  • During our stay, Debra was absolutely lovely, An excellent host to us. She was quick with the responses and even offered and came out to solve an issue that we had messaged her about with some of the amenities. She went above and beyond with helping us and showing us how to use the cast iron pans and even gave us some recommendations for local places to go and visit! The place had a very original feel to it, it was exactly what we were looking for, a cabin outside of the city. It didn't feel like your regular airBnB, it felt more like a personal invitation to a home that was made and furnished with lots thought and love.

  • If you are looking for a place to unwind and unplug this it the place for you! The cabin was perfect and has a great dog run if youre traveling with pets. We enjoyed our stay greatly

  • Very cute and cozy place. I recommend. Very rustic and everything is private.

    Suely2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time in Debra’s cabin! We love the area and enjoyed the local Yearling restaurant while we were there. It was so nice to enjoy the slowness of the country with no wifi. We actually played board games! By the way, the beds were so comfy. Would definitely go back again! I would suggest to bring bottled water though.

  • Debra was a great host! She responded quickly and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We had a nice experience staying at her cabin.

    Megan2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was as hoped; secluded and quiet. We enjoyed the fireplace in the cold evenings. Debra was always very responsive and helpful to any questions.

    Amber2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • My group drove in from Fort Lauderdale and flew in from NY for a weekend off the grid. As the group (mostly foreigners) arrived, we were all THRILLED with how cool (and clean) the cabin was. The surrounding area was also full of outdoor activities (scuba diving and snorkeling in the springs, hiking in the state parks with bison, etc), and coming back to either hang out in the living room or barbecue outside was wonderful. We can't wait to come back.

    Will2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We are so happy with our find here at Debra's! It was exactly what we needed. We came for a birthday weekend trip with friends and family and going home with memories to last a lifetime! We really enjoyed the exclusivity of being in the woods and without service. You cannot fully enjoy the experience being in front of a TV or a phone. It is a perfect place for the whole family, we had a 3 year old, 7 year old and 15 year old and a dog, they all had fun with plenty to do. We enjoyed the bar/restaurant walking distance from the cabin, the food is spectacular. We roasted marshmallows by the fire outside, then woke up in the morning cooked breakfast and sat by the fire in the house. We also enjoyed the small town nearby as well as hiking around many trails. I highly recommend booking Debra's place if you love all of the things above!

Though I wish we could have stayed to enjoy the scenery and a warm campfire, we we thankful nonetheless for the cozy night sleep we had in this campout getaway! Miriam was very flexible and understanding as our plans changed. She was also accessible and responsive. Even a few breakfast items were provided!

Our home is located in a rural neighborhood with unpaved roads, but we are close to everything. Conveniently located less then 5 min from I-75 (exit 358) and 441. This is a great place to stay when passing through or to visit for a few days, enjoying everything the area has to offer.
As our guest you will have nautical themed private room with a private entrance and private bath. There is a full size bed, a chair, and TV in the room. We have a keypad entrance so checking in is quick and easy. Sit out in the mornings on your private patio enjoying a cup of coffee. A mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker is readily accessible in the room. Our home and the room while not fancy is nice and comfortable; parking is in a mulched driveway with a mulch walkway to the patio entrance on the rear of the home. We do have small kitten and some chickens on the property. Please drive slowly on the unpaved roads (approximately 7 blocks) as they can be rough. No smoking is allowed on the property.
Our neighborhood may seem less than desirable as we are in a more rural part of town, but our home is on a street with only one other home and the neighbors are quiet.
  • Nestled under a canopy of trees, Stephan' place is a lovely little nautical hideaway. It felt very private and it was very easy to get comfortable, be aware a very sweet little kitty might try to get into the room if you're not careful, but she will leave if you wave something outside! :)

