Shawndra & Gary's space was so nice to call home for a short but sweet stay in Asheville for the two of us and our retriever! We arrived on a cold night - the house was warm and inviting and squeaky clean. There were sweet little post-it's around to help locate the important stuff and even frosty mugs and hops in freezer to infuse your beer with a kick, how thoughtful! The binder of recommendations was wonderful and Shawndra was only a quick text away to answer any of our questions. If only we had more time to explore their vibrant city but very much looking forward to another visit in the spring and hope to be staying here (:

Great getaway locale. Very cozy and comfortable. Places we visited nearby: Rockys chicken, Tasty beverage, Biscuit Head, and Biltmore. More things to do than time. We'll certainly return to Shawndra's hideaway.

Had an awesome stay in Asheville. Shawndra is really good about answering questions and getting back to you right away. The house was perfect for three people to comfortably sleep and relax after a busy day of eating, drinking, shopping, site-seeing and more drinking!

The house was very clean and comfortable. The bed was large and we slept well, it was nice having cable and internet at the place when we came home and wanted to relax. The location was convenient, right down the street from trendy West Asheville, home to several breweries and great restaurants. We left our lights on in the car and Shawndra was very receptive, she sent her husband to give us a jump (thanks again!) and get us on our way. Would definitely stay again.

Shawndra's covered porch was a great, cozy place to stay while in Asheville. Plenty of nice amenities and helpful hints about places to see or eat. Very convenient to downtown Asheville. It being pet friendly was a big extra and our kitty loved being there.

This place was perfect for the three of us. The place was close to downtown and a short ride to the Biltmore Estate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated Shawndra's suggestions for things to do in the area as well as places to eat. There were also plenty of brochures to inform of us of what else was available in the area and made it easier to decide what we wanted to do. I highly recommend staying here.

House was in a great spot. Was an 8 dollar Uber ride to downtown and right next to main drag. Even a bowling alley right across the street. Everything in the house was nice, cozy and everything worked perfectly. Great first Airbnb experience

This tiny house was a wonderful getaway for the weekend. My girlfriend and I spent a good bit of time in the home and were very cozy throughout the entire stay. Rhodes was an extremely accommodating host and replied quickly to any questions we had. Her description of the tiny house was very accurate. The sleeping space is indeed tight, although we didn't have much of an issue since we sleep close. She offered advice on places to eat which we were thankful we took her up on. We would be happy to stay here again if we decide to do another weekend trip to the area. The fresh eggs from her chickens and personalized tiny gift were added bonuses that she didn't have to take the time out of her day for, but were both greatly appreciated. A great place to stay for an exceptional tiny house experience!

Rhodes was one of the most communicative hosts in the best of ways. We found the tiny home and were thrilled exploring it! The images were perfect, and the tiny notes with full instructions and puzzle books to spend time on a quieter plane were truly fun. We had wifi access and the bathroom was completely approachable. It is in the country so at summer, there are some insects here and there. However, Rhodes is having screens made for all the windows to avoid this problem completely! It is incredibly well insulated and imagine winter would be incredibly cozy. We visited during a crazy heat wave, and it was toasty, but as soon as all the windows have screens to allow for the cross breeze, I think this is a great option for those wanting to try the tiny home life for a time. It is so smartly made, you cannot help but admire it.

If you're looking for views, privacy, and all the stars, but with all the class of city life this is the place for you. It was definitely a little different for us, but we did not regret it one bit. It was GORGEOUS and perfect for a romantic get away to the mountains. AND it is dog friendly...couldn't have been happier with our decision to stay here. We loved it so much we added and extra day to the trip and Barbara made everything easy as can be. HIGHLY recommend this home.

Quiet, peaceful, mountain setting with the most amazing views. Only 25 - 30 minutes to Asheville. We loved our stay and hope to return!

