Good value for money, sky view from bed, by morning you can smell fresh bakery

Valerie's house is a perfect getaway for anyone, but especially a couple. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was very clean, well appointed with all the necessities as well as some extras, and exquisitely designed. Downstairs with fireplace was perfect for hours of relaxing. Breakfast in the morning was amazing with fresh milk from the cows next door. She is very welcoming and well versed in Dutch, English, and French. We look forward to going back for another visit!

Valerie is a warm and friendly person. She made us feel right at home in her spacious, well-decorated and comfortable home. She and her husband Marc were very helpful. We enjoyed an evening of chatting with them over coffee and tea on their terrace.

We spent a pleasant stay in the home of Valerie, a wood fire waiting for us (much appreciated by this time), the house is large, warm, rooms are large, tastefully decorated and excellent bedding !!!! The kitchen is functional and modern. Calm reigns in this little haven, neighbors (with hair or feathers) are nice ... especially donkeys !!! Parking (free !!) is available. Finally ... the breakfasts, varied and plentiful with local products (cheese, strawberries, sausages ...), all with a nice little music and hello to Valerie. Thank you for your discretion and kindness. The house is well located for visiting the Netherlands and Belgium and easy to find off the highway.

Lovely nice apartment to relax by the fire and enjoy the Belgian countryside. Valerie is very friendly, welcoming and makes delicious breakfast. For our second year a good place to get acquainted with the farm animals.

We had such wonderful days at Valeries over New Year's Eve. Valerie gave us a warm and charming welcome was always there when we needed her. She is a wonderful hostess. The apartment is really nice and cosy. More than enough space for us. Super comfy in front of the fireplace, a wonderful bathroom, a great kitchen with a good oven etc. Was a pleasure cooking in that kitchen. The rest of the farm is (especially for me as a townsman) really cool! Sheep, pigs, chicken, cats, dogs.. Saving pigs when they broke out.. Thanks for 3 cool days and greetings!

We had a super time at the farm. We were for the first time, a weekend with our 2 month old son and that this was an excellent place. Valerie had done put a cot and there was a changing mat available. Valerie does everything to make you feel welcome; some help with loading or unloading, solid turn on some music at breakfast (which is very extensive and tasty) .. The area around the farm is also very beautiful. Nice and quiet and lots of nice animals. All in all we had a top stay, thanks!

Nicole was very responsive! We made our request on Sunday at 22h for the next evening and received a response within the hour! Nicole was very welcoming, the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. We will definitely be back home if we still in the area.

We thought it was a nice and pleasant stay at Nicole! On arrival we had a cup of coffee, meanwhile we had a nice chat! We could use the fridge to put our food brought. Upstairs we had a large modern bedroom with a comfortable bed and spacious closet. There was a TV in the room that you could operate from your bed. We had a very large modern private bathroom with big beautiful shower and 2 sinks and toilet, everything was tastefully decorated and very clean !! Nicole was a very good host! There was also a nice garden with 2 terraces, 1 covered and a beautiful heated pool which can be used from May !! This air bnb we find a highly recommended, as we should be back in the area, we'll be back !!!

Perfecte locatie om te slapen. We kwamen langs op een fietstocht, vooral het ontbijt vonden wij heerlijk.

Alsof we op visite kwamen bij een oom en tante waar je graag over de vloer komt, zo voelden wij ons afgelopen weekend. Hartelijk ontvangst, zeer goed verzorgd verblijf, heerlijk ontbijt, fijne kamers, goede bedden en heerlijke tuin. Echt een aanrader om te verblijven als je op zoek bent naar een rustige en groene omgeving! Tevens een goede uitvalsbasis voor activiteiten in de omgeving. Boven alles is de gastvrijheid van de gastheer en gastvrouw geweldig. We mochten later ontbijten en hebben ook nog van de zon in de tuin genoten in de middag na onze overnachting. We glimlachen er allevier nog steeds van!