I'm a long-time educator who invites you to be a guest in my home. This cozy space is a curtained off area in the laundry room and about 7.5' x 6'. It has a twin bed and bookshelf. For your comfort, there is a window a/c and room heater. The bath is shared. Other guests may be staying. My home is in a safe, quiet family neighborhood that's a mile E of I-75 (Newberry Rd./UF/Downtown/ Oaks Mall exit; Archer Road shopping/dining 1 exit S). A bus stop to UF and Downtown is 2 blocks away.
Guests have told me they love the location and decor. I bought this home in April 2018 and have updated the floor with wood-look tile, paint, and other special touches. There’s a Keurig coffee pot and a water boiler in the kitchen on the counter by the fridge you can use. Coffee pods are under the coffee maker in the kitchen. Tea is on the counter – choose your flavor! Quiet time begins at ten pm during the week as my roommates and I have to get up early and go to work. We promise to try not to disturb you!
My neighborhood was built in the late 1970s and early 1980s. There is a mix of residents--young families, seniors, singles, and middle agers. Most are homeowners. I enjoy seeing neighbors walking and children playing in their yards. I feel safe and love my big fenced, private backyard with a huge live oak tree!!

  • I recommend everyone to book asap , if you are looking just book it the bed is super comfortable ! and he was a great host , super nice and pleasing and very welcoming , he definitely made us feel like home, me and my boyfriend first experience we thought it was going to be awkward cause you know you are walking into a strangers house and they are there , but no Jerin made it feel just as we knew him and he was a friend we were visiting! Thank you for our first experience !

    Danilis2019-12-30T00:00:00Z

  • Clean, and good neighborhood

    Marilyn2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet and safe complex. Unit is very clean and room and bathroom were very clean and some unexpected toiletries that I didn’t need but nice to know they were there: mouthwash, toothpaste, tooth brushes, shampoo, body wash, Q-tips. Very big TV in bedroom with Chromecast was a pleasant surprise. Bed was clean an comfy and most importantly, carpet was clean. Host offered to make myself at home in common areas but I chose to spend time in my room but did come out for filtered water in the fridge. Entry was easy with keypad lock and easy one-touch lock to secure the place when leaving.

Stone cottage built in 1940 in the bed & breakfast district, just blocks from the Hippodrome and Depot Park. Looking to rent the entire house while I'm traveling for work. Perfect for professionals doing rotations at Shands or visiting scholars.
Fully furnished. Utilities, internet and lawn service included. Things I like about this house: - cozy kitchen with granite countertops, gas range and a french door fridge - partially open concept living area with woodgrain tile - spacious sun-filled bedrooms with neutral tones and soft carpet - lots of storage in the bathroom - quiet street that's biking distance to campus and walking distance to downtown
  • Desiree's home was phenominal!!! Just as it was desicribed and much more. Spacious, modernized & tile through-out the main parts of the home. Desiree always communicated with us and yet allowed us to have liberty and privacy. Desiree is an awesome host and should be a super-host. I hope that we can stay with Desiree on our next trip to Gainsville!!!

Cutlers' Mere is about 32 acres that has marsh front on Orange Lake. Lochloosa and Orange lakes are connected by Cross Creek. The fishing is Awesome! The boat ramp is 1.1 miles from the property, Gainesville,University of Florida and Ben Hill Griffin Stadium about 30 mins away, The Canyons Zip Line and Canopies in Ocala is 25 mins away. We're a country setting with Gainesville, Ocala, and Palatka not that far away. A wildlife Photographers dream there is no hunting allowed on the property.
Fully equipped kitchen, coffee makers with coffee and tea, charcoal grill, fenced backyard, The Yearling Restaurant is close, and others are accessible by boat or car. All rooms have ROKU TVs except the office that has a small tv with dvd player. If you are planning a gathering of more than 20 people I require that you rent a porta potty as my home is rural and has its own septic system.
Cross Creek is a laid back community. The neighbors are there if you need them. Mostly just country people, farmers, fishermen and women, hunters, writers, and photographers.

  • We had a great time and enjoy the house and nature very much. Katherine is a great host. The house is in a great location and is comfortable.

    Paloma2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine's place is the best kept secrets in the area. She has a lovely home situated on the most serene property in the cute town of Cross Creek. Everyday we woke up and were greeted with a bald eagle and plenty of deer. We spent our Christmas in the home and Katherine went out of her way to put christmas decor throughout her home for us. I will definitely be staying here in the future with my family again and am thankful for her accomdations.

