Overall a wonderful experience. The apartment Is very good, it’s new and the place is quiet for a good night sleep. Relaxing view from the balcony. The washing machine is a bonus. The host provided extra requests within a day and she responded quickly.

Dian's place made for a very comfy short stay in Jakarta. It's a very small studio apartment, but everything is comfy and nice finishing. You get a small kitchenette, a comfy bed, and a quiet environment in a nice building. The swimming pool and gym facilities are great. Although the building is a bit isolated in its own compound, but this adds to security and also it's a very short taxi ride from the Jakarta city center and plenty of malls, plus Halim airport is quite close. You can use the Go-jek App to order food anytime. When I stayed I was one of the first guests, so there were a few initial issues, but Dian and his staff did a great and timely job of resolving those. Currently the apartment lacks WiFi but I'm sure they will soon resolve this, and a portable modem was given to me upon request. Also the TV channels are not exactly suitable for Western tastes, but I think they will also be improving this in the future. So overall, I think Dian's place is a good value spot, and I'm sure I would stay there again on a future trip to Jakarta.

Just had a great weeklong stay at Dian's apartment in Jakarta. It's a clean modest studio but perfect for my needs. Nice location, newer buildings, nice helpful desk staff and security but not overbearing. Great location for my work - 20 mins walk to Menteng. Not far from Pasar Senen, Jl. Thamrin, Monas monument, National Gallery ... Indomaret corner market in the next building and ABM machines on site. Really enjoyed the gym (cardio/machines, no free weights unfortunately:) AND the pools and hot tubs - very clean and quiet most days!!! A bit of miscommunication upon check in but worked out... Dian's team met me showed me the apt - bought a towel and bottled water and soft drinks - thanks!!! Very thoughtful. The water filter unit was being repaired. But kitchenette and fridge, microwave, AC and shower with hot water -- all great. Will definitely stay again on my next trip to Jakarta. Terima kasih pak Dian! Sampai jumpa!

Dian place is small and good for 1-2 people, it has a great interior and what i like most is the bed, very comfy. It has a basic essential that u need like microwave oven, refrigerator,tv, refillable drinking water, washing machine and kitchen with complete utensils. He also provide toothbrush and toothpaste. The bathroom is very clean and well maintain. The only setback is no wifi and hope it will have one in future. Overall is a great stay at dian apartment and i will highly recommend anyone who wants a privacy and short stay while in jakarta.

Original experience for our first night in Indonesia. The hotel is located in the heart of the great city of Jakarta, but is located in a small alley difficult to find alone. We were greeted by a smiling and answering all our expectations. The dorms are perfectly adequate and the entire complex is well maintained and can accommodate a large number of travelers. A very pleasant stay, which encourages us to try the second complex in Bali :)

Outstanding value for money. The most important thing for me is cleanliness and a comfortable place to crash. The rooms are clean and pleasant. WiFi works great. Host and staff are friendly and easy to talk to. Hostel are the best place to meet new people and gather information.

It was a great (EMAIL HIDDEN)fortable... friendly... lively... and best part was i didn't had to look for any other place for my stay in bali... and it's a lot vibrant here... quite similar to my stay at BASE in Rotorua New Zealand...

*HIGHLY RECOMMENDED* If you find a hostel that is perfect or close-to-perfect in Jakarta, this is a place for you. It is a heart-warming place located at the convenient area of Cikini. It is about 10-minute walk to get to the train station. And with the motorcycle taxi that the hostel can call it for you, you could literally go anywhere in the downtown area within 20 minutes (without traffic) and can be up to one hour with traffic (which is more realistically Jakarta). All the amenities and images are as described. What is most impressive here is the hostel staff. They all are very attentive to your needs and helpful in whatever circumstances. This is the first hostel I stayed in Indonesia and I felt welcomed as if I were their family member. It is a hearth that makes you feel embraced in the alienating and busy capital city of Indonesia.

The room was great! comfortable sofa and bed, but some spots were a little bit dusty and there were not enough amenities like tissues. the lights in a few spots were also off so it was a little dark at night. It'll be better if there's wifi there, but it's still a great experience. LOVE THE POOL! IT WAS COOL! Thank you Mr.Saweri!

Awesome place, super tidy, perfect service! Never saw Bill in person but he and his assistant always checked that I had everything I needed! Place is spacious, free water and you can easy get a blue bird cab downstairs. Apartment was cleaned two times during my 7 week stay! Really all perfect, would def recommend staying there!

Great welcome and smooth check-in, not from Bill personally but contact with Bill throughout was fine, on-hand to answer any questions etc. Great apartment, clean, bright and equipped with everything needed. Very friendly staff, easy to get cabs directly outside. Opposite is an amazing restaurant, one of the best in Jakarta, literally right across the road, very convenient. I was in town for business and all in all it was a good stay!

