Elsa and her home were lovely. The veiw was spectacular overlooking the harbour, Elsa was wonderful booking us in at last minute. When we arrived she showed us where everything was and told us about the ferrys we could catch across to lyttelton. The self contained unit we stayed in was extremely clean and well presented. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Elsa's place was a great escape from Christchurch city - quiet, clean and with great views of the Lyttleton harbour. Elsa provided everything we needed and was responsive and flexible for our needs. I would very much recommend a stay there.

The stunning view from window-walls in the bedroom and spacious living area of Christchurch across the bay were in themselves reason to have come here. Equally pleasing were the immaculate upkeep of a place that seems brand new, the adequate heating, the ease of using the thermostat-controlled hot water in the bathroom and that room's individual heater, and the warmth of Elsa herself, who introduced us personally to the apartment and was helpful introducing features of the region without ever being intrusive. We wish we could move in!

Wonderful apartment, immaculately clean and heaps of room. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchette and lovely outdoor space to sit in the sunshine. Fab views over to the harbour and an easy stroll to the cafes. Elsa is so friendly and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend to others.

If you are looking to get away and relax somewhere secluded with amazing views this is the place! It was quiet and peaceful! It's a pretty far trip from any type of town but if you plan ahead and get what you need it doesn't matter. I would absolutely recommend this place! Juliet was great and easy to communicate with if you needed her.

AMAZING views! Super secluded cottage nestled in the bush with spectacular bay & mountain views -- a world away from Christchurch.

Despite some steps to get down to the house, and a very steep road acces (you feel doing roller coaster), the bach is absolutely stunning. The view is wonderful, kitchen is very well furnished, you feel at home in holiday house, that's amazing. I strinbgly recommand it !

Why stay in Christchurch when this little piece of paradise awaits

Modern well equipped unit with a large deck and great views over the harbour and town. Clear instructions are provided for all the things you need to know, including the use of a very nice Spa Pool. Gregor provides a high level of communication which makes things easy. Great little unit. We enjoyed a relaxing stay. Recommend the walking track from Naval Point to Cass Bay and return.

Great views, short drive out of centre of Christchurch, close to Gondola. Well equipped, spacious will nice touch of crumpets , orange juice , chocs etc on arrival.

This home is smart, fresh, bright and elegant - in a beautiful setting to boot. Everything was super clean, felt new, right down to the quality linen and oooo under floor heating in bathroom and thick plush carpet. Our host was a great communicator and very thoughtful, going the extra mile. We'll definitely be back. We stayed with our almost 2year old and the set up worked very well for us. Thank you!

The property is very well located. With a magnificent view. The hosts have left processes in the refrigerator. There is no a shopping or restaurant. going to Littleton is the only chance. However, were only for passengers. Otherwise everything quite well.

Very nice owners but the accommodation itself is dark and there's no possibility for fresh air. There's one window that goes into the carport and can't be opened. Furthermore the kitchen was not clean. There were aunts in the kitchen and the kitchenware was not cleaned. You'll be lost without a car as well. No public transportation except of the ferry which is 30 Min walk away. I'm sorry but I can't recommend staying there.

Elena is a superhost. The description on Here's Profil is real. We live like on our flat at home. All is there, also a free unlimited fast wifi. The location to find is easy but with many curves. But a great view to Lyttelton. Er would to stay again there.

Although we arrived a couple hours earlier than designated check in time, Sam was very welcoming and offered us a very nice environment. We loved her little friends Huxley and Ruddy. Amazing view as expected from the listing. Close to the bus stops and town centre. Would love to come again.

Wow, what a welcome. This really is luxury at its finest. We were welcomed to a beautiful little house, where there was a delicious platter and a freshly baked loaf of bread was awaiting us as well as a clean, cosy and comfortable place. We absolutely loved enjoying our breakfast on the balcony overlooking the bay and the lovely lavender garden. If you're looking for a quiet place thats not too far from Christchurch but yet also away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our two-night stay at Shelley's apartment. The place is newly built, very well-appointed, and completely private. The view from the apartment is simply stunning! Shelley and her husband are extremely friendly, pleasant, and knowledgeable about the town and surrounding areas. Wishing that we'd been able to spend more days at Quail's Nest!!

We were here as the last stop on a 3-week honeymoon in New Zealand. Sadly we did not spend much time, but the Quail's Nest was the perfect spot to decompress, repack, and relax before our early flight the next morning. A lovely place to sit and watch the quail's poke through the yard, even on a gloom day. Would definitely recommend!

Shelly's guest house is perfect. The views are spectacular. The five minute ferry ride to Lyttleton provides access to a wonderful restaurant, Freeman's, and to others as well.

Our stay with Shelley and Tom was wonderful! They were both so friendly and welcoming and Shelley had prepared a cold platter for us on arrival and scones for breakfast! The place had great views, an amazing bathroom and was a walk and ferry ride away from cafes and shops. We highly recommend staying here, we loved it.

