    Candace2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the bed it was like disappearing into a cloud of awesomeness something I have come to find as such a rarity in the air bnb world. Being the coffee addicts we are (Melbourne coffee snob here 😉) it was a real treat to have a real coffee while listening to the cockatoos and rosellas in the morning still. Oh and we saw an echidna cruising along the roadside! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

    Peta2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • A little gem in Broadford, Do yourself a favour and stay a few nights and relax in the serenity of the countryside. We loved the apartment and all the extra touches provided by Kylie. We enjoyed the walks, the cockatoos, the local sights and even the cows. We had no reception but that was the idea, finally the kids got off their phones. We recommend this little gem and would certainly return again sometime, hopefully for a few more days next time. Ari and family

Treat yourself to magnificent, uninterrupted views over the beautiful rolling hills of the Yea Valley and surrounding mountain ranges. Designed and built by a local building designer, this truly is a unique, comfortable and relaxed space just waiting for you to enjoy. The centre of town along with its cafes, restaurants, shops and pubs is only a 15 minute walk away (or a 3 minute drive....)
A loft style studio retreat for a couple. Beautifully designed with an industrial chic feel but also with a warmth and heart that makes you relax into the environment in a heart beat. Polished concrete floors on the ground level are heated in the winter months. There is a great kitchen with all you need and a comfortable living space. The large windows all around the house frame the views perfectly, allowing you to enjoy your surroundings from inside or out. Nestle in the cosy bedroom upstairs. The entire space is yours during your stay. There is plenty of information at the property on what to do in the local area and hopefully all you need to have a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
We are tucked away on a no through road above the township of Yea on Constitution Hill, or Mt Connie as its known by the locals. We are a 15 minute walk downhill into town where you can explore the townships cafes, restaurants, shops and the wetlands information centre. The Yea Wetlands Information Centre is a great place to find additional information on the area also. There are many wineries in the area with Sedona Estate being the closest to Yea. Highly recommended. Yea is a great base for many of the tourist drives around the area. The Murrindindi Scenic reserve and the Great Victorian Rail Trail are another couple of great attractions. There is truly so much to discover in the area.
  • The home is amazing, it has exceeded our expectations. If you need a space to relax & connect with your partner or yourself- this home is just perfect!!

    Livi2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jen and Lee have perfectly summed up their beautiful home. It is indeed the perfect tranquil getaway, with magnificent views. They really do a beautiful job of making you feel so very welcome and celebrate the beauty that Yea and its surrounding areas have to offer. We mentioned we wanted to see the Yea Show and there was a brochure for us to peruse. Its these personal touches that make your stay even more special. They're fabulous, responsive hosts. We couldn't recommend them and No.5 Smith Street higher enough.

    Kim2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This stunning house is the perfect getaway for a couple looking for a relaxing time. The views are beautiful, the house itself is a piece of art and the extra touches Jen & Lee include made it extra special (bread, muesli, condiments, coffee etc). We had a great time and highly recommend.

    Amy2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • For those seeking a moment to breathe, reset and recharge, No. 5 Smith Street is all that and more. To the heated floors (most welcome on those chilly mornings ) and delicious morsels provided by these two thoughtful hosts, the rambling views, the fabulous coffee, the chorus of birdsong and even the sighting of the divine echidna upon dusk we couldn't have asked for a better break from the world. We can't wait to return dear Jen and Lee, thank you for sharing your part of Yea with us.

    Kim2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful, unique and clean cottage surrounded by nature. This was exactly the kind of place my partner and I were looking to stay in for our relaxing weekend away. We had nature at our doorstep and shops and restaurants about a 5 minute drive. Everything was lovely! Jen and Lee were easy to communicate with, hospitable and put such lovely touches on their home for us to easily navigate the place. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing weekend away in a gorgeous part of Victoria.

    Angelica2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to stay in a quiet, light-filled, spacious, open-plan, well-appointed, sustainable, ultra-clean, modern, country-style cottage boasting panoramic views over the township, then book in to 5 Smith Street, Yea. (The photos are accurate and the description authentic). If you want to experience the joyous carolling of Magpies at dawn and dusk, the raucous calls and clownish behaviour of the Sulphur-crested Cockatoos during the day, and the distinctive, two-noted call of the Southern Boobook Owl in the evening, then book in to 5 Smith Street, Yea. If you want responsive, hospitable hosts, then book into 5 Smith Street, Yea. We highly recommend the property. We stayed over two nights in late September during our cycle along the rail trail. All in all, probably the best Airbnb we've ever stayed in! John and Jenny from Buninyong.

