  • Couldn't be happier with our stay. Super clean with plenty of amenities to make our stay comfortable. We loved playing games at the dining table while looking out over the lake. Being able to park our vehicle in the garage was a huge bonus we weren't expecting. Would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

Quiet attic space with bedroom and private living room/office area- like a tiny apartment- in a historic home with original details. Use the sauna after skiing at Bohemia all day, have a beer at Keweenaw Brewing Company, and easily visit your friends at Michigan Tech! **COVID-19 precautions: Because we have a large college, a VA clinic, and a regional hospital in the area, I have decided to remain open while taking some precautions. Details are elsewhere in this listing.**
COVID-19 precautions: Because we have a large college, a VA clinic, and a regional hospital in the area, I have decided to remain open while taking some precautions: -There are no shared spaces for this listing. In the past, this listing offered access to my kitchen and living room, but I have suspended that for now. -I am using a four day buffer between guests -All linens are bleached, not just laundered -All surfaces will be wiped down with paper towels and a spray cleaner that effective against viruses (a towel and cleaning spray in the room for the use of guests, should they want to wipe down any surface) -I am supplying large garbage bags and asking all guests to bag their bed linens and towels for me when they leave. (Thanks for your cooperation.)
The neighborhood is in the "sweet spot"- a 5-min walk from Michigan Tech, 5-min the other way to a local cafe, less than a minute to the local grocery store! We're a 10 minute walk to our beautiful downtown, with local breweries, shops, and restaurants. You can see the local ski hill from my driveway! A 10 minute drive to Mount Bohemia and the Houghton Airport.
  • Great little spot. Lots of light in the bedroom and sitting area. Very close to downtown and lakeshore. We didn’t use the fireplace in the back but it looks lovely!

  • Nice place with great value

    Annabelle2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Adam was kind and communicative. Location is a couple minute walk from the town’s main drag. Bed was super comfortable. Would stay again!

    Steven2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The room is warm and cozy, and the location is great - close to restaurants and microbrews in downtown Houghton and to roads leading to Copper Harbor. And Adam and his family are kind and welcoming.

    Brenda2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • An extra cozy place to retreat to after a Winter cross country ski race ~ your own "wood stove style" gas heater provides an even and instant heat. So relaxing to watch the flickering flames and crackling sounds as well!

    Nancy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We needed a place to stay at the last minute (with our dog) and Adam responded immediately that we could stay with him. Our arrival time was very late at night but Adam still greeted us in person and had lights left on for us. If you are looking for a place to lay your head for the night, you can't go wrong staying here.

Whether you come here for sightseeing during the color/summer season, snowmobiling/skiing/carnival in the winter, in the late summer for berry picking, or even a scholarly exchange, this place is ideal for your extended stay in the four-season Keweenaw area. Queen bed in the furnished basement room available. Driving to Hancock downtown is within than 5-10 minutes. If you are a first-time Airbnb guest, please communicate with me about your expectations, such as if breakfast included.
The house is fully featured with smart home automation. I rent out only the basement room where the entire basement is nicely furnished. You will have the freedom to access the entire basement with the total area of 1262 sq ft. The basement has the dryer and laundry machine with the bathroom as well. If you come here for a business trip, this may be a perfect place for you to iron your shirts and get ready for your daily meetings. During the summer, the basement can be damp so I have the dehumidifier turned on in order to assure the comfortable stay within the moisture level in the basement. In the winter, the furnace is powered by water heating system in which the pipe contracts and expands that generate subtle ticking sound from the boiler that can be noisy to a light sleeper.
The neighborhood is very quiet and there is access to the downtown Hancock as well as the portage lake.

  • This was our 2nd stay and was last minute in order to move our daughter home early from Michigan Tech due to the pandemic. We were thankful to stay in such a clean environment vs. a questionable hotel. Great hosts who have thought of nice touches and conveniences. Communication and care is top notch. Would highly recommend!

  • Stayed here for four days in mid February. Wanted to come visit some friends and also go snowmobiling. Great location in Hancock. Just a 2 block walk to Quincy. House was perfect for 2-3 people. Very clean. Great view. Cozy. Kitchen was rather well stocked in case you wanted to cook meals. Parking was nice and had plenty of room for our sleds. Stayed nice and warm inside despite single digit temps. Nice comfortable beds and clean linens. Washer/dryer present in case needed. No complaints!