As other posts have mentioned, the pictures do not do this home justice. It was a perfect home for a weekend getaway. Close enough to Asheville to visit when you please and still have the seclusion that a mountain home should offer. A perfect spot and we will visit again.

Hard to describe the incredible mountain view and the way this property is designed to take advantage of it. Every morning we had front row seats to one incredible sunrise after another. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Barbara was responsive and very helpful. You cannot go wrong with this property if you are wanting to spend some time in the mountains of Western NC.

Words absolutely do not do justice to how incredibly beautiful this home is and how stunning the views are! Barbara was the absolute perfect host - readily available and responsive and so considerate of our needs. The home is brand new, remarkably designed, fabulously furnished, and has all the amenities that led us to thoroughly enjoy every single moment. We hardly made it into town, wanted to spend as much time as possible in this phenomenal setting! I highly recommend a trip whether for a few days or a few weeks, to get away, focus on yourself or a special project (it will inspire your mental creativity!), enjoy time with a loved one, or just for much needed R&R. Just be prepared for one of the most memorable moments of your life here!

Amanda's place was great! The neighborhood was quiet and great for a walk/ run around. The guest house feels very private. It's a short Uber ride to downtown- about 9$. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Amanda was awesome! The place was so clean, bed comfy, and everything looked brand new! The privacy was great, I never saw her the whole week we were there, yet, she was always there to help with any questions we had about the bus or extra trashbags. My favorite features were the big bath tub which was great for bubble baths, the record player, a fridge to keep the beer cold and the general cleanliness and newness of the place. We think it was better than staying in a hotel.

This is a lovely place for a couple to stay. It was quiet and private and cool and breezy. It felt like living in a tree house! It was easy to get to but away from the bustle of the busy tourist areas. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Lea's place was great. Quiet and cozy. Perfect for a weekend getaway and having the pinball machines was amazing! We booked 2 hours before check in and everything went very smoothly.

Everything was perfect! Just as described, pinball machines were fun, they have the coolest cat we've ever met, so friendly :) Great location to downtown Asheville, plenty of great places to eat and not far from plenty of great hikes as well. We had a great stay at Lea's.

Lea's Pinball Sanctuary was ideal for what I wanted in Asheville. It was close enough to get downtown quickly but far enough removed to devote myself to staying put and knocking out work. The bed is comfy. Check-in and out is seamless. The pinball is a fun touch! I would recommend to all and stay at Lea's again myself.

The listing did an incredible job describing exactly what we were paying for. Lea is amazing and was so welcoming upon our arrival. The bed was made beautifully, she gave us coffee grounds for the morning, granola bars, and of course showed us how to work the pinball machines! The house is up a hill and it's so beautiful up there. The chickens and the rooster were so fun to watch in the morning while drinking our coffee! Mr. Roo is hilarious. It really was an amazing stay and I would definitely return! She even gave my friend eggs to take back home with her! Thanks, Lea!

Easy check in and very comfortable bed.

Lea's place is fantastic. She is such a sweet host who went above and beyond to make the experience a success. The location feels mountain living but is a mere ten minutes from downtown. The animals made it feel like home and the PINBALL was the cherry on top. I've already recommended her place to so many folks. KUDOS LEA!

Lea was super nice and was already waiting for us when we arrived. The airbnb is super cute and fun. The pinballs were fun to play, Lea had them all turned on for us when we got there. The bedroom and bathroom area are all super clean. The bed is super comfortable. She has some adorable and friendly pets on the property! Like Lea mentioned in the listing, the driveway can be overwhelming, but our little 2wd accord made it up and down without a problem (even after rain).

West Asheville Underground was exactly what I needed for my stay in Asheville! The apartment is even better than what you see in the pictures- definitely recommend it!

My husband and I spend a weekend in Asheville and found Sandusky's place convenient and within our budget! Everything was clean, tidy and easy to find. The apartment is in a great location for access to many activities.

