is set up with coffee and snacks. The bed is so comfortable! The house is in a quite neighborhood and I felt very safe and relaxed there. I would highly recommend staying at any of Paula's listings here.

I stayed at Paula's place to see "The Toasters" play at Pig Minds Brewery which is an 8 minute drive/15 minute bicycle ride/50 minute walk from her home. I also gallivanted throughout Rock Cut Park on the mountain bike she loaned me (provided her helmet, lock and even a bottle of water) which was 6 miles from her house. She also has a beautiful path behind her house to enjoy another nature exploration, but unfortunately I ran out of time. Her place is impeccably clean, comfortable and quiet. I had my very own on-suite bathroom with toiletries provided. The fancy Tempur-Pedic bed had a remote and was like sleeping on a cloud. Her patio and outside space is just adorable and lush with plants, tall trees and even a fire pit for when the weather is cool. Paula is a kind, warm and gracious host. It was a privilege to stay at her home.

I had an extended stay for an internship, and I had a lovely stay. Kristin was a great host - she was so easy to get in touch with and was always so helpful. She went above and beyond when it came to hosting duties. The house was so nice - it had everything we needed and was very clean and cozy. It was also very close to work and the grocery stores were a short drive away. I definitely would stay here again.

Kristen was easy to work with and went out of her way to setup a Christmas tree for us and left us a greeting card. Nice personal touches. This was our first Air B&B experience.