    John2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a beautiful place to stay. We stayed in Yea for our anniversary and couldn’t have picked a more perfect place. To the bottle of wine on arrival, to all the extra little touches like biodegradable coffee pods and wood for the fire pit. This house is truly amazing and the views are out of this world. We are definitely looking forward to coming back.

  • Cheryl's farm house is a home away from home with everything you need to kick back and enjoy the stunning country setting. There were many small touches that made us feel at home including fresh eggs, bread, butter and wine. The beautiful old house has recently been renovated so everything is new and clean. • If you're after a quiet retreat, this is it. The standalone house sits away from everything else. The only thing you can hear is the occasional neigh of a horse. Sandy and Dan are very friendly and welcoming. You can even join them while they feed their horses!

    Toby2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy and Dan were super lovely! I went to their place for a weekend away with my dogs, they were super welcoming and I got a tour around the farm when they fed the horses and cows. My dogs were very welcome and loved running around with the farm pooches! This is an awesome place if you are after a quiet and relaxing time, away from noise and stress! It was lovely sitting on the porch in the evening and watch the horses, just what I needed! Can just recommend this place and Plan to go back sometime.

  • Stayed at Casita 3 overlooking the blueberry farm ( though out of season) and couldn’t imagine a better labour day weekend stay then this. Definitely one for the memory bank!:) Both Nick & Cynthia are helpful and exceptional hosts with thorough knowledge of Seymour and its surrounds. Cynthia & Nick gave us precious tips and suggestions on mini exploring adventures around different wineyarsa and sculpture gardens around area and there was nothing that did not impress us across it all. Definitely a lucky encounter for us to stumble upon this labour day weekend. Breakfast was marvelous accompanied by resident pooch: Flash . Super Cozy, clean and comfortable cabin that we would recommend in a heartbeat:) Thank you again for a memorable weekend Cynthia & Nick! Lisa & Crew

  • Goldie’s View is a stylish, modern space with all the creature comforts you could want. Georgina and David provide some amazing farm fresh treats for breakfast and a great space to unwind.

    Andrew2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Georgina and David’s place was more than we could ask for! The place was stylish with very modern amenities and absolutely sparkling clean! We really felt like we had escaped into the countryside on this amazing property. David and Georgina were very hospitable, wonderfully welcoming and were ready to help with anything we needed! Rarely ever does an Airbnb exceed my expectations, but this was an outstanding exception- they’ve set the bar high.

    Elysia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Georgina and David have put together a great experience at Goldie Views, the location is secluded and quiet providing great views and of the ranges. The land is huge providing opportunities to walk around the forest/woodland behind the barn, where you can see some wild animals if you’re lucky. The retreat is in between two towns and drivable distance of many, even providing chances for some great day trips if you have the time. Little touches put together by Georgina and David make the experience more memorable and the retreat is spacious and cosy at the same time. Would highly recommend for any couples looking to get away, especially from the city.

    Nick2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Georgina's and David's apartment is definitely the best place we stayed so far during our long years' experience of travel. It is well-thought-through, with many details such as the fireplace that looks so real, but is not and keeps the whole unit warm. The bathroom floor heating is a thing we loved in the morning as well as the two showers! The relaxing sofa, the huge TV screen, the very well equipped kitchen!!! And then there is this soooo comfortable bed (and we are really picky about beds!) and don't forget about the provided breakfast, produced by David and Georgina themselves. Two different jams, very highly recommendable muesli, the organic eggs, butter, milk, orange juice, etc. We loved it and they both take care to top up everything you need! We never met hosts that made you feel welcome in such a sweet way, thinking of each and everything. A bowl with freshly picked raspberries was waiting for us on the counter of the kitchen with a letter beside it welcoming us. Both hosts are such nice and easy-going people. David showed us how to walk around on their land and even bothered taking his time in the evening to help us meet kangaroos in the evening. The view from their balcony is breathtaking and has a huge roof to shelter you from wind and rain. This accommodation is worth staying there for more than a weekend!! The only thing we regretted: Leaving the place after five very interesting days while feeling absolutely refreshed.