There has clearly been a lot of thought put into what people will want and need when staying away from home. Many little details that we wouldn't have thought of, but would have missed made this a great stay. Things like nightlights (helpful in an unfamiliar place), a fan in the bedroom, and white noise generators were very considerate extra touches. The place was just as pictured and very comfortable for the two of us.

Anne has an excellent private space in west Asheville which is perfect for any visitor. It is within a 10-15 minute drive to any of the attractions Asheville has to offer. The place is exactly as described and super clean! We very much enjoyed our stay!

I stayed at Anne's wonderful space in Asheville for a long weekend and it could not have been more perfect. The rooms are clean and homey, with separate space to relax and watch a movie and a lovely bedroom with plenty of space for you bags and personal items. Nice size full bathroom with hooks for your cloths and towels. Anne has thought of all the little details down to a nice little coffee maker, and mini fridge. I would absolutely recommend staying in these private rooms and would love a return trip in the future.

Anne was a welcoming and gracious host, who clearly put a lot of thought into making our stay as enjoyable and satisfying as possible. The bed was super comfortable with nice sheets and blankets, and the bathroom was nicely suited and very clean. There was a huge living room with large TV, couch, fireplace, and refrigerator as well! The private entrance was nice, as we often found ourselves coming home late after exploring the city all day, and could therefore come and go w/o disturbing our hosts. Speaking of hosts, spending a few minutes discussing local restaurants, breweries, and other attractions with Anne and her husband before venturing out is well worth your while and you are sure to go to some great spots! The house is in a great neighborhood, and we hope to stay at this airbnb again the next time we are in Asheville!

Perfect weekend spot for 2 couples - one of them stayed on the air mattress in the living room. They said worked well for the adjusted cost (we let them pay less since they didn't get their own room). Definitely a nice and cozy spot for friends that know each other well and don't mind knocking on the living room door in the morning! Really quite pleasant. Spent an evening in, spent an evening out. Great stay! Carolyn's communication was clear and we had no issues with a late arrival. The camper was clean and larger than we expected. The bed was very comfortable and Carolyn even left a heated blanket for us. Nice and peaceful location outside of town. Downtown Asheville is a short drive or about $20 uber.. not bad considering the rates hotels charge this time of year. The heat did stop working the second night we were there, but it didn't impact our sleep. The morning was very chilly so instead of leaving our stuff and doing a later check out, we decided to pack up and head out for the day. Carolyn was able to recommend a great hike that we didn't come across in our own research and enjoyed very much. Overall great stay... perfect and affordable way to see beautiful Asheville!

My wife, her mother and I had a wonderful stay at Carolyn's camper. The place is conveniently located close to Asheville, yet it is very secluded and quite with beautiful mountain views. We were able to enjoy both swimming pool and hot tub after long day of hiking in the mountains. We did have an issue with my wife's mother allergies to odor/scent presence in the camper. Dave (Caroly's husband) has immediately solved the problem by providing a separate newer camper for her to stay at for both nights. Thank you Dave and Carolyn for going an extra mile and providing special accommodations to make our stay truly exceptional.

We visit asheville frequently. This was our first time in candler. It was beautiful and restfull. The queen bed in the "master" was very comfortable and i consider myself to be a mattress snob. My three adult sons slept in the bunkies with no problem. The deck had a canopy that allowed us to sit outside in the rain with perfect comfort. The fridge and the tv were big enough to enjoy a Saturday football marathon. No matter where we traveled to in asheville it was only a 20 to 30 min drive. There is a grocery store minutes away. The directions carolyn provided were easy to follow. There was plenty of level parking on site. Carolyn and her husband were perfect hosts. We would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay in Carolyn's camper! It was a perfect quiet retreat. Carolyn and her husband were very welcoming to both of us and our dogs, and gave us some great hiking recommendations! We enjoyed being only 15 min from downtown Asheville and loved coming home to the hot tub after hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to be back soon!