    Kaylyn2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great property with plenty of room for everyone to include boats cars RVs anything else you may have. A lot of extra amenities and features make this an outstanding BnB

    Steve2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I rented this place for our three dogs and two other couples! It was a full house, but there was plenty of space and more than enough amenities to accommodate us all. Our main purpose was to attend the Florida / Tennessee game. The location is far enough from the city and all the noise, but close enough to comfortably tailgate on campus and not have to wake at an obscene hour. The house offers two spacious porches where we enjoyed one another’s company and the coolness of the evening breeze. Bug spray or a mosquito repellant of some sort is a must, but Katherine keeps the house well stocked. We were more than happy with this home and all the wild animals that came with it! If you’re a fan of nature watching, you won’t be disappointed here. Hope we get the chance to return in the future!

    Mechali2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a amazing time. The house is great. Katherine is amazing and was great.

    Travis2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very spacious place, with great amenities. There was multiple beds and they were comfortable. The outside area is very beautiful and full of nature. This home was a very relaxing place. Katherine was also a great host. She is a very nice and pleasing woman. We also got to go on a air boat ride which was a wonderful bonus. I would definitely stay here again!

  • The Huff cottage was great! The historic town of McIntosh is like going into a time warp with all the Victorian houses. And all the huge live oak trees was absolutely breathtaking! The cottage was adorable and clean. Loved all the farm animals that were surrounding the cottage. Definitely recommend if you want to stay in a place outside of the city but no too far from Gainesville or Ocala.

    Amy2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • I live in Gainesville and was looking for someplace to stay with my daughter and grandaughter out in the country. This was just the spot! We were just a few yards from all the animals when they would come to eat, and they were always close by, curious to look at us! The park was a block away. I would highly recommend this for families. The cabin is so cute inside, much better than the pictures!

  • WELCOME TO THE REAL FLORIDA!-Ruth is a fabulous host and her place will feel like your Florida home. Authentic Terrazo floors throughout, with fascinating artwork and Floridian artifacts on the walls, the house is very close to natural greenways, parks and bike paths...yet an easy distance to downtown. A great place to relax, unwind or study, Ruth keeps things low key, bohemian and comfortable. As an engineer on assignment in the area her place is exactly what I need after a busy day. Thanks so much Ruth!!

    James2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful!! The location is close to campus but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of it. The best part is being so close to nature trails to get in a morning run in the Florida beauty and then coming back at night after a long day to a comfy bed. Ruth is a gem :)

A small, restful, cottage with a large screen porch, kitchenette, and full bath with hilltop views of a 40-acre pasture. Cows, cattle egrets, sand-hill cranes, and other wildlife are often seen from the cottage porch or kitchen table. There is a $25 pet fee for dogs payable upon arrival. Social distancing and enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocol now standard proceedure. Will send details in an E mail to anyone who wants further information.
Located near the historic and scenic "Old Florida" villages of Micanopy, Evinston, and McIntosh, this two-room"cottage" looks like an old Southern "tenant farmers shack" with a large screen porch. But it is brand new, with all the modern amenities including satellite TV. The cell phone and WiFi reception are good. One room is a '"great room" with a single and a double bed, end table, chest of drawers, kitchen island, dining table, TV, ceiling fan/ light, and kitchenette. A sliding glass door to the 12 x 24 screen porch where another table offers front porch dining and great views of the back pasture, like those shown in the photos. The other room is a full bathroom with a shower/ tub and a vanity/ sink. You are just a short ride from the Scenic Old Florida villages of McIntosh, Evinston and Micanopy, and several state and county parks. Plenty of back roads, hiking, biking, and fishing opportunities nearby. There are lots of horse farms in the area. The Animal Dynamics Equine Sports Therapy School and the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine are short drives away from the cottage for students who wish to stay in the country and not commute from Gainesville or Ocala The nearby historic village of McIntosh is full of large Victorian homes, with giant oaks and tall palms. There are no strip malls or chain restaurants in McIntosh. Just a scenic village frozen in time like Florida was before the tourist boom started. There is even a low power FM radio station out of McIntosh which plays a mixture of Blue Grass, Southern Gospel, and 1950s Rock music, a rare example of rural Americana. (It is only 72 watts, has a very limited range and is often off the air but is interesting to listen to for something different when you can pick it up) This is not the Florida of the theme parks and high rise hotels. It is Florida like it used to be.
The neighborhood is made up of rural homes on large acreage tracts. They are mainly cattle, horse and hay farms with some large tracts of woods. Yet it is an easy 20-minute drive to Gainesville or Ocala via Interstate 75 or on 4 lane US highway 441. There are 5 restaurants within 10 miles and a Dollar General store for basic shopping 3 miles away. For some reason, the Dollar General Store does not show in the online guidebook. It has a good variety of household goods but doesn't carry fresh produce or fresh meats.
  • Marks cottage was perfect. Definitely recommend! The scenery was amazing and he was extremely helpful. It was great having a fenced in yard for my dog to run around in. We stayed here during COVID-19 and the place was spotless! He even had Lysol!! Thank you mark for a fabulous and comfortable stay.

