Ohmygosh, this is the cutest place! My boyfriend wanted to go fishing for the weekend and he found Randy and Vickie’s place. It’s right on the creek. The bed is comfy and you have a shower and toilet. It’s great for a city girl like me who has never been camping, let alone glamping, which is totally what this place is. They have a paddle boat (which was fun!) and canoes (which we didn’t have time to try), and a fire pit (which my boyfriend cooked on). Inside, there’s a coffee pot, a microwave, cups, and a pan for cooking. You will need to bring your own utensils, knives, charcoal, etc. Randy and Vickie are the sweetest people! Very responsive to our needs! We stayed in a cabin that didn’t have it’s own water heater yet. Our cabin was not getting any hot water for a shower. Randy got it working again. Unfortunately, the hot water didn’t last long. But they’re getting a dedicated water heater for the cabin. I would definitely recommend coming here. We came on a weekend when no one else was here because there was a lot of rain during the week. But the weather was perfect while we were there! We plan on coming back this summer with some friends. And we’re excited about coming back! Thank you, Vickie and Randy! We had a great time!

Absolutely beautiful quiet relaxing cabin! The owners are absolutely wonderful we felt right at home. If your looking for a remote location to unwind from the hustle and bustle this is your place. The water is crystal clear and the fishing was amazing! Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Came out to the Hummer House Bed and Breakfast to have a relaxing weekend. The stay and property far exceeded my expectations. There was a lot of wonderful land to explore and to top it all off Cathy was very accommodating and hospitable. If you’re looking for a nice weekend away from the city on a beautiful property I highly recommend coming here.

This place was great! We have stayed at several places on the lake and this blows them all out of the water. Very clean and in a great place on the lake with easy access to the main toad and the boat ramps. We brought 2 boats and the fit perfectly at the dock. There was even enough space in the drive way for both trucks and trailers. For a rental, this dock is perfect to tie your boat up to with out worry. This lake has a lot of old docks that don’t fit newer boats very well. This one seems new and is easy to pull up to. We will be back!

This place was wonderful for our family to get away and spend much needed quality time. It is beautiful inside and out, it had everything we needed. It’s perfect for boating and fishing!! We will definitely be back!

The house has been recently updated and looks like almost everything is brand new. Grant was very quick to respond to any questions and the location on the water is perfect. Highly recommend!

House and outdoor area was immaculate. Dock was great for fishing, hanging out, and perfect if you brought a boat. Inside was roomy, it was me and 3 kids aged 10,7,5 and was much better than being stuck in a hotel room. Plenty of pillows, towels, all important things when out of town. Furnishings and appliances looked new and were very clean. I would highly recommend, and will be staying here next time I’m in San Angelo

Sylvia is truly a Superhost. When we asked about a fire pit for smores, she built one and added the wood and kindling! All we had to do was strike a match and start roasting marsh mellows. The 14 deer that marched by while we drank our morning coffee was an added bonus.

Sylvia is a great host! Great communication upon arrival! Unlike any place we've stayed before, she provided a stocked fridge with eggs, sausage, milk, orange juice, fresh fruit and pastries. What a fantastic surprise! The house was great for the two of us, who were in town for fishing. We won't hesitate to stay here, or at any of Sylvia's properties in the future!

Nice house, lake close by o house. Closed in French for my little dogs to run free. Close to town for Supplys. And if you fish you can do it there. We caught some nice size cat fish and bass. Very peaceful

This place is nice. The decor is lovely and it was very comfortable. It was easy access to the slip and rooms were comfortable.

Our family had a wonderful stay, our host was always responsive when needed and the place was very clean and had all the amenities we needed! Will definitely be back!

Mandy’s place is great! The house was beautiful the Texas theme is so cute and the lake was awesome. We love that there was enough space to cook and we had everything we needed! Even a washer and dryer, the house really felt like our own home. We will definitely be renting this place again❤️💙❤️

Nice place on the lake with plenty of room. It is close to the Airport but surprisingly we were not bothered by it, great place for a holiday with a boat.

Very clean, and such an amazing view of the lake. A really big deck in the backyard. And plenty of dog toys for puppies too.

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay here! We had so much fun and even named a couple geese we saw after we fed them! The home was clean, and stocked with everything you might need for a lake day! We left a few things in the fridge for future guests as well. Our weekend couldn’t of been better! We will definitely be back!

Great stay!

Very dated decor. There are only 2 beds. 3 couches fold out to beds. It would be very crowded trying to sleep 9 people here. It was great being in the lake.

This place is a very cozy place with a great view. We even got it an extra night. Fishing is great. We loved it. We would even love to buy it.

This was the PERFECT peaceful spot for my family To celebrate my graduation! It’s so relaxing and we made full use of the amenities from the well-supplied kitchen (including crockpots) to the outdoor grill and the fire pit while watching the sun set over the water. The beds were very comfortable and everyone slept well, but note that two of the twin beds are trundles and we didn’t use them. Also, the rooms are separated by curtains, which was fine for our purposes. Our dogs LOVED the yard and having their own private doggie door which was a nice touch. James was very helpful and communicated frequently to check in on us. I couldn’t have asked for a better place for my family to gather. We would love to stay here again in the future.