This place was more than perfect for what we needed! We came to see the Biltmore Estate and we brought our 2 year old with us. This was also our first time using Airbnb and we were not disappointed! The bed was great, the tv was nice, and there was a microwave, stove, refrigerator, and freezer. Everything we needed was there. My husband was disappointed that the wifi was slow, but that didn't bother me at all. After all we were in the mountains, trying to get away from it all! Loved this place and the hosts were so welcoming!!

Kathryn and her place were a total pleasure. The room is very homey and Katyhryn was extremely warm. Her lovely home (including garden!) is a quick drive to where you want to be in Asheville. We had a great stay at Kathryn's place. She is an easygoing hostess, and quickly made us feel at home. Gorgeous artwork, gorgeous garden! We liked the layout, especially the private entrance to our room, and the freedom to make use of the kitchen and communal areas of the house. Kathryn also has a very straightforward way of letting guests check in, which was great since we weren't quite sure when we would arrive.

I spent six very relaxed nights at Kathryn's and had a fabulous time exploring the tranquil, wooded neighbourhood, the great bars and cafes a short drive away in West Asheville, even more bars and cafes in Asheville and the wonderful mountains beyond.

Clean and great outdoor garden. You will be sharing a bathroom and there is no TV. You might want to bring more of your needs like extra wash cloth.

We had a great stay at Julie's! She was very helpful and provided a lot of great information about the house prior to our trip and checked in with us while we were there. It was clean and comfortable. For being outside of downtown Asheville it was still quite convenient and didn't take long to get anywhere. We drove and Uber'ed (~$10 to downtown). Would stay again and would recommend.

What a great place! The location is fabulous. It is only a 12-15 minute ride to downtown Asheville. Although some may like to be in the heart of the city, this home provides the best of both...short ride to the city and a great country location. The backyard is large, fun for children and comfortably private. The inside of the house was large, kid friendly, and provided all the amenities you could ask for.

This location is located just outside of Asheville and super convenient to the highway. It was just as pictured/described, Julie did a fantastic job communicating and answering all of my questions, and the backyard was a bonus. So nice to enjoy the spring weather in such a scenic setting.

Julie's home was a lovely place to stay in Asheville - it was close to downtown Asheville, an easy drive to Blue Ridge Parkway and all the mountains, very close to the Biltmore Estate and the WNC Farmer's Market. It was the perfect home base during our travels. The home was very clean and cozy, and it had an incredible backyard (i.e. vegetable garden, fire pit, trees everywhere, etc.). Communication with Julie and checkin/out was an extremely easy process - she was very responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again next time!

Stunning!!! Our cabin had an amazing view of the mountains. Sunrise was something you can not miss during your stay. To top it off- Barbara and Chris were lovely hosts. They made us feel very comfortable and we're an email/text away if we needed anything. We plan on coming back this summer. The house is in a perfect location where you feel secluded from the city yet just a relatively short drive if you decide you want to go have a nice dinner in Asheville. We were close to many hiking trails and scenic driving with The Blue Ridge Parkway so close by!!! I would reccomend this lovely cabin to anyone considering it. We can't wait to come back!!!

Barbara & Chris are the sweetest people for sharing this GEM in the mountains with all of us! You ride up a gorgeous mountain to find their amazing property! The loft is adorable & stocked with everything you may need. We were able to bring our 2 dogs with us even! There are great spots to explore near them including Blue Ridge Parkway, Mount Pisgah, Brevard & Downtown Asheville! We adventured in the mountains by day and explored downtown in the evening each day & had an adorable little spot on top of a mountain to come back to! I would recommend this to everyone for a nice getaway! We will be back soon!

This was a perfect spot to get away from everything while still being close to civilization. Waterfall hikes and scenic drives during the day and dining in Asheville at night. The accommodations were just big enough for the two of us with tons of privacy and very friendly hosts right next door. Would definitely stay here again!

