Great location, right in the center front of the town but very quiet. The parking is convenient. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and new. The heating is very efficient and also the wi-fi connection. We had a great time and will be back for sure. Alessandra and her staff were very kind. Perfect for families with children. Baceno is a small town nestled in the Italian Alps. The Casa Fattorini hosted by Alessandra is located above her family restaurant. She and her staff were very warm and welcoming. The one bedroom apartment was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. We spent 5 days in Baceno, exploring the mountains and country side. Within a short distance there is one of Europe's largest waterfall, a beautiful glacial gorge, nature parks and multiple walking trails. As a bonus, Alessandra's restaurant had great food, one of the best pizzas of our trip! Definately a great place to stay and a great base for exploring the Italian Alps.

Hosts were very friendly and kind. For us there was douple booking but everything end up very well, when they arranged a new apartment for us. I recommend this place for all!

L'alloggio è in perfette condizioni e corrisponde in toto a quanto descritto sul sito. È fornito di tutto e vi sono due bagni, di cui uno con doccia. La scala segnalata x accedere all'appartamento è comunque tenuta perfettamente. Il giardino è piccolo, ma fruibile. La casa si trova in un contesto tranquillo, e da lì ci si sposta agevolmente in zone da cui partono sentieri o dove sono presenti attrazioni. Causa qualche giorno di brutto tempo, abbiamo comunque raggiunto facilmente sia il lago Maggiore che il lago d'Orta e la ferrovia della Val Vigezzo. Esperienza ottima.

Margheritas house in the heart of charming Varzo village is cosy, a little old-fashioned -- and very Italian. We loved it. We had everything we needed: A very nice kitchen with a gas stove, pots and pans, a fridge and of course two Bialettis. :) There is a nice, sealed-off patio with a table and two deck chairs. You get a lot of sun, but there is also a beautiful shady area with a roof of grape vines. The house has 3 floors: On the first there is the patio, the kitchen and a little toilet. On the second you will find a cute little living room; and on the third there is the bedroom and a bathroom. A little supermarket is in walking-area, as is the train station and a couple of nice little restaurants. Domodossola, the next big Italian city, is 20 minutes by train, Brig (Switzerland) 25 minutes. Recommended!

Varzo is a small town but for those of us who like a bit of trekking around is perfect as there are many paths with places to see very unique and spectacular. Also very close to the super-equipped facilities of St. Dominic for those who like to ski. Needless to say, the house is really beautiful spacious and spotless. The apartment is lovely and secluded, it restored not long and well cared for, even better than it appears from the photos (which lacks the nice entrance terrace and bathroom fitted with new). You can get there on foot to a small road in the village, surrounded by typical mountain homes. By Erica we readily agreed to the time and place to meet at my arrival. Listen to his advice please! The area is beautiful and Croveo is right on the road to Alpe Devero, where start beautiful hikes between steps and mountains, huts and refuges, streams and ponds. But in the area you can find much more: the Uriezzo gorges, the waterfall del Toce, Formazza Valley and if you want to relax after a day of hiking you can not miss the Baths of Premia. L'appartamento é un po' piccolo e non molto luminoso, non c'è un divano o una poltrona dove rilassarsi o leggere. La scala interna é ripida non adattissima a bambini piccoli.

We stayed for two weeks in the charming chalet and felt very at home. The house is very nicely renovated and was well prepared. We haven't used the generator at all, there is absolutely no need for: - a fridge if you cook fresh products/rize a.s.o.; - electric light if you go early to bed and use candles; - electric stove if you cook on the grill or casseroles in the wood stove inside when it rains; - electricity for smartphones or tablets if you do a digital-detox or reload your phones when you go eating in one of the excellent restaurants in the surrounding area. Besides the culinary highlights, you can find wonderful promenade and hiking tours in and around montecrestese, people all around are very kind and there are different locations where you can buy excellent food (Panetteria, Macelleria and Alimentari in Masera, Alimentari in Pontetto). Our conclusion: The charming chalet is definitively worth more than one trip!

The site and the property are gorgeous. Personally we had a problem with electricity and gas, but once resolved by the host is a must-try experience.

This charming chalet is really in the middle of nowhere. It's dated around 1800 but has been very nicely renovated. Modern yet with respect for the original building. Especially the bathrooms are very nice. Hot water worked without any issues, but you really need to be aware of, that the generator is the only provider of electricity. We knew this, however it needs to run some hours a day in order to keep the fridge cold. And the generator is noisy and smoggy. We enjoyed our stay away from internet and close to the forest animals!

The 'charming chalet' is a wonderful place to be, even more beautiful then the pictures show. The place is really quiet and the view is great. Unfortunately we had some trouble with gas & electricity, but Patrizia was very helpfull. We hope to get back there once again!