    Toni2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a Great stay and felt at home. Enjoyed the open and spacious feel with the sleeping area upstairs and the beautiful windows letting in lots of natural light. Loved the living and sleeping areas. Kitchen was well equipped and had a full size fridge to make fresh meals. Nice and peaceful scenery to appreciate, especially in the mornings—and even fun to watch the snowmobilers out the large windows. We liked the white linens and cottage feel. There was a ton of snow, and the driveway was plowed before we arrived. Plenty of room for our SUV. Loved the boot tray for our snowy boots. The owners were immediately responsive to our needs. Would definitely stay here again! (Mapping apps didn’t quite get us all the way there, but we recognized the home from the photos.)

  • JoLynn's place worked out perfectly for me, my husband and son to say while in town for our youngest sons MTU commencements. We stayed in cabin #2 for 4 nights. I am very picky about places I stay so was relieved to see how clean and cozy the place was. It also has all the amenities you would need. JoLynn was timely with the information required for check in and check out and quickly available for any questions we may have. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Located on quiet dead-end street at the edge of the woods, with a view of Torch Lake. Comfortable, cheerful and private, it’s about a 15-min. drive across the Portage lift bridge to Michigan Tech. Pet-friendly with safe dog walking options. All are welcome!
Built in 1898 by the mining company, this salt box-style home originally had an outhouse where the birch is growing now. When a toilet was added, it was put in the basement because people couldn't imagine a toilet inside! Updated and remodeled in 2006,the plumbing and wiring were all replaced. It's got its original maple wood floors and sits on a Jacobsville sandstone foundation.
Tamarack City is between Houghton/Hancock and Calumet along M-26. Our neighborhood is an old mining location above the ruins of a copper processing mill. The mining company bought some of the homes from the Atlas Powder company in Dollar Bay and floated them across Torch Lake for use by its workers. They are all sided now, but underneath are the old logs used to build them. In the summer you can sit on the back deck and listen for the sand hill cranes who nest along Torch Lake. Our neighbor's bird feeder is visited by all the gold finches this side of the bridge. Enjoy the fall colors at the edge of the woods, and in the winter snow shoe up behind the house. Other than the robins singing in the morning in the summer and the chains of the snow plow rattling by late morning in the winter, the neighborhood is really quiet - you'll get a good night's sleep!
  • This a wonderful place to stay. It’s a quieter neighborhood on the outskirts of Houghton/Hancock.

  • Super cute yet spacious little house, perfect for visiting our son at Tech without staying amid the chaos of Houghton/Hancock for Winter Carnival. Extra touches include Wifi, Bluetooth speakers, games, coffee and plenty of hot water. Excellent hosts made it easy and pleasant to book and stay. We all loved this place!

    Carol2020-02-09T00:00:00Z

This 4 bedroom 2 bath home is located next to chutes and ladders located on portage canal next to Houghton beach, Chutes & Ladders, and Houghton public docks. Home is a short walk to Michigan Tech and historic downtown. There are two kayaks and 2 bikes available for you to use and explore the canal or downtown. We love dogs and do welcome them but do charge an extra $10 nightly fee per dog. Please send me any questions.
The house is located across from the water right salong the walking trail that can lead you to either the beach or towards the University. Please do not have any loud parties. If using the trails for 4 wheeling or snowmobiling please obey local laws and ordinances.

Good amount of parking for several cars. I appreciate that the dining table is bench seating that we can maximize at meals and card playing. The view from the living spaces is lovely being just down from the lift bridge. It’s beautiful year round.

This is a work in process, Open Concept apartment that has a full kitchen, bar, 2 couches that both pull out to beds. There is also a queen bed, and a bunk bed with a twin over a full as well. Parking off street along side the building. Room for only 2 vehicles or 1 vehicle with a trailer parking parallel to the building. This will change the deeper we get into winter. Heat is steam radiant. This is a great option for guests coming to the area for MTU or touring the area Message questions
Growing while we host! Look for new and improved things as we move forward with our hosting adventure.
We are right on the Bill Nichols trail. While this is great for some, others should realize you will hear 4 wheelers and snowmobiles driving by. Walking distance to great food at Tina's Katalina. Adult beverages can be enjoyed at the South Range Lounge on M-26 just south of our location.