Barbara and Chris's hospitality is simply unmatched and their place is picture perfect!!! My wife and I were actually their first guests and we came for our honeymoon after Hurricane Matthew forced us to quickly change our plans. And boy, are we glad we did!!! Their place is nestled atop the mountains in this beautiful new community that is truly off the beaten path and is the perfect mountain retreat. They met us and escorted us to their place, cooked us dinner the first night and even sat with us around the fire and had s'mores on our last night. Every detail of their place is perfect and is clearly a labor of love. They gave us fantastic recommendations on where to visit in Brevard and Asheville. Our stay simply could not have been better. The pictures don't do this place justice. You've got to see it, especially in the Fall!!!!

Exceptional! This was our first time using Airbnb and one of the best vacation experiences we've had. Our hosts Barbara and Chris were so hospitable and genuinely helpful, Barbara contacted us immediately after booking and provided us with great directions and communication throughout, they were very helpful with recommendations of places to visit, trails for hiking, and with directions around town. Once we arrived we were immediately greeted by our hosts and stunning mountain views. The loft apartment is perfect for couples, the sunrises and mountian scenery is breathtaking. The loft apartment is brand new and exceptional clean, and was stocked with all the essentials, which was great as we cooked most of meals during our 6 day stay. The locating is perfectly situated at the top of a quite mountian. It's very close to the blue ridge parkway which has tons of amazing trails and waterfall hikes and also only about 20-25 minutes to downtown Asheville. We were also thrilled that the loft was dog friendly as we take our little guy everywhere with us, he made himself right at home with his new friend bear. I could keep going on and on, I really have so many great things to say about our experience. You will not be disappointed, we are already planning our return. (FYI- in case you're not a dog lover, there is absolutely no trace of pet hair or residue, this place is immaculate) Thank you so much Barbara and Chris!

Such a wonderful retreat hidden in Asheville! Absolutely loved the warm atmosphere and comfortable setting. Would book again.

Celeste and Esiris were perfect hosts! We arrived on Valentine's Day, and they had a bottle of wine and chocolate dipped strawberries waiting for us. The guest house was clean and full of their art, which we enjoyed looking at. This family definitely pays attention to the details. They even sent us a text to make sure we got home safely because they knew we were driving home in a storm. Happy Haven is a great location ... it was only a 10 minute drive from Downtown, but the location felt cozy and private. We took Celeste and Esiris' advice on a number of restaurants, including Rosetta's, and were not disappointed. I'd definitely recommend friends visiting Asheville to stay here.

Esiris and Celeste have an amazing home that feels like home away from home. Despite being a couple minutes outside of the city, this cozy place feels like it's tucked far away in the mountains, allowing for a wonderful get-away.

Robert was a super welcoming host! The apartment was better than described, the pictures do not do it justice. Very clean! Towels provided, coffee, water, cream etc. Very comfortable bed, overall just a wonderful environment. Robert makes for a fantastic host. We had an absolutely stay, and would definitely stay here again. Very close in proximity to west asheville: westville pub, universal joint, the moth light, kings chicken & waffles, altamont brewing and so much more. Very safe neighborhood, safe parking at the house.

We had a nice stay at Robert's space. He was easy to communicate with and establish check-in time, etc. The space was as pictured: plenty of room for 2 adults. Clean and comfortable. Easy access to downtown Asheville and the BRP. I would definitely recommend. Thanks for hosting us, Robert!

Robert was an amazing host. He helped us with our bags, and showed us the space upon arrival. He gave us privacy but made sure to check in with us to ensure that we did not need anything. Robert also gave us some great dinner suggestions!

The neighborhood was very quiet, Robert had water and apples in the fridge for us in case we wanted any, and also checked in to make sure everything was going to our satisfaction. We would stay with him again!

Clean & Tidy! Not far from town and a comfortable stay

Kathleen and Rick were great hosts! We arrived on a late flight and were able to easily contact Kathleen and Rick. The location is great within 25 minutes of the airport and downtown Asheville. The room was very clean and we enjoyed our stay very much.

