We've been hosted at Casa da Timpeira for one month. The house is fantastic. It dates from 1396, but don't you think the things are old. Everything in the house is brand new. We stayed in the smallest apartment in the house: a bedroom/living room, a small kitchen and a bathroom. Everything you need. There is Internet and TV. Margarida and her husband are very nice. We highly recommend the place. Would go there again when we go back to Vila Real.

My stay at Margarida's house has been a enchanting experience, a parenthesis of peace, quiet and a cozyness and relaxing home during a busy business trip. I was warmly welcomed by Alcida (housekeeper) who looked after me wonderfully and caring-ly. I can't thank her enough for her efforts to make me feel at home at all times! The studio I was allocated had everything one could possibly need to feel comfortable, have a lovely night sleep, prepare some breakfast, get ready to work and at the same time feel like you are on a country side holiday. Furthermore the house is very conveniently located close to a bus stop that takes you to town in minutes. I look forward to coming back to Casa Timpeira for a longer leisure stay and enjoy this wonderful quinta and its surroundings to the full. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness!

Traditional and spacious family property near the center of Vila Real, with tranquility and hospitality for moments of rest in the nature. The place has all the convenience of a modern house, with lots of greenery and nature. Good dining options a few meters on foot. Agnes is very attentive to small details and made us feel at home for a few days of rest.

The apartment in Vila Real was as described in the write up and more. It is in a little oasis beside the highway and within the town allowing easy access and nearby restaurants and shops. We were treated by Ines and her team and made to feel very welcome. The little shop on the site selling local produce and wonderful wine produced by Ines's father was really useful as was the warm bread outside our door every morning. The location of the property is great for exploring the Duoro Valley and the nearby Natural Park with their fantastic views and panoramas. It was lovely to come back to a refreshing dip in the pool after a day sight seeing.

What a wonderful experience. We were made so welcome by the staff. This is such a wonderful retreat and the honesty shop is very handy. We would recommend this as a great place to stay.

Home very nice, in a relaxing setting. Wood was ready in the fireplace, bread hanging on our door every morning, very clean and functional accommodation. Of great availability and kindness. We had maps to help us in our journey, which made it so easy things.

We were kindly received by Ines, who gave us great tips on what to do in Vila Real and surroundings. The apartment was spacious, cozy and quiet.

The fifth is simply wonderful and very helpful hosts at all levels. We were in the mill house we found super clean with a modern rustic decor very welcoming. The salamander gave the finishing touch to all the surroundings of the house. I recommend to families and couples. The inês was extremely helpful. Thank you very much for everything and come back safely!

We had a cottage for two at Ines' place and really enjoyed our stay. The house is clean, cozy and the surroundings are beautiful! There is a small shop nearby where you can get local products and a pool to swim, the amazing Douro valley is not far so you can visit many vineries or go hiking. The people here are very friendly and helpful.

The hostel was as nice as it seemed in the photos. The room was really tiny but good for a one night stay. Everything was nice and clean.

Endroit bien tenu, bien placé et d'un bon rapport qualité prix Attention au bruit car chambres petites et mal insonorisées Eviter les chambres à 2 lits superposés (4 couchages) : elles sont à peine plus grandes qu'une couchette de train en 1ère classe ...) Serviettes de toilettes payantes ! Sinon personnel et accueillant (à noter qu'une des empolyées ne parlait que le portugais)

Fernando we could call once we were in the neighborhood. He immediately came to the complex! We were very surprised, even though we had seen the photographs, the large space that we could engage and then the wall art. Great! What can you tell this guy !! All tips for going and interested in what you plan and this fit into his story. We have also made good use hoervan. We definitely plan to come back again and then again with Fernando! What delighted with the wonderful nature is there! Great! Grandiose experience so!

We were disappointed with this accommodation. The apartment is large and comfortable but the humidity is felt in the bathrooms and it's really disturbing. If you want to rest it is quite noisy just roadside. It was announced on the announcement nice for families that really is not the case because there is only a decathlon in front and a neighbor who has a dog that barks all the time. We're pretty disappointed with this experience. In addition, the host does not move is a person who works just below that will give you the keys.

We spent four days very nice ... It was extremely hot the pool allowed us to freshen up. The house is very big and can really easily accommodate 10 people. The hot water sometimes was a little unusual but it has not been a big problem

Terrific host, was awaiting our stay perfect at all times, fretting from the first moment that we not missing anything. The house is a joy, large and located near the water parks, ideal for escape to relax with family or friends. Definitely a place I would repeat without hesitation and a host that is 100% recommended. The next time you think of going back, do not hesitate and we will contact Joaquim to return to his magnificent home. Until next time!!

Very nice place, the children loved the special beds with the curtains! Also good common spaces, big living room, and comfortable terrace to sit outside. Very friendly.

First off, the staff was very nice. They are welcoming and have the formula to succeed. This is a pretty much a new hostile. The place is clean, cozy in a nice quiet area. The Wi-Fi is very fast. Toilets are clean. I recommend it to whoever wants to stay in the beautiful Vila real town.

Que du bonheur ce séjour chez Manuella et Cátia :) le lieux est très agréable, très propre, le jardin est super bien aménagé, un régal pour s'offrir un moment de pose " bouquin café". On rencontre des voyageurs de toutes nationalités ce qui donne un attrait supplémentaire. Je conseil de faire un trekking dans le parc naturel, c'est António qui vous servira de guide, c'est un amoureux de la nature, demandez à Manuella ou Cátia elles prendront rdv pour vous. Manuella parle très bien français ce qui facilite les choses. c'est un lieux d'échange riche en tout !!