Ann was very welcoming and her hospitality is amazing. She had made the house cozy and warm at arrival by lighting the firestove. We requested a different arrival time, that was really no problem. The place has been Ann's house for her life, and it breathes a long time of enjoyful living, with so many tiny details. I could really not think of any real points of improvements on either the space or Ann's service. The house was very clean and tidy. It is spacious with the three bedrooms. There is a plenty of privacy and it's a perfect place to relax and chill out either indoors or outdoors. A few remarks of friends (we were with 4): "Relaxed huisje, hartelijke ontvangst, prima plek om een weekendje te ontspannen. Lekker in het bos, maar toch vlak bij dorp met supermarkten, restaurants, etc." "Oja, een prima pizzaoven " (we made our own pizzas from scratch in the wood stove - delicious!) I would wholeheartedly recommend this place. Ann is a great host who showed us around quite nicely, gave us a complete tour and let us be for our stay. It feels like a privilege to be in her house. Dear Ann, On arrival you have already let us feel right at home .. What a warm welcome! Even our dog was given to Bulek. The cottage was lovely! So romantic with the heater, all the beautiful furniture and a mega large garden and woods for our dog Bulek which was lovely run around. It just knocked all, like it just came out of a fairy tale. You can feel the love in the house, which makes it even more enjoyable stay. We have really enjoyed it and are totally in love! We feel honored that we were able to stay in your house, thank you very much.

The cottage turned out to exceed our expectations. Everything was summed up in one word: fantastic. The hospitality of dear hostess Ann, the garden, the house, the quiet, the woods, everything. Not only do we have a wonderful week, especially our dog Dana has enjoyed great. Lovely run around in the fenced garden, walking through the woods, between a beauty sleep before the fireplace and of course enjoy the yummy cookies they had received from Ann. The cottage itself is lovely to stay in. Everything is so snug and cozy decorated. Every time you look around you is something new on. Delicious all those trinkets. We will definitely come back again!

This is 'my' house in Belgium. I've traveled across half the world with Airbnb. Luxury penthouses shared rooms. Never have I so enjoyed and I been so impressed with a stay and the owner as of this cottage and Ann. Airbnb slowly begins to flow full of companies that offer their properties. The soul of Airbnb's m However, people like Ann, their personal stories and history at the property you are renting. A freshly baked cakes, beers, candies and goodies for the hond..Ann spent so much personal attention to its guests. I am afraid that Ann will soon sit booked once the 5-star reviews are starting to pile up, but if it fails to find a hole I'll definitely be back here often.

Ann's cottage was even better than how it is described, nicely fitted out as a complete home and most importantly of all very quiet! We were looking for a place where we could recharge and enjoy sleeping in and reading all those books that we had on our wishlist. We succeeded in this and if you are a foodie go to restaurant Dessensi in 's-Gravenweezel, it received a Michelin-star a few months ago, but it remained down to earth and the food and service is absolutely amazing! There are bikes that you can use to bike to the local Trappist abbey of Westmalle or take the bus to the centre of Antwerp, 500 meters from the cottage.

Dear Ann, We enjoyed a very special weekend in jouw- back-in-time house! The details were infinitely beautiful: reading lights for a good book, bread baskets, wood, BBQ set, ... The luxury was grandiose: seltzer-making machine, walk-in shower with two shower types of options, the best mattress in the world, a shelter to sit outside with a rain shower, ... And all topped with great simplicity of life: silence, slowness and joyful friendship moments. Unfortunately we were too polite and we are not going to delve into the cabinets. Therefore we only discovered just before leaving the games cupboard. The kids were so excited! Next time we know this closet! Thanks for the delicious cake and all your love for this house. She radiates over to us!

Whangamata September 3 Our stay for almost a month in Westmalle was everything we could wish for , Inge is a fine host and loves people to stay at her place and feel at home. Nice and spacious room in a beautiful villa with swimming pool . Excellent breakfast and very friendly host. Great hiking and biking in the immediate surroundings.

We had a wonderful week in Oljana's house. It is very spacious with a nice pool (which we unfortunately did not have much use because of the weather). There is a large sitting room from where you are on the large terrace (with awning!) Comes, where guests are seated, facing the beautiful garden full of flowers. The neighborhood is very quiet with beautiful houses. 500m away there is a cute restaurant where you can eat good steak. Antwerp is a half hour drive. In short: a great week in Schilde. Thanks for the hospitality, Oljana!

The house is spacious and comfortable. The garden is huge and beautiful with enough garden furniture to relax. The pool is also great. We stayed in this house with two families and had a wonderful time. Oljana is a very nice host, she was quick to respond and flexible. Would really recommend this house!

Our family, my parents and our three children had our first stay with Airbnb in this lovely villa in Schilde. The place is spacious and provides everything you need including wifi, very well equipped kitchen, nice terrace and grill for bbq, and swimming pool. All our children loved the house with lots of toys and the garden where to play. The house was also safe for a one-year-old to crawl around. A car is need when staying here, since the nearest bus stop was 2,4 kilometres away. The arriving and departure procedure was really flexible. Due to the fact that we were new to staying in people’s houses, we might have needed a personal introduction into the house. Anyway there was a welcoming letter and booklet of information in the house and we managed to sort everything out. I can recommend this beautiful villa to everyone planning to explore Belgium by car, and especially to families with children!