Hands down one of the best Airbnb I've stayed. This house is absolutely beautiful, pictures doesn't do justice. Such a cozy, clean and beautifully decorated place topped with an amazing view. Full kitchen available with quality nonstick pots and pans, seasonings and we were even given cookies, milk, orange juice, cereal & chocolates. House heater is great, toilet heater works well too. There's a bath tub and Kathryn spoilt us with bath bombs & aromatherapy soap/lotions. Both Queen bed and Sofa bed was comfortable. Kathryn was kind enough to allow us to extend check out time slightly while we finished our packing. I can't recommend this place enough, amazing place and responsive host who was willing to assist where possible. Many thanks Kathryn!

This was an amazing Airbnb, gorgeous view and about 20 min from Christchurch. House was beautiful and clean. Very comfy bed and a relaxing bathtub. We definitly recommend staying here.

Kathryn's studio is well worth the drive out of Christchurch. It's big and beautifully furnished with an amazing view of the water. She even had a beautiful spread of fruit and coffee cake laid out.

I had a really pleasant stay at Rom's. A cosy space with great view,s and Lyttelton is a great little town. Rom was on hand for any questions or queries. Definitely recommend!

Quaint little sleep out, top value and top host.

Wonderful little guest house and the Rom was a gracious host who pointed out the scenic walks nearby and provided all the amenities / suggestions one would need for a pleasant stay. The view from the place is stunning and was just what I was after for a cozy stay in the sleepy port town. Would highly recommend if you're just looking to unwind and relax.

The views cannot be beat in this little cabin on the side of a hill. Beds are very comfortable and the host is kind enough to provide coffee, tea, milk and even access to a washing machine. The shower and toilet are combined in one room with a sliding door. The vibe is quirky and relaxing. Loved it!

Roms place is good if you like the rough bach small type accommodation, probably most suited to single person. Smallest bathroom ever. But great view on steep hill.

I had a great stay in Joke's little cottage. Joke was exceptionally helpful when it came to organizing my stay, happy to answer even the smallest of questions and made sure I would have access to the property despite my very late arrival (after 4am). The cottage has all the basic amenities you could need, and is exceptionally quiet and peaceful; you won't be woken up in the early hours by unwanted traffic! The view after waking up and stepping outside is quite breathtaking. It is around a 15 minute walk (all down hill!) to the shops, and there is readily accessible transport to take you to Christchurch. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

We had a wonderful, cozy evening at Joke's cabin. The view looking out over Lyttelton Harbor is quite stunning and it's clear that Joke has given a lot of thought and consideration to her guest's needs (makings for tea and coffee, good wi-fi service, comfortable sitting area with beautiful plants surrounding). Joke has a very grounded, warm demeanor....a truly excellent host and experience.

The most fantastic, hospitable stay ever ! We felt really welcomed, and had an amazing stay in a beautiful house ! We were even invited to join in for their dinner. My only regret was that i could only stay for 2 nights!

This was our favorite place to stay during the entire three week trip through the South Island of New Zealand. Pamela, John and their daughter were lovely and welcoming. It was like staying with old friends. The house is spectacular with amazing light, views and beautiful furnishings. The location is perfect for exploring the area. The bed was lush and comfortable. The private balcony had a spectacular view. The gardens were beautiful and comfortable with plenty of choices of seating. We started each morning with a homemade breakfast and lovely conversation. So happy we spent a few days at Cass Bay.

This is a first class spot - we loved everything about the place and John and Pam could not have been more helpful - it's amazing that this quiet retreat is so close to Christchurch. We would have loved to have spent more time there

We have stayed in a lot of airbnb places around the world over the last few years, and this was without a doubt, our favourite place ever!!! We cannot describe how stunning the home and location are, you just have to see for yourself! Pam was the most charming, welcoming and friendly host, we felt like we were staying with family. She really went above and beyond to look after us and spoiled us with delicious breakfast treats and homegrown strawberries from her garden at the end of the lawn! We chatted for ages about life in general and thoroughly enjoyed soaking up the sun in the beautiful surroundings. Pam very generously lent us her paddleboards and kayaks, and nothing was too much to ask. The bed was divinely comfortable and the house so quiet. Lyttleton is just nearby and has some great quirky shops and restaurants - you'll love the pub Civil & Naval! We cannot recommend Pam and her incredibly gorgeous house enough - it will be your most favourite stay yet!!

Pamela's 'luxury haven on the beach' is precisely as described and MORE! The accommodations are spectacular - 5 STAR quality on every dimension. Pamela went way beyond our expectations to ensure that we felt 'at home' in her beautiful, slice of paradise. Pamela was very insightful and anticipated absolutely everything that we needed while, also, being excptionally respectful of our privacy. 5 Star Accommodation and 5 Star Host! The House has a fantastic view and there is a nice neighborhood. Reals good to stay here if you need to catch a flight in christchurch afterwards. The Hosts are wonderful and the House is really big. Highly recommended.