The room was spacious and very clean. Everything was described as on the pictures. The view from the balcony is really enjoyable, and the surroundings nature beautiful. Angela and Aldo also welcome me very warmfully. It did not bother me, but you have to know that a restaurant is located on the first floor, so that it can be noisy late in the night (up to 1am) during the weekend.

Good place for a stop over, just before crossing the Alpes. Angela, her sister and their mother were all very kind and welcoming. The place is basic, but has a good view of the mountains. All in all a pleasant stay.

Loredana's chalet is fantastic! Her ad does not do it justice, and her hospitality was outstanding. Both her and Roberto were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The chalet itself is absolutely charming and cozy and very well appointed, with so many hand crafted elements. The area is gorgeous and peaceful. We spent our time watching the weather roll in down the valley. The drive to Trasquerda is pleasant and on good roads. The last kilometer to Loredana's place is unpaved, but easily manageable for most cars (and no problem for our dual sport motorcycles). The chalet is perfect for those looking for a home-base for exploring the local area and its many hiking opportunities, or those looking for a peaceful retreat.

Loredana and her husband were amazing hosts. They made all they could to make our trip unforgettable: they gave us advices for things to do around, they offered us some food specialties etc. The chalet was beautiful and lovely, all made in wood inside, with an amazing view on the mountains. The plus was the jaccuzzi on the terrasse. We will definitely return :)

I went to many Airbnb in the past years and this is probably the best one I have never been! A wonderful place to switch off! We were traveling by car. Paolo and Manuela have sent us a route and picked up at the agreed location with their car to transport our luggage. From there one can not continue without 4WD, but can park and walk to the house. The house is next to the house of Paolo and Manuela on the last property of an alp. Paolo and Manuela are very pleasant, reserved and at the same time attentive hosts and neighbors. Her dog Nala is very balanced and friendly. The house has been restored and furnished with great attention to detail; We found it even nicer than in the photos. Even our Maya Foursome was well received, especially by their joyful and balanced Nala dog. My husband and I spent two days of real detachment from the chaos of the city, it is a place that reshapes the physical and the soul. There is no TV and the telephone network sometimes comes.

Il luogo ideale per "staccare la spina". Paolo e la sua famiglia sono persone discrete ma sempre disponibili. La baita è ben curata e dotata di tutto il necessario. Fortunatamente mancano orologio e TV, qui il tempo si ferma e vi permette di assaporare quella vita di cui magari avete solo sentito parlare dal racconto di qualche persona anziana. Ogni tanto è salutare non affidarsi ai mille pulsanti che ci circondano, sei hai freddo non si interagisce con il termostato ma si accende la legna nella stufa. Noi siamo stati 5 giorni e per scelta non abbiamo nemmeno usato la macchina. Abbiamo apprezzato camminare 2 ore per bere un caffè (Trasquera) e 4 per mangiare una pizza (San Domenico). La valle è ricca di escursioni da fare e alcune partono proprio dietro la baita. Ringraziamo ancora Paolo e famiglia per aver reso possibile tutto questo. Fausto e Daniela.

Paolo e Manuela sono stati degli host gentilissimi, ci hanno persino offerto dei funghi del bosco raccolti quel giorno stesso da Paolo! La baita è stupenda, immersa nella natura e completa di tutte le comodità. Si perde veramente la concezione del tempo durante questo splendido soggiorno. Il tepore della stufa vicino al tavolo dove si cena ti accompagna in un dolce sonno ed al mattino si è di nuovo pronti per ripartire! Nonostante Paolo e Manuela siano i "vicini di casa", sono abbastanza riservati, ma sempre disponibili per una chiacchierata che ci ha permesso di conoscere la loro movimentata vita! Nala, cane dolcissimo, voleva sempre giocare con Giuditta... Peccato che lei pensasse solo ai legnetti! Insomma un weekend sicuramente indimenticabile sia per il luogo (ci sono molti posti belli nelle vicinanze che sarebbe un peccato non vedere), che per l'ospitalità; infatti Giuditta ha già deciso di voler ritornare l'anno prossimo! Che luogo incantevole! Non potevamo scegliere un alloggio migliore. L'accoglienza di Manuela e Paolo, la posizione della baita, il modo in cui l'hanno ristrutturata, la cura per ogni dettaglio - dalle lampade agli appendiabiti - la scelta dei materiali, la cucina praticissima e perfettamente attrezzata, i letti comodissimi, la pulizia impeccabile, la fontana appenna innaugurata e la cagnolina Nala hanno fatto in modo che potessimo sentirci più che a casa e ci hanno permesso di godere a pieno della nostra vacanza e delle montagne bellissime di queste valli. L'odore del legno, il fuoco la sera nella stufa ci hanno permesso di colmare interamente la nostra nostalgia per la montagna! Abbiamo fatto passeggiate meravigliose sia da casa che in alta montagna, abbiamo raccolto in quantità mirtilli, lamponi e fragoline sia lungo il cammino verso casa che nei boschi circostanti, le alpi lepontine ci hanno sorpreso per la loro richezza d'acqua, per la varietà della flora e della fauna, per gli alpeggi ancora simili a come erano una volta, per l'autenticità e lo scarso turismo. Siamo andati alle terme, abbiamo raggiunto in poco tempo la Svizzera e le valli vicine. I bambini erano entusiasti di tutto e non li ho mai visti apprezzare così tanto la montagna! Manuela e Paolo sono due padroni di casa perfetti: esperti conoscitori della montagna, sempre pronti a darci preziosi suggerimenti se richiesti o ad aiutarci quando necessario, pazienti nei confronti del chiasso dei bimbi, discreti, generosi. Consigliamo a tutti di prenotare la casetta nel bosco, è un luogo raro come non se ne trovano molti. Grazie a Manuela, Paolo e Nala, certamente torneremo!