Located on Portage Lake in Chassell, MI, near Houghton with quick access to Michigan Tech University, this rustic family cabin is a great place for either an overnight stay or a longer getaway. It provides a great home base for travel in the Keweenaw peninsula! As a 1930s cabin with a sauna on the lake along with a great view, the focus is on the experience! We find guests who truly enjoy our place are flexible with rustic conditions (not looking for Holiday Inn Express) and young at heart!
Along with the house of the owner, this is the only cabin on this property. Guests have access to the sauna on the lake and the shower in the owner's house in order to bathe. The cabin which has only cold water includes a kitchen (with a refrigerator, cooking surface, convection oven, microwave oven, griddle, coffee and hot pot) as well as a toilet.
The cabin is located on Portage Lake in a quiet neighborhood with a rails-to-trails path right across the road that is great for walking, running or biking. A township park is located on the lake 3/4 of a mile to the south. The Michigan Technological University campus is located 6 miles to the north and west on US 41. Downtown Houghton (where the dock for the Ranger to Isle Royale is located) is one mile farther where you will find numerous dining options and an outstanding brewery.
  • Keith and Julie were very friendly, gave us some great local tips on the best nearby places to visit, and were very attentive whenever we would need anything. The sauna right on the docks was also great! Beautiful sunrises and stargazing!

  • Gorgeous view! A dip in the lake and then a sauna is a must.

  • I'm not sure anyone could be finer hosts than Keith and Julie. We experienced a truly outstanding UP trip and staying at this place was a highlight. Watched the World Series Game One with Keith. Got the sauna up to 185 degrees. Chicken soup was perfect. Onya Keith and Julie!

  • Keith and Julie were around to help out with anything that was needed, always there for a helping hand :) beautiful little yard with a beautiful view of the stars at night and sunrise in the morning. Thanks guys!

  • Great house! We spent a wonderful night in Keith & Julie house. The house is located just beside a beautiful lake where you can appreciate the sunrise and sunset. The house is very clean and warm, we all have a good sleep. What's more, I really impressed by Keith & Julie's hospitality, we had a great talk which allows me to learn more about the north michigan. Extremely Recommended!

  • Keith and Julie are amazing hosts and their cabin was perfect for our stay. We had a long drive up from Chicago and arrived quite late. Keith and Julie were very understanding, and even had the sauna heated for us upon arrival. The sunrise from the deck the next morning was absolutely breathtaking. We had planned to continue up to Copper Harbor, and Keith and Julie shared their favorite spots to stop along the way and gave us a map. We couldn't have asked for a better way to start our first trip visiting the UP!

    Amanda2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Julie and Keith are fantastic hosts with very warm and friendly hospitality. The setting was amazing, a quaint and rustic cabin on the lake. Although there is no bathroom in the cabin, they were very inviting about using the guest bathroom in the main house. We wish we could have taken advantage of both the vintage, wood-fired sauna and the incredible hiking trails near by, but it just will encourage us to come back and visit sometime. We loved our stay!

Welcome! Enjoy this private canal front property complete with sandy beach and spacious front yard. Relax by the fire or enjoy a meal on the provided picnic table. When the weather gets cooler, head into the large enclosed furnished front porch that overlooks the Portage Canal.
This property is located four miles from the Houghton business strip on the Houghton Canal Road. It can sleep up to eight comfortably. Wake up with the sunrise and enjoy your coffee with beautiful views of the canal. After breakfast play a game of corn hole or go for a refreshing swim.
Take a tour of a copper mine at Quincy Mine, enjoy hiking, biking at the Nara Nature Trails, or explore local downtown shops and eateries only a few miles away. Bring your own boat or personal watercraft as there are two public boat launches within five miles.
  • Cheryl's place was wonderful. We were visiting our son at Michigan Tech and her house was perfectly located on the canal with a spectacular view of the fall colors. She responded quickly to any questions we had. Her home was very clean and welcoming. We truly appreciated her hospitality and will most definitely stay there again if it is available. I highly recommend her home.

    Paulette2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We serously enjoyed the view and would love it in warmer weather. Maybe we'll take another trip.

Cheryl was easily accessible through texting and we all enjoyed our stay.

  • We had a wonderful stay in this charming and spacious waterfront home! Cheryl was quick to respond and offered tips on local points of interest. It was nice to kayak right from the property with a beautiful view of the Portage Canal. The sunroom was especially nice to enjoy the views with a morning coffee. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet spot just minutes from Houghton and local attractions!