It’s one of those places that makes you forget the unimportant stressors that tend to rule our lives, and appreciate the simple things like the sounds of nature in the morning. I intend to return very soon!

  • Mark is an excellent host. His place is in a beautuful country setting but only 20 minutes from the city so you can have country quiet or as much excitment as you'd like. Mark is very informative about the area and the native trees and plants which was very interesting. There were farm animals grazing from your porch view every day and also many events happening by jumping on I-75 near the cottage with just a quick drive to Gainsville. You can relax to a sunset in the evening that you didn't want to miss. We will always remember our stay at Marks place.

Our back yard cottage is available for 1-2 guests (one queen bed upstairs), full shower bath, kitchenette downstairs. We are located just off the main street in the town of Micanopy, just a short and scenic drive to Gainesville or Ocala. Private cottage, private entrance for your personal use, meets Airbnb COVID-19 requirements for a clean and comfortable stay. Micanopy is a beautiful and charming place - you'll love it.
Two his and hers bikes available for your use. Kitchenette has full size refrigerator, double sink, microwave, Keurig coffee pot, electric skillet, and serveware. No oven, cooktop or laundry facilities. We always put some essentials and few niceties for you - bottled water, coffee pods, assorted drinks, a few snacks and maybe a frozen treat or two in the freezer!
There’s no other place quite like Micanopy. Plenty to do and see. Walk or bike our tree-lined streets to nearby shops, art galleries, cafes, bakery, parks, historical sites or the library next door. Walkable and bikeable town. Nearby playground, postoffice, museum, native american preserve, bakery, churches and many other quaint antique shops, art galleries and locally owned mom-pop restaurants. Micanopy is Florida’s oldest inland town and was recently named one of America’s top 12 “Cutest Small Towns”. The 80's movie "Doc Hollywood" with Michael J. Fox was filmed here and many of the town residents were even in the film! Micanopy is surrounded by Old Florida history and nature’s beauty. There are blue hole springs, lakes, trails, Payne's Prairie State Park close by. Gainesville is about 11 miles to the north, if you are visiting UF, Shands or going to a Gator game, desire additional shopping, restaurants and nightlife.
  • The place is beautiful and close to everything, beautiful art, lots of natural light, and privacy makes this cottage a beautiful place to stay for a weekend get away or extended stay.

  • Special slice of paradise....

    Kim2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at this adorable cottage for 6 nights while I competed at a horse show in nearby Ocala. It’s the perfect location: walkable and cute little town area and close to major highways. The cottage was filled with lots of extra touches that made my stay so enjoyable, like lots of snacks and drinks ready in the fridge, great selection of books to read, a cute enclosed porch, and a really comfortable bed. I was out of the cottage pretty much all day during my stay, and it was so nice to come back to a safe, quiet little location. There are also plenty of fans and two large AC units if the weather starts to become too steamy. I would highly recommend this cottage to everyone in the area and will for sure consider coming back to it myself if I’m ever in the area again!

    Allison2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Holly and Jerry have done a phenomenal job with making us feel welcome. Their cottage is quite the stylish abode with everything you need at a bnb. I definitely will come by again if I need to check out this cute little town again.