We really enjoyed our stay in this studio apartment. A lot of thought went into preparing for our visit including tea, coffee, water and nice entrance lighting. The apartment is nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. It is peaceful there and not a bad drive into Asheville. Kathleen, the hostess, is a lovely lady and very welcoming.

My stay was amazing. They went out of there way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I stayed for two months and they made sure everything was refilled. Very clean with plenty of beds. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place within 30 min to downtown with privacy. It's perfect for a short or long stay.

This was a wonderful stay in Asheville. Kae made us feel very welcoming and helped us with suggestions for our itinerary. The place was perfect, private, clean and well decorated. It was exactly what we hoped for.

Top of the Hill is a nice, cozy, and affordable place to stay! It is also very conveniently located between downtown Asheville and Blue Ridge Parkway for hiking trails. My friends and I were very impressed and comfortable with our stay here!

Matt's place was even nicer than it appears in the photos. The place is roomy, clean, and comfortable. Matt was very nice and welcoming. He has two gentle, older dogs who were always friendly and calm. I'll be staying here on future trips to the area. Matt's home is near the highway, yet at the same time quite secluded. It could be uncomfortable for those who not used to living in the country. I was visiting family in nearby Candler and Matt's home was only minutes away.

Matt's place was clean and quiet. Nice private entrance and and sweet welcome by Buddy and Max (pups). Nice comfy bed!

By far one of the best houses I've stayed at. The bed was amazing and the house quiet even though it's close to a road. Matt was a great host. He gave a great welcome and then space after I settled in. I will definitely be back when it's not raining cats and dogs to do more hiking.

Matt's place is very good, and he is a super host. If you have your own car, you can't go wrong staying at his place. It's a very quiet and private location, and you'll have a good night's sleep.

This was one of the best Air BnBs we've stayed in! The setting was quiet and peaceful yet convenient to downtown (by car). The room was nice, clean and spacious with quality bedding and ample room for our things. Mini fridge, microwave, tea kettle and coffee maker, dishes and cute little table for two make it very easy to enjoy a leisurely morning. We would definitely stay here again! Renee, our host, was also available when we needed her but gave us our privacy too.

We stayed at Renee's on our babymoon in Asheville, and could not have asked for a more positive experience. We truly felt at home. We had tons of privacy, but Renee was readily available if we had questions or needed suggestions.

Nice and quiet a great place.

Renee has a beautiful home and a wonderful spot for visitors. Her house is nestled within mature trees on a quiet street and is the perfect spot for those who love going into the city of Asheville, but want to retreat at night. Renee welcomed us with brownies and a little "how-to" guide for our stay. She included all the amenities of a hotel room, but with an "at-home" feel. We loved the quiet and peace of her house and neighborhood, and the easy access to main roads and highways made our visit to Asheville the best it could be!

A perfect stay in every respect! The room was exactly as described and pictured: very comfortable, nicely furnished, cozy and clean. The location is in a quiet residential area but conveniently located to get around the city. Renée is a welcoming hostess who obviously cares about her guests' comfort and is available for suggestions and assistance, but is not at all intrusive. I would certainly stay there again if my travels take me back to Asheville.

Renee was very friendly and responsive in all communications. The wooded location was peaceful and quiet. The completely private room was spotlessly clean with wonderful towels, linens, and amenities provided. Even homemade cookies and fantastic coffee! We look forward to staying with Renee again.

We have been recommending Renee's place to family and friends since arriving in Asheville. The listing was even BETTER than we were expecting. The space is in a residential neighborhood and is quiet, private and sunny. The room was spacious, clean and warm when we arrived, and there were brownies waiting for us! This is the perfect space for those that would like to live like a local and explore Asheville or those that want to spend their entire day in bed watching TV. Renee's is the first place we will check when we have an opportunity to visit Asheville again.
