Nicole met my friend and I at the ferry dock, wagon and all. She greeted us and gave us the lowdown en route to the house. The room is off the deck and separate from the house. It's private and there's a room next to it with a fridge so you can place perishables or chill a bottle of wine. There are games and cards, plenty of utensils including plastic cups, plates etc. There's an AC unit in room and an outdoor shower just outside it (very private)! Room is equipped and fully stocked with beach towels, sunblock (in case you forget which I of course, I did), shower towels and soap/shampoo etc. Nicole and her husband were very nice and super accommodating. The location was also amazing, literally a stone throw from the beach. Lastly, there's Oscar a fun little rescue Dachshund. I'm a big dog kind of gal, but this little guy kept us entertained and tugged at my heart! PS, get the lobster Dinner special from Schooner in. Great stay and great people!

I visited Nicole's lovely home with my sister for a weekend in August. Nicole was extremely communicative prior to arrival with easy to follow directions. Once we arrived, she was so welcoming and shared great information about Fire Island! The room was very comfortable and private. Has everything you need at a beach house (chairs, towels, sunscreen, etc) Plus the house is steps from the beach! Would definitely recommend.

Nicole and her family are wonderful hosts. They are very welcoming and make you feel at home. The house is a couple of steps to the beach and a 20 minute walk into town. The room is clean and comfortable with a/c and wifi. They have the cutest little playful dog Oscar! I definitely wil be coming back!

Nicole and Patrick were amazing hosts; we felt like we were staying with family. The home is located steps away from the beach and you can fall asleep to the sounds of waves crashing. The home is easy to get to (5 min. walk from ferry) and they provide bicycles to navigate the island and beach chairs/ towels if needed. Overall we had such a good experience and we will be back hopefully soon!

Our stay was perfect! Nicole and her husband Patrick made us both feel so welcome and our room was quaint and very private. There is an amazing outdoor shower right next to the bedroom. Honestly the best outdoor shower I've ever been in! They have an adorable little dog named Oscar who is very well behaved and friendly. He goes swimming in his own little pool! There's a huge enclosed deck with lovely flowers and comfy furniture for lounging about and relaxing. The little town of Ocean Bay Park was such a convenient location because it was only a 5-10 minute bike ride to the larger town of Ocean Beach where most of the shops and restaurants are located. She gave us great recommendations on where to eat and there was a really fun bar/restaurant right on bay (Schooners) down the street with good food and lots of live music. Very islandy feel and casual. Nicole was there for us any time we had questions or needed anything! Not that we needed anything because she supplied everything you could possibly need.... sunblock, bug spray, beach towels, chairs, umbrellas even a beach bag. I would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be going back!

This is the perfect house for enjoying all that Fire Island offers --- an easy walk from the ferry, close to shops if you need anything, but tucked on to a quiet street half way between the bay and the beach. The decks and the outdoor shower are amazing, the bikes are great, the bedrooms very comfortable, and the kitchen is well-equipped to support grilling etc. It was our first trip to Fire Island and our whole family had a good time.

This house was perfect! The close proximity to the beach and short walk to the town made our stay very comfortable. There was a good amount of room for our party of 6, and the living room was great for everyone to hangout it. The outdoor shower was definitely the best part of the house!

Cozy room!

Our stay at Seashore Condo Motel was wonderful! Our room felt like a cabin with all the wooden walls. It was very clean and comfortable. The view from the terrace was beautiful. There is plenty of space to hang out in the common areas. We even worked there a little bit. Loved the outdoor shower - such a cool feature! Jeremy was very helpful and accommodating. The island is beautiful and quiet off season (second half of September). Our simple bikes from the motel were perfect for cruising around. Off season, there aren't many options for hanging out in Ocean Bay Park (Schooner Inn didn't have any options for food after 10pm), but Ocean Beach had plenty and with great views and food (again, no food past 10pm, but before - quite a few. We really enjoyed Island Mermaid. Maguire's was also good and stayed open late-ish by local standards on Sunday).

This house is indeed steps from the beach and comfortably slept 12 people. The upper deck is big enough to seat the full group and is quiet and serene, a great spot for hearing the crashing waves. The host was very responsive to issues we came across once we checked in, including a gas tank for the grill that went empty after the first night (once it was replaced the grill worked great) Note that some of the Appliances and fixtures could use a bit of an upgrade and there is no volume on the TV set. The kitchen had ants and the fridge was full of stuff from previous guest, but those were minor issues. We had citronella buckets and bug spray and had no problem with mosquitoes. All in all we really loved the house and the location and it fit our needs completely.