My family and I had a lovely time at this rental right on the lake. I didn't realize how beneficial it was to have an enclosed patio to enjoy coffee either inside or outside while enjoying the view. The only thing better than the location was the responsiveness and accommodating nature of the hosts. James's concern that we had a good time in his home was refreshing, which made him very approachable about a last minute request we had. The house was clean, well stocked, and charming. We also took advantage of the amenities provided by taking out the paddleboat for a morning stroll on the lake. The beds were comfy, and well placed for a group to enjoy each other's company. It's just a great place to take a break from the craziness of everyday life. I would highly recommend this place for your next getaway.

We had a great stay at James’ place. The house was cozy and had all we needed for 4 adults and 3 kids. The yard was superb! We loved hanging out back and enjoying the dock and the lake.

The perfect lake house! Updated decor with all the comforts of home. We had a fantastic weekend with friends and family on the lake. The house had everything we needed to prepare a Super Bowl dinner spread! James is extremely accommodating and replied to any questions I had at ANY time throughout the weekend. I would recommend this location to anyone and hope to be back soon.

This place has it all! Spectacular views, fenced in yard, close to shopping and it was very clean as well. We highly recommend this place, it had everything we needed and more. The host was very quick to respond any time we had a question and was very helpful about the area as well. I cannot think of a single thing that could make this place better, it is perfect!

If you’re looking for a nice place to stay while in the San Angelo area this is it. The host is very easy to communicate with and his house is very clean. I will be staying again the next time I am in the area.

We had a great night at Josh’s place. The bed was so comfy and the bathroom is spotless. I can access and watch my Netflix and Amazon Prime in the bedroom. This place is close to the mall and variety of restaurants nearby. I highly recommend Josh’s place if you are in the area.

Neighbourhood is awesome. House is super nice and clean.

Josh and his fiancée were friendly. They talked with me but were respectful when I was tired (I was in town for work) and needed to rest. They had lovely touches such as Kleenex, a private restroom, use of the kitchen, and offered me to use the laundry (including detergent). I hope to be able to stay with them again.

The cottage was more than we expected- right next to the river with a perfect wrap around porch- this is the perfect getaway to truly get relax. Sylvia was incredibly helpful and responsive to all of our inquiries. The amenities including juice, milk, cheese and meat and breakfast foods made the experience even more enjoyable. The views can’t be beat! Saw deer every morning grazing outside the cottage, as well as tons of amazing birds. We will certainly be back!

Oasis in West Texas! Great river retreat.

Great weekend getaway, especially if you are looking to spend time outdoors. The river is clean, and a great spot to hang out. Sylvia was a wonderful host. She provided breakfast food, coffee, snacks, and tubes for the river. There is a gas grill, and nice porch area. There is even a spot to fish. Easy drive back to town when needed.

This is one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had yet. The property is exactly as advertised. It’s a wonderful place to escape from the stresses of life and relax. Sylvia is a most gracious host and she is very knowledgeable about the area. Worth every penny and more.

Great cozy and clean place to stay. Friendly pets. One of her cats loved cuddling with us. Beautiful home and is close to restaurants, Walmart and HEB in case you need anything.

A warm beautiful home

Excellent stay at Vicki’s place. The room was very comfortable and elegantly furnished and Vicki made me feel very welcome, as did her lovely pets (especially Tom the cat who was super snuggly!). The house was warm and cosy, in contrast to the cold wet weather outside, and it was nice to be able to make myself a good coffee in the morning before I left. Great space, great hospitality and communication - don’t hesitate to book if you are reading this!

Anyone that stays at Vicky’s place will expect a friendly welcome and a very elegant place, she makes you fell right at home, i would highly recommend anyone to stay at this 5 ⭐️ home

Vicki's place is beautiful. I especially loved how accommodating she was in allowing me to use her kitchen. She even extended my check out time, knowing that I was sick. She's a very gracious host and I highly recommend her place. The location was great for me too, a short drive to stores, restaurants and the Tinseltown cinema.

Homey but great decor

Very remote ranch that lets you unwind and disconnect. The hosts are very nice and helpful. There are things to do on the ranch (photos of animals, walk to Indian Mounds, attend a church service with Carmelite Nuns, etc.) Also, you can go into Christoval to the winery or other area attractions, but this location is more about staying on the ranch and enjoying it for what it is - a working West Texas Ranch.

This is truly a wonderful place to disconnect from the world. It is quiet and peaceful and the hospitality and friendliness of Sandra and her family is above and beyond. It is remote and cell service is non-existent for many miles around, so do take that warning seriously. However, for me that was part of the charm. There were board games, cards, and a DVD player with movies. There were plentiful breakfast items provided and we even had breakfast for dinner one night. I highly recommend the Pfueffer Ranch for a perfect opportunity to disconnect and reconnect.

This is a beautiful place to stay if you truly want to enjoy living at Ranch. Place is big, comfortable and surrounded by nature. Just make sure that someone has turned on water and air-conditioning before you reach there. I will like to stay here again if opportunity will be there. Host is amazing.

Great place to disconnect.

Sandra was a great host! She checked on us to make sure we had found the place and we even had breakfast provisions in the fridge! The place was one of the cleanest rentals I've EVER been in. Directions were easy to follow and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The dirt roads were in good shape and we loved watching the livestock graze. Props to the host for sharing their slice of heaven with the public- this place is beautiful and so relaxing!

Just absolutely glorious, we loved it here. The house is spacious, comfortable, clean, and beautiful. Sandra and Ray were absolutely adorable, kind, friendly and helpful. We loved our stay there. The countryside is so beautiful and incredibly interesting, we saw so many creatures new to us and absolutely loved the Texan hospitality.

Highly recommend this incredible escape from reality, city life, electronics and busy routines.