Dear Valerie , we were back home getting used to the life routine. We all want to thank you very much for the great hospitality in your farmhouse. We all enjoyed it very much. The super equipped accommodations, the beautiful view and on top of it - your generosity and your willing to help us with every single thing, made our staying in your house unforgettable. Thank you very much!

To make a long story short, our only regret is that we only spent one night in Valerie's flat! She made us feel very welcome from the first e-mail until the time we left. The place itself is great; it's very spacious and done in a modern way just on top of the barn where the sheeps and donkeys are (the tiny little lambs were adorable!). Valerie also gave us fresh milk and eggs from the farm which made our breakfast delicious! I would highly recommend this place and hope to visit it again.

We stayed at De Spennephoeve for 9 days while visiting family in Belgium and had a brilliant time. The flat has lots of room and was very comfortable for us - 2 adults, 3 children. The kitchen had plenty to work with (and when we discovered we were missing a ladle, Valerie provided her own and bought us one the following day!). I drank my morning coffee watching the animals from our window. Fun! The kids were totally in love with the farm. They played on the see-saw and go carts, and visited the sheep, donkeys, pigs, chickens, dogs, ponies, goose, and especially loved the cats. We were provided FRESH eggs and even some milk from the neighboring farm. Valerie had books and toys in the flat, and even brought us extra on a rainy day, and then chalk when the sun was out. While were were staying at De Sneppelhoeve, friends came and stayed in the B&B flat that they also have. It was a great way to vacation with another family where the kids could safely play outside together and the adults could socialize in the day and evening (the baby monitor reached between the flats!). It is also well situated. We ventured out the Antwerp, Turnhout and the Keukenhof - all an easy day trip. I can't say enough about Valerie, her husband Mark or De Sneppelhoeve - our time there was really quite special. We hope to be back next year!

Valerie was a very, very nice & welcoming host. She kept me informed so well. Our employees told me that the place was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. I can defiantly recommend Valerie and the chalet.

A stay of 2 nights with our 3 children again quickly. From the welcome at the apartment until the cleanliness, everything was spotless. The apartment is exactly like the pictures and very well equipped. The calm of the place related to the lives of farm animals, we has disoriented these 2 days. Cow's milk, fresh eggs and muffins offered by Valèrie were very appreciate. Valerie has put everything at our disposal to make our stay perfect. (Even cot, high chair and children's game). I recommend this trip to this farm to the delight of the children too.

We hebben het heel fijn gehad hier met zn viertjes. Valerie heeft een prachtig plekje gemaakt boven de ezelsstal. Ruim met een mooi uitzicht over de weilanden. De kinderen zaten vaak voor het grote raam naar buiten te kijken naar de dieren. Je bent zo in Antwerpen, maar er is ook veel natuur/bos in de omgeving. Gastvrije ontvangst, geen gedoe, over na gedacht en gewoon goed.

Monique and Louis are really nice hosts! It is a good place to stay. We had a warm welcoming, received helpful information to discover the area and started the day with a nice breakfast. We stayed @ Monique and Louis to visit the antilliaanse feesten. It is a short drive of about 20 minutes to get to the festival.

After a day of cycling under a hot sun we were welcomed here blessed with a range of refreshing beverages. Our bikes and the trailer could be secured. The reception was very pleasant: nice chat and all available for our 11 month old son. High chair, baby bed, toys and pleasant attention. Our son could also use refreshment and we could splash pool that we brought in immediately in the pretty garden. The use of the rubber ducks were in the room rate :-). The room / suite was perfect: nice that we could read in the separate sitting still while our son was already in the bedroom. The bathroom was perfect: again everything there what you need: fluffy towels, bathrobe, ... even a new toothbrush and shaving kit if needed! And the breakfast: just more than perfect. Very tasty yogurt with blueberries, strawberries and - equally gambling here- we suspect a thin layer of brown sugar. Rolls, very tasty jams, excessive siege. In summary: very hospitable and everything is being done to make the guests to their liking. The B & B is indeed a busy road but, in the garden, you do not notice much. In addition, the road leading of August (2015) completely redone with new underlay what the noise will also destroy. More than fine stay! And certainly (but not only then) if you are traveling with a baby.

warm welcome from Monique and Louis. easy exchange because our hosts spoke French in addition to English, German and their local language. Huge breakfast, varied, with local produce and homemade jams. good quality bedding, room decor a bit retro obsolete.