The hosts were very easy to communicate with, and met us at their house to explain all the ins and outs. The house was in a beautiful quite community very close to ocean beach, which made our vacation both very convenient but relaxing and quiet. My only complaint is I wish we could have stayed longer!

Ultimately the host became so obtrusive and would not leave the rental that we had to call 911 and get a uniformed police officer to respond. The remainder of the weekend she was naked outside (within view of my guests) while her 3 children scream and yelled, dog barked and came into the rental until very late (3am) waking up my guests and being a general nuisance. This was not an not the entire house rental in any way and was infact a shared house with very obtrusive and bothersome housemates. It was a truly miserable week thanks to our host. She was in our business and the space like she was not renting it. I consider her pictures and listing to be a fraudulent representation of the rental and should be re-classified, if not removed from Airbnb at least until accurate pictures are posted for what the listing actually looks like. The one bright spot was my fiancé had said yes to my proposal, but the host had already given away the surprise on Friday a few hours before we had to call the police on her.

Gennaro and Loretta introduced us to their whole family, including their very sweet dogs (Red and Jill)! They were incredibly accommodating and welcoming with providing tips about the space and area for a group that was going to Fire Island for the first time. The path up to the house is itself quite a sight, as you walk through a bamboo-lined boardwalk. The house had extra surprise amenities that I won't spoil in this review, but suffice to say our group was incredibly lucky to have picked this spot!

Great experience! Awesome property! They Had bikes to take into town a big cart for shopping and luggage awesome host was very accommodating! They even let us use the outdoor shower a few hours after checkout which was nice to get that extra beach time. The house was roomy and spotless and modern and pristine! Great layout! Beautiful location, easy access to the beach and town! Amazing rooftop views of both the bay and the ocean. The house is perfect for large groups. We held a family reunion there with 12 people and the open space was great. There was plenty of hot water. However, the rental was worn and needs repair and TLC. There was no storage space in bedrooms so you can't unpack. Kitchen was filled with other people's' food and drinks which caused ants and moths to take up residence as well. Loved the spot but I would not rent it again.

The house was very nice, slept 10 people as promised. Great porch, comfortable lounge chairs, grill that's slow to heat up initially but then worked great. Excellent location, not too far from town and very close to the beach. Big dining room table, big comfortable living room with a few couches that fit everyone at once. This house is great for a group setting, but the owners are very overly conscious of their renters being respectful, quiet if they're outside after 10 pm, and not "frat like" bc it sounds like they've had bad experiences prior to our stay. So if you're wild partiers this isn't the place for you. Also, the contact info on this page is slightly inaccurate - the person at the phone number here is not incredibly responsive, much better to contact Loretta (they will give you her number when you reserve) - she was incredibly nice and very responsive. She checked in to see how things were going and even offered us to stay an extra night at a discounted rate. Only issues we had was that the family was still there when we arrived even though check-in said 3 pm and I specifically reached out in advance to let them know we would be there at 3 on the dot. The family didn't leave the house until 3:45 and they mentioned that the husband was sleeping in one of the beds while the cleaning crew was there, which led us to believe they didn't clean whatever room he was sleeping in. So that was a slightly uncomfortable experience as we waited there for 45 minutes to have access to the house. Loretta was wonderful to work with, and despite the odd experience when we initially arrived at the house, we had a wonderful time and I would stay here again.

Lisa went out for her way to make sure we had a great vacation in her home. Delighted with both the property and the owner! The property was wonderful, true to the pictures if not nicer. Our group of 5 adults ( 2 parents plus kids 21, 21 and 25) were very comfortable. The home is a great blend of indoor and outdoor space, brilliantly thought out, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. Great outdoor shower, private deck, indoor comforts like individual king beds and all the modern conveniences you could want or need ... just perfect. Plus, all the extra's you need for the beach: chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, etc. What the pictures don't show is how convenient this home is to the beach, town and ferry. Completely private and serene, but a very short walk to the beautiful (uncrowded) beach. Only a short (less than 5 min.) walk to the Seaview ferry and market. And, just a short (less than 10 min.) walk away from Ocean Beach restaurants and shops (and occasionally we biked, so even shorter) -- great if you don't feel like cooking or want a little excursion/social ambiance. Great location! All in all, my family had a delightful beach vacation, and this home was perfect. It was very comfortable, and we will return. About the owner: Lisa is very easy to communicate with and accommodating. Helpful before arrival, with good advice re: parking for the ferry/ferry schedule; gave a helpful tour of the house, offered advice re: local restaurants; allowed use of bikes and wagon. We had a fantastic week in Seaview and the house was perfect for our needs. It was clean, large and perfect for our family of seven. We loved the outside shower, the spacious and comfortable deck, the four bedrooms and four bathrooms. There were plenty of beach chairs, towels, toys, etc. The house was conveniently located to the beach, Seaview market, ocean beach shops and restaurants and the bay. We hope to be back!