    Heather2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nestled by the canal and 10 minutes from the waterfront of Houghton. Very clean. 3 bedroom and 2 baths. 2 eating areas. Wash and Dryer. We used the fire pit and had a nice fire. Perfect home base for day excursions or just touring the area of Houghton. Quick response and easy access to house. A closed in patio room to view the lake with binoculars to spot wildlife. Cozy / Comfy feel

    Steph2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Cheryl’s place was amazing! The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable! Cheryl answered all of our questions in a timely manner and was very helpfully throughout our stay! The apartment is a renovated school. Very wide hallways and very high ceilings - Nice spacious effect. Apartment could not have been cleaner. Grocery store just up the hill (very convenient) along with a CrossFit gym in same parking lot. Very much enjoyed our stay:)

  • This place is very tastefully done in every aspect...you won't be disappointed. Whenever I had a question Shannon replied within minutes. We had a great stay. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us...2 adults and 4 teenagers. My daughters slept on the roll away beds and said they were comfortable. It's also in a great location and the building has a very cool atmosphere. We went tubing at Mont Ripley and ice skating at a park which were both minutes away. Keep in mind it's up 3 flights of stairs and I did not see an elevator anywhere so that would be a question for Shannon if that's a concern. Very pleased with everything.

This fantastic little 1 bedroom cottage is perfect for Lake Superior getaways. Our location is about 3.5 miles from downtown historic Calumet - yet still quiet and nestled in the forest lined beach. We are conveniently located near all area attractions; Copper Harbor, Mt. Bohemia, Swedetown, and Houghton/Hancock. Sleeps 4 comfortably. Additional sofa sleeper in living room.
Our location is just about as central as you can get while still remaining secluded and nestled into the woods of the Lake Superior shore. Our location is a very private and zero cross traffic as the road to the cottage stops here. There are only four other neighboring cottages (all part of North Shore Cottages) for miles, unlike most locations along the shore with private neighbors by the dozens and just feet from major roads and highways. You are sure to fall in love with the vast undeveloped and forested shoreline surrounding our location. The cottage has 2 double beds and a sofa-sleeper in the living room. The bathroom has a full bath/shower. High speed Wi-Fi and smart TV. Our location is very clean, and well maintained by our professional housekeeping staff. Our linens are provided weekly by Aramark Linen Service.
5 minute drive to Calumet. 10 minute drive to Houghton. 30 minute drive to Copper Harbor.

Newly remodeled 3 bedroom, 2 full bathroom home conveniently located near mountain bike and Nordic ski trails, Hancock Beach and Lake Superior, grocery stores, Portage hospital, and downtown Hancock. We are less than one mile from Finlandia University and just over three miles to Michigan Technological University. Our home is quiet and good for groups, couples, business travelers, and families.
Our home was originally built around 1910 and completed remodeled in 2017. The house is very typical of many older homes in the Keweenaw with narrow stairways and the bedrooms located upstairs (the futon is located on the first floor). This is our vacation home and it is furnished comfortably but minimally, which provides ample space to enjoy the house without feeling cluttered!
    Very quiet residential neighborhood.

    Faith2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The house was better than expected as we were prepared for an older home like many in the area, but it was very clean and well updated. The beds provided great nights of sleep and the house fit all of us perfectly.

  • Had a wonderful stay! Loved the sustainable and environmentally friendly touches!

Calumet Village is a historic district from the areas rich copper mining heritage. You are within the boundaries of Keweenaw National Park. The building your are staying in is well over a century old. Tin ceilings, plaster walls, and old woodwork have been preserved. The apartment building is within walking distance of museums, art galleries, restaurants, gift shops, pubs, the village park, and a laundry mat. Within a few blocks there is a grocery and a dollar store. MTU campus is 15 minutes.
The building you are in was originally offices above the first floor retail. Looking at the facade you can see this was originally two 2 story buildings. These were built in the 1880's. In 1905 the buildings were combined and a third floor was added.
The village is very walk-able. Museums and shops are all up and down Fifth Street. Fine dining and pizza places are within walking distance. Agassis Park is one block over on fourth street with tables, grills, horse shoe pits, and a basketball court. Many century old heritage sites are within the village limits. In the colder months the Swedetown trails and sled hill is not far a way. Mount Bohemia is further up the road toward Copper Harbor. For summer visitors there are many public parks, beaches, hiking, biking, and ORV trails, as well as many unique small towns each with their own special character and history.
  • Had a wonderful time at Tom’s place. Wonderful location, spacious apartment with a nice view of Main Street. Tom was super accommodating to our last minute needs and we will definitely be returning.

