Haruo-Sen is very kind, he drived us from the JR station to his house. We are so sorry that we were lated for 2 hours due to traffic accident. Haruo-san's house was much more than what I expected. If anybody likes a traditional Japanese house with Onsen, hot spring bath (who doesn't?), this is the place for you. The house is set in a very quiet area and if the weather is good, the garden is also lovely place to day dreaming. We are a family of four, it was plenty of space for everybody. The host Haruo-san was very kind and a gentle man. We relied on all his information about restaurants and things to do this area, and we had a lovely time in his town and around. We would love to come back again!

Worth the stay for a private onsen alone. It's a very big house and garden attached. Harou was kind enough to leave fruit, suggested we attend a festival with resulting late check out. Easy walk from the train station with obligitory mall. There are three recycle shops in town of you are into (perfect) used luxury goods. Very small selection of ceramics. Maybe difficult to get to them without a car but worth the experience. Harada sushi is highly recommended. Lots of restaurants etc close by.

Absolutely wonderful hosts! Mrs Furuya is engaging and friendly, and was even kind enough to drive us to a nearby town with an excellent view of Mount Fuji. I could not recommend this accommodation more. From start to finish it was easily the best experience I have had with air Bnb. May is an amazing host. She picked us up from the station as her house is in a secluded area, and went the extra mile to ensure we had a great time. May and her husband were kind enough to drive us to the shiba Sakura festival, which had been at the top of my Japan bucket list. They also took us to the oldest winery in the prefecture for a tasting, and to a pagoda with fantastic views of Mount Fuji. Later that evening, we were surprised to receive a fantastic feast of sushi, tempura and other Japanese treats. If you are looking for a change of pace from Japan's big cities, and a tranquil couple of days experiencing the local produce and lifestyle then look no further!!

My friend Amy and I had an amazing time at Kazue's inn - it was the best part of our trip so far! Kazue is a welcoming and generous host - she cooked incredible Japanese breakfasts and dinners for us every day and took extra care to suit our dietary requirements. We really enjoyed learning about the region's produce and meal preparation with Kazue - including local grapes, noodles and peaches! She took us to the local onsen and recommended some nearby hikes around waterfalls, which was a highlight. The beds in the loft were comfy and clean, and the old inn had lots of character. Staying at Kazue's inn was a unique experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for a genuine and sincere Japanese homestay.

Kazue was a fantastic host and went out of her way to help me get around and see the parts of the area I was interested in. Very nice curry and breakfast noodles too. The room was quiet and peaceful in the old building.

Kazue was incredibly accommodating, and helpes us feel extremely welcome. We stayed for three nights and our favourite part was the food. As other reviewers have mentioned it is VERY cold in the lovely old house. I figured mid April would be warm enough so didn't pack any of my cold weather clothes... big mistake. If you do stay and you packed light, request the room upstairs, which is a loft above the kitchen/dining area. It is charming, and offers a small living area with a couch and tables that offer a bit more privacy than downstairs. Speaking of actual privacy, if you are looking for some here, you will not find it. We took it as part of the experience and that made it much easier! The walls are (literally) paper thin and the loft is half open to the house. We met other travellers and played cards, it was almost like a camping trip. If you don't like bright natural light waking you up in the morning bring a sleeping mask. Kazue was such a great cook, huge breakfasts and dinners (we weren't there for lunches). And she went out of her way to find a birthday cake and even gave a present!

Yoshida-san and his wife, everyone of help is also a very kind, I was able to spend a very pleasant. Very authentic local building. Kazue According to reports, more than 300 years of history. Housing is very clean and meticulous care because Kazue and her gracious easy-going personality make the house more welcoming. I stayed two days, take the time to really reluctant. Kazue like a kindly grandmother treated like hotel guests and volunteers to come and help. Kazue no problem to communicate in English, and grandmother to do dishes absolutely super star! The house is an antique. It's a traditional Japanese house, very unique. We enjoyed staying there. Although it's a bit far from the train station, but the owner will pick you. The food prepared by Kazue was delicious and fresh. Its worth the price.

This was one of my best airbnb experiences so far. The hosts are extremely warm people that will go out of their way to help you out, take care of you and they are so happy to have you visit them. I have read all the nice reviews about them before booking, but staying in their house was much more than that. They gave our japan trip an extra layer of knowing the culture, feeling like we were one of them, one of their family members, living with them. I would say that it is a must to stay in their house if you are in the area, they are so welcoming and heartwarming people, that you will ever find.

May was an incredible host! Aside from the fact that she's near the hospital I'll be going to, she even offered to drive me and my family going to different places. Her husband and son were really cool and fun to be with. I would definitely come back and stay at her place if ever I go back to Yamanashi. Home away from home. Also, since I'm a Filipina and can only speak Tagalog and English, she can very well understand me when I talk to her in English and learns fast as well. She cooks delicious cakes! Her family appreciates me cooking for them for 2 days and would recommend other future guests to cook also! Bonding with May's family will definitely complete your whole stay!

They were responsive and accommodating and picked us up from the station whenever we planned to arrive. Though the house is far from the nearest station and from any shops or sights, it is truly a place where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of Yamanashi. :) The price includes two meals and a winery & hot spring tour in the area, and is very much worthwhile!

Kazue knows how to welcome guests. She's full of sollicitude and eager to help travellers get the best from their stay in her home. She has shown great flexibility and volunteered to drive us with her car anytime we had to go to Kai-Yamato station. She's cooking great indian food. I was allowed to night with Italian friends. Astray, we had arrived late, but Mashi Kudasari greeted with a nice smile. The road to the place and tourist you want to place to eat rice also will teach polite, it was very helpful. Apartment is in a very convenient location, close to Kofu station, shopping, food places and the great lookout to see Fuji. The bed was very comfortable. The host's Aunt lives next door and she makes an (optional) delicious and healthy breakfast. She is available to help with any questions and is very kind and friendly. The room is very large with dining table. It is very clean and modern. Like most apartments, there is a small set of steep stairs at the entrance. We were very happy with our experience.