This house is totally special and beautifully laid out. Great sun and shade options. Plenty of books, games, puzzles. Lots of lounging space. The amazing kitchen! It is stocked with everything you could want (about 7 strainers, ten mixing bowls, etc) and we ate at home every night of our 8 day stay, wandering into town for dessert. Beds were comfortable. We never had to use AC. I can vouch for workable laundry, dishwasher, fridge, wifi. Shampoo, lotion, etc. stocked in every bathroom, including the outdoor shower. TV options suited our daughter who was thrilled to have six channels on which to watch the tennis matches in Wimbledon. Lisa met us, gave us the basic info, and left. She was always available by text. The Seaview location was delightful. It is quiet and calm. I'd stay here again.

My friends and I had a great time on Fire Island! I spoke with Charles a few days before arriving for our long weekend and he walked me through all of the important details to know if it is your first time visiting the island. He gave clear instructions on which ferry to take, how to get to the house from the ferry, where to find the key, and also offered some restaurant recommendations and allowed us access to their bikes, beach umbrellas etc. The house is really cute and is right on the bay with an amazing deck! It is a very short walk from the ferry and to the beach. We would definitely come back!

Charles is an incredible host. He answered all of my questions and usually in just a few minutes of me sending my email. The check in and check out were simple. The house could not be at a better location. Close enough to the ferry to be an easy walk and far enough away not to be bothered by the noise. I also can't say enough about the view of the bay from the back deck. Most houses on fire island are inland so this water front property is a rare find. Three small rooms but we had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen and outdoor barbecue were easy to use. Ocean Bay Park is a VERY layed back area and the people are all pleasant. Both this home and the island are very dog friendly. You will need a flashlight if you walk out after dark as there are few street lights. The only negatives are things that I mentioned to Charles. Despite what the listing says there is no Satelite or cable tv, there is no working radio and unfortunately there were no working air conditioners while we were there in 80 degree weather in July. During the day there as no relief from the heat in the house but we could sleep with the ceiling fans and windows open at night. I told this to Charles and he informed me that he was going to replace them shortly.

Charles was amazingly responsive and helpful the whole time. The location of the house is perfect. Short walk from the ferry. Lovely weathered wood beach house on the bay. Gorgeous views all times of day. We swam off the dock every morning and evening. The house is stocked with lots of towels, bed linen, and useful things (like beach chairs, or an umbrella for when it rained.) The beach is a very short walk as the house is located at a narrow point on the island. Charles supplies bikes but we rented a couple on our own because we wanted adjustable seats -- the bike place is a couple hundred yards from he house. 3 small bedrooms upstairs, 2 with great bay views. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of closet space. Bathrooms were fine. We used the outdoor shower, which was great. Downstairs, there's plenty of living room space for hanging out in the house. Good size deck for sunning and enjoying the bay view. Great kitchen for cooking, two small grocery stores nearby -- but also lots of restaurants to choose from in Seaview, a short walk or bike ride away. I recommend taking a water taxi to the Sunken Forest for a great day trip -- great nature walk through the forest and the beach there is beautiful and deserted.

Charles is absolutely the nicest host ever––and his beautiful home on the bay is simply stunning. Imagine waking up every morning to coffee, sitting on the back porch looking out over Great South Bay. And when the weather gets warm, jump into the Bay right from the backyard. On top of the views and the location, the house itself is beautiful with a brand new feel to it. Wonderfully cozy and comfortable, yet modern, feel to it. You also get the feeling that Charles and his family are still enjoying the house––this is not just a commercial rental––which makes it all the nicer. This is a real home in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Great location for the best sunsets and gorgeous beaches.

Best deal on the island! If you are looking for a safe, comfortable place to stay on a budget this is it. The space was clean and relatively comfortable. We kept the fold out couch open so don't know how it is as a couch. As a bed it was adequate. I've slept on much worse, could have been a bit thicker - but here I am being picky. The pictures are a good representation of the place. Jeff, the manager, was super nice and extremely accommodating. They have coffee outside and it's an opportunity to chat with the other guests who were all very friendly. They have beach towels, chairs, blankets, an outside shower, and a clothesline to hang your swimsuit to dry. Ferry is moments away and the beach side maybe a 3 minute walk if that. Very happy with our 4 night stay, even with the long walk to Ocean Beach!