Our place is close to I 75 half way between Gainesville and Ocala and is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Spend a week or weekend in a sunny Florida on a horse farm. We have a newly renovated, spacious modular home 30mins from Gainesville (home of the Florida Gators). This immaculate and charming residence is fully furnished with four bedrooms and a large living room on owners' 40-acre horse farm.
Home has lots of privacy. It has a large paved parking area. 2 rooms have a desk for laptop work.
Quiet neighborhood of farms..Lots of privacy
  • We loved staying at Jeannie's horse heaven. It is the perfect place if you want to get away from the city and just relax. We stayed there with 2 dogs and 2 cats and a boat as a place to stay until we could move into a new house we had just bought. The house is very comfortable to stay in, it was very clean, and it had everything we needed. It was a beautiful setting on 40 acres. The property has been beautifully fenced and all the pastures are just gorgeous. There are several miniature horses on the property that are fun to watch.

This suite is just over one mile from the University of Florida campus as well as Downtown. Shands and the VA hospitals are approximately 2 miles away. The unit has just been completely refurbished and offers a private bedroom, bathroom, guest entrance, A/C and parking. The unit is located in a peaceful residential neighborhood and is within easy access to local grocery stores, pharmacies and other amenities.
There is the original hardwood flooring throughout the unit, a queen-sized bed, tea and coffee-making facilities and a 55" television with access to apple tv (Netflix, Hulu, and HBOGO are provided).
The neighborhood is called Oakview in Northwest Gainesville, and it is only 1.3 miles from both the University of Florida campus and Downtown Gainesville. The neighborhood is suburban, slightly Bohemian, and full of vintage and historic homes. As its namesake suggests, the neighborhood is known for its dense canopy of old-growth Laurel and Live Oaks.
  • We need to go to Gainesville from Orlando for medical reasons and Jonathan place is a perfect place to have for the day. It is super close to UF hospital and VERY clean and quiet. I checked in and worked for several hours on my computer with their WIFI, before I had to pick my son up from the hospital to go back home to Orlando. Jonathan replies fast, he is friendly and the place was perfect for me. I was able to bring my water and keep it cold in the little fridge and use the coffee pot he has in the suite. There is no microwave, but there is a kettle if you want to heat some water to have tea. I will rent his place every time we have to go back to Gainesville if he has it available.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my visit with Jonathan. Staying at his home was a snap decision, and I am so happy with my choice! The suite was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and conveniently located near downtown. I would definitely recommend this space to anyone visiting the Gainesville area.

  • Jonathan's was a great place to stop overnight. It was very clean and homey. Definitely recommend. We loved the landscaping outside too :)

    Sonja2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed just one night and Jonathan’s place was perfect for what we needed. Immaculate, as other reviews suggest. We found an unexpectedly nice feature in the single car driveway reserved for us, off the street. It may not seem like much, but Gainesville neighborhoods can feel a bit eerie, especially around nighttime, so the separation made us feel much safer returning to the home at night. Definitely consider trying it out! We’ll be back!

    Connor2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place is clean, quiet and practical. Smooth check in and check out. Jonathan was a great welcoming host, he was communicative and gave us great recommendations of places to check out. Great stay!

  • Rachel and BJ’s place is in a very convenient location in town. It was great for our family, the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed (cooking supplies, coffee maker etc). We only stayed one night as we were passing through to get home. The host was very responsive and provided all the information we needed. We would recommend their place to others.

Great small Mobile Home on a 8000 Acre lake. Bring your fishing pole and relax. The fish camp up the road has a nice restaurant with good food. There are 2 boat launches close by if you have a boat or rent one from the fish camp. You can fish from the dock which has a sink to clean your catch.
The kitchen has water to use for cooking and drinking. The well is good water but has a slight rust smell to it. The back bedrooms are the quietest of the rooms because there can be a train at night but if you are out fishing you will sleep through the train.
Good Area to walk around This link is a good place to get information on fishing the lakes http://www.jimporter.org/lakes/twinlakes/
  • Nice place. Clean and comfortable. Just as we expected!

    Jenny2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Jeff's place because it reminded us so much of our family's lake house at Lake Tinkler in Oklahoma that we immediately felt at home. The space was private and had a large carport which was great because it just started to storm when we were packing up. The tain is pretty loud at the front of the house but I grew up living next to trains so they didn't bother us. The fishing dock was the best part. It was so relaxing to just sit out there and look over the lake. There were fish teasing the line but no bites. I really appreciate Jeff's hospitality and quick response since I booked this same day. We do plan on a return visit in the future.