  • Was a real value in a special snowy place. If you are a fan of historic lodging in historic places. The lodging was well done and genuine Calumet Upper Michigan.

High-end glamping in the Keweenaw Peninsula. This tiny house/cabin features two lofts with queen-sized beds, a wood burning fireplace, dock with paddle boat on two acre pond, access to the Pike River and 20 acres of land for hiking and recreation. Cook in the kitchen or over the outdoor fire pit. Enjoy a wood-fired sauna and cool off with a dip in the pond. Bring a fishing rod and catch dinner out of the pond or the river! No running water but indoor composting toilet and a rain barrel/sink.
There is no running water at the camp. There is a rain barrel and outdoor sink for dishes, hand washing, and rinsing off. There is a composting toilet in the cabin with specific directions for use.
The camp seems off-the-grid, but it is located just 12 minutes driving from Michigan Tech University, the town of Houghton, abundant restaurants, shopping, and things to do -- but most importantly, the gateway to the Keweenaw!
  • Had an amazing time at little cabin. Luke is really super host! We did so much in 3 full days. Best hiking trails and gorges Lake Superior. Cabin is very tiny but has everything you need. Hope to come back soon.

    Audra2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place and location! The host, Luke, was very easy to communicate with. Being minutes from town but still having the peace and seclusion of the outdoors was perfect. Our dog loved the pond and the path back to the river. Will be booking next time we head up this way.

    Dan2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Super lovely! Perfect for a couples getaway

    Nolan2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful tiny home by a beautiful pond on a beautiful piece of property. Luke had the woodpile stocked for us and the house had plenty of amenities for cooking and comfort. Highly recommended!

    Ben2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • We found Luke’s place when all the hotels were booked up in Houghton. We were nervous about staying in a place with a compost toilet and no running water, but thought we’d be adventurous and give it a try. So glad we did! The place is so cool from it's unique design and high-quality construction to the beautiful pond and property. We quickly acclimated to the compost toilet which was easy to use. Same with the wood burning stove/heater which quickly warmed up the place. As for showering, I ended up getting a day pass to work out at the MTU Student Development Center so problem solved! Luke was an EXCELLENT host who checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed. Really appreciated that the place was heated and the lights were on when we first arrived in the late evening. Luke also made sure to install a part to the sauna before our stay which we unfortunately didn’t end up using (next time!). He had great suggestions for what to do and even connected us with his friend at the A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum at MTU (a must see!) when we asked about agate hunting tips. We would happily glamp again at this cute, clean, and cozy place!

    Jenny2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Luke's Airbnb is one of the most unique and cool places I've ever gotten to stay. The tiny home was really cozy, the outdoor firepit was great, and the paddle boat on the pond was a lot of fun. I highly recommend checking this place out. Looking forward to my next visit.

Please, NO snowmobiles or snowmobile gear on the property. Our cozy oasis is within two miles of Michigan Tech, Downtown Houghton, fabulous biking, hiking and ski trails and within 11 miles of Mt. Ripley, the Quincy Mine, and the Houghton County airport. If the location wasn’t enough, you’ll love our place because it’s super cozy, and you get the whole house - so it’s private, too! We welcome couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families, and friends!
Sleeping: As a 1900s era mining home, the upstairs used to consist of 3 very small bedrooms. The entire upstairs was opened up into a single loft style room featuring a new Restonic (Made in the UP!) Queen size bed and a twin bed. The living room features a pull out couch with an acceptable mattress (better than the floor). Also a brand new smart tv (access to Netflix, YouTube, etc) with DVD player and small collection of movies. Kitchen: Eat-in kitchen with sink, full-size fridge, microwave, small crockpot, coffee maker & full-size stove. The fridge is stocked with basics (ketchup, mustard, etc) and we also provide complimentary coffee and tea. Front Porch: An enclosed front porch is great for enjoying a morning cup of coffee in the summer or storing bikes and skis when not in use. Smoking: Smoking is not allowed in the house or on the property. Child Proof: Two baby gates will be provided upon request at least one day prior to arrival. Yard: A quarter acre lot with plenty of room for the young ones to run around.
Located a short walk from the Michigan Tech Trail's Mill Rd Trailhead. Perfect for mountain bikers and skiers looking for easy access to the trails.
  • Nina’s place is stylish, clean, and retro with plenty of space. We really enjoyed our stay!