Louis and Monique find a surprising number of guests coming through their quiet corner of Belgium, often transiting from one place to another. This is how we found ourselves there, cycling through the area to tee ourselves up for an easier ride to Eindhoven, Holland. Bit of a random stop, so we were especially pleased to find such a kind and generous couple, with their beautiful cat, Basil. If only we had known Louis was a beer aficionado, or we could have spent many happy hours, beer in hand, discussing politics and economics with this thoughtful and knowledgeable man. Hearty conversation, however, took place over the dinner Monique kindly prepared for us when we inquired about local Italian restaurants. With none in the area, she volunteered to make us the pasta dinner we were craving, with yummy side salad and more of the apple tart she had provided for us upon our arrival, for dessert. It was absolutely delicious - perfect, frankly, with a vegetarian option for my traveling companion (Monique discreetly asked for a small adjustment to our bill the next morning, which we happily paid). The large upstairs room where we stayed is comfortable with queen bed and queen futon, and a corner dedicated to all you need to make tea or coffee. The bathroom is warm and clean, and you very much feel you are staying as a guest in a friend's home. But the real feature of the house are the hosts, who could not have been more friendly and accommodating. When a late night transaction involved an email, printing, signing, and scanning to a reply email, Louis, who was just closing up his home office, cheerfully turned everything on again and oversaw the whole business in minutes on his computer. Though this happened relatively soon after we retired, he seems the kind of man who would have handled the whole thing just as kindly at a more awkward hour. Bring a hearty appetite to breakfast! It includes everything, from pastries from a local bakery, which Louis brings fresh in the morning, to fruit and delicious creamy yoghurt, meats, cheeses, salmon, Belgian pistolettes, Monique's homemade Dandelion jam(!), and even beautiful bars of Belgian chocolate. She offered eggs, but the meal was so generous already, we could not have more. They both provided much help and advice regarding our route to Eindhoven, and their local knowledge was invaluable. It would be well worth returning to this quiet corner of Belgium, just to have that beer with Louis, and enjoy Monique's pleasant company and fabulous cooking again! Thank you, both, for a lovely stay!

Ample parking at the door, bicycles can be stored in a shed achteraan.Wij had a room on the south side and were affected by the passing cars at night Tip: take the garden room at the back. Bedroom is old-fashioned but clean, bathroom is very clean and everything is provided shaving pasta to toothpaste and toothbrush. The owners are open to all your questions and we have our ROYAL breakfast outdoors can enjoy the garden, we come back already. There is also a bicycle charging point.

We were exploring Belgium and decided to stay over at the Stenten's for a night. They are a warm couple and we were guided to the accommodation which is essentially a huge house with large rooms. All arrangements were spot on and planned to the smallest detail. Morning time consisted of a large breakfast spread followed by a chat with the hosts. Brecht is a nice little town far fetched from the chaos that a metropolis normally offers (close to Antwerp) but still accessible by car and other modes of transport. Next time around we plan to spend more time exploring the region in and around Brecht.

Second time I have stayed with Caroline. As great as the first time around!

Caroline was a great host. She was easy to speak to on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and replied to our messages within minutes. Her house is lovely and clean and very well decorated, everything is at your disposal to cook dinner and breakfast. Local shops within walking distance of the property and a nice neighbourhood to walk around for some fresh air. We would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a nice quiet place to go to and especially if you have a car.

We were received very hospitable by the landlord. Everything was fine for one another. Great room, Wi-Fi, good beds and a good breakfast in the veranda. Certainly the most worthy to go on a visit to Antwerp, or if you want to make a transit.

Isabelle and her daughters couldn't be better hosts. My boyfriend and I were in Belgium for the summer and had been staying in hotels, so it was such a relief to be in a real home. It was the perfect mix of welcoming but with all the privacy you need. The room itself is as nice as any hotel you could stay in. Expertly decorated and quiet with a beautiful view of the garden. I recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet place just outside the city. Fair price and wonderful hosts! We have no complaints!

I was greeted and shown the room and grounds which are nicer than the descriptions. This place is like staying in a stylish country house with beautiful, tranquil gardens. Inside it's modern and artistic. Only about 20 minutes from Antwerp. A great way to enjoy peace while not being too far from the action of the city. I highly suggest this for singles and couples traveling with an auto.