    Judith2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Very accommodating well thought out and elegant modern barn stay. Great views of rolling hills above the lake. Georgina and David are open to share there home grown treats from there gardens and orchard. Will not disappoint.

  • Georgina and David's place is all you could need for a weekend away from the city. Very stylish, clean and the thoughtful touches made our stay very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place

  • What a great place to unwind and bask in the countryside. The scenery is absolutely spectacular! The cottage was very well equipped and homely and would be perfect all year round. The walk up to the top of the hill behind the property is steep but well worth the effort! We just need to find another free weekend to go back!

    Graham2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Nice views, especially if you walked up the mountains to see the sunrise, kangaroos and wombats. The place had everything you need + the hosts provided an amazing breakfast.

  • The house was the perfect base for a lovely weekend away. We had a scrumptious breaky with farm eggs and delicious home made bread and we enjoyed siting on the very comfy couch and chatting with friends over a few too many drinks! House is family friendly too with bath, portacot and kids supplies in the kitchen.

    Phil2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Both Pam and John were awesome throughout our stay with them. We had a wedding at a venue not too far from their place so we ended up booking our stay with Pam and John. They went above and beyond our expectations. They were very punctual with their messages and replies, they catered to our needs, they added nice little extra touches to make our stay and experience that much more enjoyable, they were very welcoming and wonderful to chat with and they make amazing coffee :). We highly recommend anyone who wants to stay in the area to stay with Pam and John. The room set up is cozy and comfortable, there's a beautiful deck where you can watch the sunrise and see kangaroos and other possible wildlife as well as at night you can see so many bright and beautiful stars in the sky. Both Pam and John are wonderful company and great to chat with if you're the social type but they are also very respectful if you wish to be left to yourselves. Personally, if we do ever get around that way again, we'd love to visit again.

    Jeremy2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had an wonderful stay at Pam's place. Pam and John are lovely people, and a joy to be around. They made us feel very comfortable and at home. The house was beautiful and the property is stunning. We had some very cute housemates, in the form of 2 Bernese mountain dogs, to keep us company. It was the best Air Bnb we have stayed in hands down. Cant wait to visit again soon. 😊 Pat and Jess

  • Our stay with Pam and John was great. Our room was spacious, clean and cosy with the wood burner on. Bathroom was great and clean with a good shower. The best thing about our stay was our hosts overall hospitality

  • We were looking for accommodation near Melbourne, but closer to nature with room for the kids to play. Lucy and Mark‘s cottage was just perfect. Very roomy and comfortable, great beds, good shower, a wide range of toys for the kids and even some food supplies in the pantry. The kids loved the pool! Lucy and Mark, even though very busy, were super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Even rushed to buy a new coffee plunger, as the original one was missing. Highly recommended!

Overall a lovely country place to stay.

  • Fortunate to spend a few days in this special little place that is Kate’s paddock right at the footsteps of Kinglake National Park. From the entrance you are welcomed by a good size veranda that is equipped with everything that you need to relax and unwind: stunning views of the paddock, swing to help you let your hair down and enjoy the views, the horses and the multitude of birds. There is also a BBQ if you remember that you also have to eat not only sightseeing and interacting with the horses. Good size kitchenette with everything that you need for cooking the yummy eggs that Kate has left in the fridge for you alongside the homemade bread, jam and beautiful selection of teas. Bathroom is sparkling clean and offers organic soap and shower gel. The room is absolutely gorgeous with big windows looking over the paddock and forest. The smell of wood is so inviting, go inside and you don’t know where to look first: at the comfortable bed, at the good selection of books and movies, at the beautiful branch that stands for a closet... And there is more, within 30 min you have so many beautiful wineries and on farm butchers or dairy farms. Furthermore, lots of great walks and waterfalls surrounding that area. Come and spend a great time in this wonderful place !

    Ioana2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Kate's place. The accommodation was lovely and clean and we loved the way the room was done, really nice and bright. The bed was really comfortable and it was so relaxing sitting out on the deck. We loved how quiet it was, so peaceful with only the sounds of the birds and the rain.