My girlfriend and I wanted a homely retreat but still within the addictive bustle of Jakarta. After some searching we kept referring back to this listing - so we booked it! We were not disappointed at all! Of course, Jakarta is famed for its lengthy traffic and it took around an hours taxi ride to get to the flat. Upon arrival Darmawan and his friend greeted us warmly. They were quick to show us around the flat and the lovely facilities that the residency offered. They were exceptional polite, friendly and warm - providing us with contact details for any questions. He recommended a stunning restaurant which was conveniently opposite the apartments. It was by far the best place we ate during our 4 day stay (and we ate a lot)! A great bonus was the pool and gym, which had to ourselves on the occasions that we decided to relax. We are due back to Jakarta in October. Therefore the best compliment that we can give is that if our plans are to station JKT again we will without a shadow of a doubt stay here again - we hope it is I booked nearer the time!

Highly recommended!!! We have spent an amazing weekend in Jakarta, and Gigi's apartment was the best accommodation. Big, luxurious, very clean, pool on the rooftop... we didn't have any bad points about the place. Not to mention the extreme friendship and generosity of Gigi, we will definitely come back there!

My friends and I had such a great time staying in the apartment! and I really appreciate the host's care for us. In short, I would seek this place again if I come back to Jakarta. Here are few tips and facts: 1. The house is clean and luxury. bathroom is equipped with general supplies. Laundary and cleaning services are twice a week. 2. There is a CVS(SevenEleven) nearby(5 min walks). 3. I recommand having dinner in Lara Djonggrang(right in front of the apartment) and Bunga Rampai(15 min walks). 4. Must try rooftop pool. The view is great. Take towel with you. 5. If you move by taxi, using bluebird app could save you lot of time.

I love the apartment very private. Must warn it is not near to shopping centre as describe. Will require taxi or own car to move around. Security wise very good.

Edgine is so helpful and so nice. She replies to every concerns i had eventhough she's not in town on the day i was renting her place. And this is a nice apartment. I love the comfiness and also the rooftop pool. So quite and homey. The apt is located in the central area in Jakarta so it was easy to go anywhere and close to main shopping malls. If u happened to travel with numbers of family or friends, this apartment will be my number 1 choice. Btw, i cannot turn the TV on but its ok for me. Since i don't have time to watch tv, but it will be perfect if someday the tv is on :)

The host is nice and friendly. And it will be better to come there with taxi if someone wanna come.(the house is inside the lane) The price reflect the home, first stair is a little unclean but the room is Ok, it is enough for just living.

Jacques was a great host ! The flat simple but really quiet , the family is very nice and the neighborhood is strategically located between several places to see . Jacques is really available and he even made is visit places in Jakarta .

The host knows to be available, welcome to the top. Bedroom and bathroom are best suited for a short stay. I think the location is not too bad but the city is so messy.

Jacques was very kind and helpful and took me out to taste the local cuisine, mother helped me get a universal adapter when I was looking for one. A few revamps place would be perfect given its location relative to sites and business as well

Jacques and especially his mother Honey were very(!) welcoming and friendly. We booked 8 hours in advance and Jacques gave us all necessary information immediately. The accommodation is a typical Indonesian one, so if you stay at Jacques place, you'll get a real local experience including a water barrel shower. The room is nice, there's an aircon and they provide you coffee and tea. The neighborhood is quiet but central and everyone was very warm-hearted and helpful. All in all, it was an unforgettable experience and we're happy that we've stayed at Jacques place!

The neighbourhood is really close to food stals and a McDonald's if you're used to western food. Short taxi trip to the centre of Jakarta, MONAS, National Museum etc. Nice coffee shops in a 15 min walk. Hosts are very welcoming and have interesting stories.

it was lovely to stay at Jacques. room itself is pretty basic, hence price reflects it. but if you need somewhere to stay overnight, it suits well. Jacques was really good communicating and being very helpful. he even dropped me off at the bus stop before he left for work. place is situated in a convenient place, catch the bus easily to anywhere. the room has a/c but the toilet facilities are very basic. overall, As I previously mentioned, if you are looking for somewhere to stay, cheap, safe and and convenient, Jacques and his mum will look after you.

The house is fully-equipped. The stay was clean and comfortable. Ellen was a fantastic host and the caretaker Siti is the best you can ask for! Strategic location with a lively neighborhood.

Elani Residence is good value for money; clean and decently appointed. The room is ensuite, air-conditioned with TV and internet access. This is a much better option to other regular B&B's if your are a tourist. Ellen does not live at the place; it is looked after by a staff. If you are travelling with family and want to stay with a local family, you will not find that here. It is located a short walk to a busway stop so it is convenient to get around Jakarta if you don't want to use taxis. If you are in Jakarta for business, the location is not the most convenient. However, it is still significantly better value to hotel options closer to city centre. There are many eateries around the Kramat area - warongs and restos. Breakfast and the welcome drink was a nice touch.