    Theo2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Cheery little house with great location. Extremely close to Houghton but off the main highway so no traffic noise. Can walk to the trail head and have miles and miles of hiking available. Extremely responsive and friendly hosts. Can't wait to stay again.

    Donia2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice, comfy small home. It was clean and had everything we needed. We especially appreciated staying in an old mining house, given the history of the region. It has been updated, but has nods to its historic past. Although the location has a “woodsy” feel, it is only 5 min from the MTU campus.

    Barb And Lauri2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is my favorite place to stay in Houghton. The house is a perfect home base, and Nina and Eric are terrific hosts.

    Shawn2019-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great house that’s close to MTU! We absolutely loved our stay here. Hopefully another trip to Houghton is in the cards for the future so we can stay again. Thanks Nina and family !

    Freddie2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Nina’s house was perfect for our snowboarding trip to Mount Bohemia. The amenities were great. The beds were comfortable with plenty of extra pillows and blankets. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom. The kitchen is big and has anything you might need. The WiFi worked super well. The tv was a smart tv and was nice for relaxing after snowboarding. Nina was very accommodating. We had to change the dates of our trip due to lack of snow. She was prompt with her response and with no questions asked. I would definitely recommend Nina’s house and would stay there again!

    Chloe2019-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • This house was great for our trip to the area. The host provided everything we needed for a successful stay. It was super clean and they had tons of resources whether it was cookware, cleaning supplies or extra towels. The heat worked great and we were comfortable in the dead of winter. I would stay there again and I think it was valued fairly.

    Nik2019-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Truly a great little cabin. They upgraded the TV to a large flatscreen smart TV which was a nice surprise. WiFi works great! Large floor space upstairs, perfect if you are traveling with a group of friends who each want their own bed (bring air mattresses).

A fully equipped ready to live in 1 bedroom apartment, with full kitchen, one block from the snowmobile trail in downtown Hancock - I regularly ride from the house to the miles of trails. It is a 2nd story apartment with a small balcony. One block to the best restaurant/bar in town, Gino's Restaurant, and two and a half blocks the other direction to Portage Lake. The 4 unit building is very quiet, at the end of a dead end street, with a church yard next door. 30 day minimum rental.
My fraternity brother, Jeff, is the on-site manager of the building, and lives downstairs in apt 1. There are serious students and retired folks living in the building, so it is very quiet - no parties - We are walking distance to several bars and restaurants which are all open late.
We are at the west end of Hancock, on block behind the best restaurant in town, Gino's Restaurant, and 2.5 blocks to Portage Lake the other direction. There are a slew of bars and restaurants within walking distance to the house, as we are on the edge of downtown. The downtown portion of the snowmobile trail is one block from the house!

Quincy View apartment is 2-3 blocks from downtown Houghton. It is one unit in a complex. It’s a quiet building with limited parking. The apartment is a ground floor apartment, so it is not necessary to climb stairs unless you need to use the laundry facilities. The laundry room is located in the basement of the building, with 2 coin operated washers/2 dryers available. The two bedroom apartment is 740 square feet in total. It has an open floor plan between the living room/kitchen.
This apartment is located in a quiet building. It is located on the ground floor just as you enter the building.

The space is so much more than just a place to sleep...there is room for relaxing, dining and/or working. Spacious floor plan includes a queen bedroom, dining area with a dorm size fridge, microwave & coffee bar, living room with couch, chair & recliner, cable tv & Roku. Bathroom with shower (in the sauna). This is in the lower level of our family home. Upon entering the home through the garage, the stairway to your secluded area is only 5 steps away. Sorry but no snowmobilers.
This is a great space for those who would like more than a hotel or bedroom. There is plenty of area to move around, have desk space, brew a cup of coffee, relax in the recliner and catch the evening news, or cozy in the chair with a good book. Whether you're here for business or enjoyment, you are sure to be comforted in this welcoming atmosphere. *Note that guests will use the same entrance as the homeowner's. Enter on the main level of the home, but you're only steps away from your own secluded space ( basement of family home). Sorry but no snowmobilers.
Safe and professional neighborhood located within 1/2 mile from the hospital, schools, grocery store and ski trails. Finlandia University is about a mile away, and MTU is 3 miles away. Plenty of great restaurants within 1-5 miles.
