Good remote place to stay for larger family. House was clean inside, lots of toys for kids. No internet connection or cellular network coverage - emergency calls only. Probably good if you are there for fishing as boat can be launched few hundred meters away from property. Quite and peacefull.

We had an excellent stay at Tiffany’s! The house is cozy and well-eqipped and you can visit Bruce’s dairy farm. Definitely recommend anyone to come. We have in fact extended our stay here!

A fantastic house with a large garden ( even can enjoy horse riding!) lively outdoor pool to look at the stars in the night. Highly recommended.

Te Waihora Lodge was so spacious and lovely. It was such a shame we couldn't stay longer. The spa pool was amazing and the whole lodge and property was beautiful and such a bargain too!

8 of us stayed at Ryan's place for two nights. What a great place. Plenty of room for us all on a large section. The house was incredibly well presented. A nice fire to warm the place at night and the spa was a great way to relax. We will definitely stay here again in the future and can highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Te Waihora Lodge. It was a great spot to get together with family and friends. Quiet, rural location with lots of space in and around the house. Everything we needed was there. Only one bathroom and toilet but we managed really well, even with 8 of us. We would stay again.

We had a bit of a communication issue, but it could have happened to anyone. We had a very comfortable stay and Toni is incredibly nice. The town is very small, but is good if you are driving up the coast and don't need wifi for the night. We would stay here again.

Toni & Graham are awesomely friendly & nice people. They made my stay very comfortable & also offered me some travel tips. If you love dogs, Wee Man will be more than happy to keep you company. Very adorable puppy (3 months old). If you are driving south of Christchurch, stop by Toni's place for a quiet & peaceful stay.

Toni was a great host! Her home is super cozy, clean and quiet! Great spot to rest your head. It was the perfect stop over before we headed to hike Mount Sunday, which was only 40 min away. The bed was extremely comfortable and she left little pieces of chocolate on our pillows which we thought was a great touch. She was kind enough to leave out coffee and toast in the morning and we had a lovely chat with her before we left. Definitely recommend staying with Toni! ☺

I was Toni's first airbnb guest and she was an amazing host. There was a roaring fire waiting for me when I arrived and she made me feel really welcome in her home, making sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend staying at her place.

The accommodation was superb clean and a beautiful setting. I would recommend the accommodation to anyone down there. The host is very friendly, un-intrusive and a great communicator. We loved this place so much we will definitely book again when next in Christchurch

Perfect home base for us to travel around Christchurch and Lincoln. The apartment was so cozy and clean and the bed was so comfortable.

The cottage is very cosy and has everything you need for a great stay. The location is very picturesque and serene. The hosts are great at keeping in touch and are available for advice if needed. Absolutely loved our stay.

We loved the cottage. It seemed pretty new and everything was clean and neat and tidy. It was nice to be able to sit on the deck out the front if we wanted to or eat a meal at the table in the garden. The bed was super comfortable and there was enough basic cooking supplies to make simple meals. It was the perfect base, too, for exploring Christchurch (30 minutes), the Banks Peninsula (30 minutes) and the Canterbury Plains (as far as you want to drive). The hosts, Jo and David, live in the house adjacent and were friendly, hospitable and generous whenever we saw them. They even invited us to join them as they walked their baby alpacas! We'd recommend the cottage to anyone!

We had a short family trip from Queenstown to Chch, and Rakaia is a good place to stay before driving to Chch airport the next day. My family has an overnight stay in Deb's house. It was just so lovely! The house has almost everything you need to have a comfy stay and cook a good dinner. We appreciate it!

This was our second stay with Maria and we had a great time. The place is so quiet and we really relaxed, enjoyed the garden and the hollywood swing. Maria picked us up from the airport and took us back, this made it very easy for us. We had the upper floor for us, so all the privacy we need. There is a free wi-fi we could use. When we travel to New Zealand again, we will stay with Maria and we can only recommend her place. Thank you Maria for being such a good host.

Alastair is a beginner host but very helpful. Some little things can not be in the cabin but just ask Alastair, he will be happy to help you. Quiet, confortable.

A restful, tranquil and rustic cabin.

We loved staying at Alastair’s place. He is a warm and welcoming host who has created a charming guest cottage with beautiful carpentry from reclaimed wood and antique fittings. French doors overlook fruit trees and you can see across to a deer paddock. We are birders and wanted to check out close-by Lake Ellesmere. The cottage is quiet and very private and has excellent wifi reception and speed. The only appliance not in the cottage was a stove, (fridge, microwave and toaster were in the cottage) which we used in the main house. We found it to be conveniently close to Christchurch, 20+ minutes away. We enthusiastically recommend his cottage.

Great place! Perfect for a home base outside of the bustle of Chirstchurch, but a close drive to Akaroa and beaches. Alistair is a great host and attentive. The Apple trees were great for snack, and say hello to Toby, the worlds friendliest dog! Great place for solo or couples on a budget but alot of bang for your buck!

Great, modern and clean place. Host was very welcoming and we were free to use everything in the kitchen. Amazing rain shower and comfi bed made for a great night rest after a long haul flight. Will definitely stay again.

Fiona is such a welcoming, friendly, and wonderful host! Clean, nice, comfortable and tidy place. We stayed four nights here in total. First two nights before we started our journey traveling around South Island. And then we are back for another two nights during the end of our journey. We enjoyed our stay here a lot, especially my mom. She actually requested to stay at Fiona's place when we are back in CHC. Fiona made us feel like home :)