Beautiful view, centrally located, adorable, clean, with all the extras you wouldn't get at a normal hotel such as access to grills, outdoor shower stocked with shampoos, beach towels and chairs, plates, cutlery etc in room if you plan on bringing meals. Room is intimately tiny, bed was a fouton pull out but would stay again 100 x over!!!Bang for your buck!

As described, this is a much loved family cottage and indeed, just one house from the beach (it takes about 20 seconds to get from the front door to the beach). Because this is someone's second home, when you arrive, everything is already there. No need to haul your lawn chairs, beach umbrellas and 20 extra beach towels from the city. There's also a dishwasher, washer, dryer and wifi - so no roughing it out while enjoying the amazing landscape. Isabelle was also a great host - very communicative throughout the process.

We had a lovely stay at Isabella's wonderful place right off the beach. It was larger than we expected and the deck and grill was fantastic. We would recommend to any and all!

Dylan's condo is just as described. Very clean and cozy for our Fire Island 2 day getaway. I loved the bay view and how close it was to Ocean Beach town, Schooners bar across the street, the beach is a short 5 min walk along with the ferry. A five minute walk from the beach, and 2 minute walk from restaurants/bars/the ferry. Janet was very communicative and accommodating, making herself available to answer any questions during our weekend stay. Would definitely recommend!

I needed an escape from NYC madness and Janet helped deliver the cure. After having to cancel a week prior due to illness I returned for a stellar weekend. Janet made sure I had all needed supplies and the cottage was pre-warmed for us! She was very generous with her kitchen and really everything and she connected me to one of the best massage therapists I've ever had. Janet is a super host. Her home is very will situated and quite cozy. I would happily return.

The decor was gorgeous and the house led to a secret garden in the back yard adding to the mystical feel of getting away. We were lucky to come across this and will be happy to return. Sharon is the perfect host, and her place is in the perfect spot. Easy walk from the ferry, to the beach, to the market on the next block or into town. An easy 10-min walk away from the crowds of Ocean Beach, so the house is peaceful, while still being close enough to everything you need -- restaurants, bars and of course the beach. Beautiful backyard space to grill, relax, take an outdoor shower or have a glass of wine or morning coffee. And Sharon is great - super warm, hospitable and gracious. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

I had a GREAT time once again in an environment that I love. Valerie is an awesome host. She cares about her guest and wants to makes sure that they are comfortable. The house is very clean and well kept. I had everything I needed at my finger tips. Thanks to Valerie I am able to spend a little time in a great place.

Valerie's home was just as she described. It was very spacious and a great place for group gatherings. It was very clean and a short walk to the beach. My only complaints are that she had a very long list of rules and expectations. I appreciate that she opened her home to us but it took a lot of effort to abide by her rules. We were unable to use the indoor shower because she did not have a bath mat and Valerie preferred that we did not use the bikes or wagon. Perhaps these are things that she would reconsider moving forward. Other than that, we had a great time and especially loved laying out on the deck.

Wonderful stay at the seashore condo motel!! Communication with Harold was very easy, as he contacted us both before and during our stay to make sure everything went smoothly. The on site concierge was happy to answer any of our questions and accommodate us. The room was very cozy and exactly as described on the listing, great for a couple (or a friend if you guys want to be really cozy!) Wifi was very reliable for those who need to stay connected. It was also great to have a little kitchenette for light cooking. Less than a 5 minute walk from the ferry, market, and other restaurants. They provided everything for the perfect getaway on fire island. I will definitely stay here for future visits to Ocean Bay Park!

Steve struck the right balance of being helpful and respecting privacy that I love in an AirB&B host. The home was clean and pleasant, fantastic location (10 minutes to either market or to "downtown" Ocean Beach). The house is one of the contemporaries I used to covet as a child vacationing here, with decks and ramps. Nice new air conditioning units in the bedrooms made us feel comfortable at night. My elderly mother traveled with us, and was very comfortable.

A wonderful FI home base! Close enough to walk to anything you need, far enough to not hear bars etc. Steps to the beach. Really charming house, even more spacious than the pics look, on a perfect little street. Steve was great with communication. We happily rode the house's bikes each day! Working (enough) piano was an extra treat :) Very glad to have stayed here, would definitely come back.

The pictures of the house actually don't do the listing justice. When my friends and I arrived, we couldn't get over how awesome the house was. The design/decor and location are absolutely perfect. The two outdoor decks are great for entertaining, and the outdoor shower was a real treat. Highly recommend this house.