We felt in this beautiful apartment in the mountains right from the start very well. The small village high above Crodo has a wonderful charm. A small shop is within easy reach. Paola and her husband are very friendly and helpful. In the apartment everything was what we needed. If you like it quiet and lonely is the right place. The ascent of Monte Cistella is a great experience for (very) persistent hikers.

We so enjoyed our comfortable stay in the quaint cottage in Cravegna. A town with so much charm. Our arrival was very informative - about the appliances, washer, hikes around town and dinner places nearby. We brought groceries and made two nice meals to enjoy in the quaint surroundings. Their attention to details of our needs was perfect. The wifi worked well.

La casa è molto bella e la vista avrete dal giardino anteriore è semplicemente mozzafiato. Ezio e Donatella sono l'incarnazione di ospitalità. Sarete base perfetta per conoscere i migliori luoghi delle Alpi italiane. Prodotti tipici e locali sono a 5 minuti. Se si vuole conoscere e sentire l'anima delle montagne italiane, è necessario stare al "Galetto".

The house is perfect, very quaint but with many comforts of city life as the new bathroom, television, modern stoves and in the plans of the owners even a renewal of the fireplace! The view was unique, to surround the house having a small fountain and all around an unmissable landscape, not to mention the night sky ..;) Home flawless, precise and warm. Ezio and Donatella have proven extremely flexible and available. No flaw, a dream!

It 'was a wonderful holiday though short unfortunately. The house is beautiful, and warm typical corresponding to the description. It does not miss anything, there's even a pizza oven and a small vegetable garden, very useful. The landscape surrounding the lodge is wonderful. My children have scoured with their friends in peace and freedom. Night sleep with the silence of nature, broken only by the gush of the fountain, it is fantastic. The environment is very relaxing and very nice neighbors. The hospitality and friendliness of the owners was amazing. We found so much peace and serenity. Thanks for everything Donatella and Ezio, you were really welcoming, you have welcomed at home not as tenants but as guests and it is a rare thing. Thank you, see you soon.

The house is on a mountain in a beatiful forest and near great hikes. It is heated by fireplaces and there is a pizza oven outside. The little house is great for people that want to relax, hike and enjoy the the nature.

Il Galletto is a wonderful little house in the mountains. We spent marvelous days there. Donatella and Ezio were very helpful and kind, always ready to give us hints what to discover in their beautiful region. A highlight was the pizza we were able to make in the wood oven in front of the house!

We thank Paola for the trip it was really nice for us and we thank her for her availability and her service she is a nice person. The studio was clean and very comfortable. All requirements (food, places to visit etc.) are close to the studio. We met kind people to the village too and have spent great time !

Paola is an extraordinary host with a very warm personality. She was super helpful throughout our stay in Crodo! We loved staying in this place: very clean, comfortable and practical studio, located right next to the bus stop, bakery, grocery store and bank. The Ossola mountains are beautiful and our stay couldn't have been better. Five stars! Thank you Paola, we hope to come back another time!

We had a lovely time in (EMAIL HIDDEN)fortable, cosy and clean, Paola suggested a wonderful little hiking activity that we would never have known about...we wish we had stayed longer! And will definitely return...

Located on the ground-floor next to the street, the more modern than traditional flat seems to be a perfect drop-in location for day-tours. We used it as a pitstop coming from southern italy holidays and decided to come back for hiking somedays. Paolo was nice and had good tips for trips arround the area.

E' stato un vero piacere soggiornare presso l'alloggio di Paola, una persona davvero disponibile e molto simpatica che insieme al figlio Andrea ci hanno accolti come fossimo di casa. Il monolocale è davvero accogliente, pulito, con tutto il mobilio nuovo e dotato di tutto ciò che serve. Ci siamo trovati veramente bene! Il paesino, Crodo, è immerso nel verde e rappresenta un punto di appoggio strategico per tutti gli amanti della montagna che vogliono organizzare escursioni nei dintorni. Torneremo sicuramente come ospiti di Paola!