  • Alison and Alister were such amazing hosts, the main reason why I booked this place was because of the lovely reviews written about them. I thought maybe it was too good to be true but honestly it is true. They are just honestly the best hosts, so thoughtful with every little detailing they have put into this accommodation. The place itself was so the perfect spot for a weekend getaway and I would recommend this place to anyone that just needs an little country escape. Yes as well, they gave us freshly made bread in the morning with other breakfast needs. The bread itself you could just feel incredible and I alone would come back just for that. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

    Wylissa2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was our third visit to Alison and Alister's cottages. We love the location, the gorgeous views which you can sit back and take in from the front verandah. The cottage has all that you need for a relaxing weekend and the breakfast ingredients are always amazing (including freshly baked bread brought to you in the morning). Alison and Alister are lovely hosts, always obliging and also respectful of your privacy.

    Kellie2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you are currently looking through these reviews putting together a short-list of options, my advice would be to save your time and book Alison and Alister's place as soon as you can! Everything you would want from an AirBnB is here; both hosts are incredibly generous with their time and their property, with many little thoughtful touches adding to the experience. The cottage itself is perfect for a weekend away, and we honestly can't wait to come back. Thanks again Alison and Alister!

  • Peace and quiet in a tranquil setting... We booked the couples package which included use of the outdoor spa, chocolate and port on arrival and a cooked breakfast the following morning. The facilities are perfect, especially if you have pets, there’s plenty to explore within the scenic area and Lindy and Bruce are super accommodating hosts who go above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Their subtle touches to make our stay memorable certainly didn’t go unnoticed.

The top floor is yours to enjoy. Two very large bedrooms, with small living area. The bathroom has a bath, seperate shower with toilet included . There is a small balcony from the lounge room, overlooking the common, where a push bike track is located. The tips regarding the predicted weather and best route home, cold drinks waiting for us on arrival, assistance in getting us to our event and back again in some challenging conditions and keeping the generator running for us when the power went off were all appreciated and made our stay very easy and enjoyable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them as hosts or stay with them again.

  • Alison and Alister are amazing hosts . We had the best time on the farm . The view from the cottages is absolutely breathtaking and the bread that Alison makes and delivers to your door every morning is worth coming just for the that . I highly recommend this place and I can’t wait to come back .

    Peter2020-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Alison and Alister are so nice people, very easy going, polite and thoughtful. They provide home made bread and cookies, farm free range eggs, farm grown tomatoes with so many other foods like chocolate, apples, bananas.....all for free. The place has beautiful farm and mountain views, especially when it is sunset. So, make sure you arrive before sunset. We really love this place. We will come back.

  • Super Dooper Hosts From the moment we arrived, Alister and Alison ensured we had everything we needed. Homemade jams, fresh bacon, milk, free range eggs, cereals, veggies from the garden and to top it off, fresh baked bread delivered (discreetly) to your door in the morning at a time of your choosing. Quality bed sheets, soaps, shampoo and conditioner. What can I say, we had a truly lovely stay at Cheviot Cottage.

  • After reading the reviews, I was expecting a great stay - and wow, it really was so perfect! Alison and Alister are such lovely people and lovely hosts. The special touches, home baking, local tips and peaceful surroundings all made for a perfect city escape. Yea is well worth a visit. The cottages are near the rail trail too, so we'll bring the bikes next time! It was such a pleasure to stay here, thank you both so much for your hospitality. We'll be sure to tell our friends about this special spot and highly recommend to others!

    Sarah2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We are a family of 5 and use Airbnb as our go-to for any trips. Alison and Alister were the perfect hosts, probably the best we’ve ever had. We were doing the Great Vic Rail Trail and the property was just located off the rail trail which was convenient. Alison gave us home baked bread for our breakfast, a selection of home made jams, home made muffins, biscuits - all amazing! Alister gave us a lift to Yea and back and we were greeted with a jug of cool during when we arrived, hot and pretty exhausted after a day of riding in 30C heat. The reviews for the place and the hosts are spot on, book this place and you’ll be glad you did.

    Peter2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic weekend away in Yea at the Cheviot glen cottages. Alison and Alister were very friendly at check-in and we bumped into them a couple of other times over the weekend. The cottage is set on the small farm away from the main house, with its own small deck looking over the hills etc. the cottage is perfect, everything you need. Nice little touches incl home made jams etc. and fresh muffins/bread. Very hot weekend when we were there but the cottage cooled easily by aircon and fans. We will definitely recommend and stay again

  • This was one of our favourite Airbnb’s ever! Both hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The warm bread for breakfast was so delicious as were the homemade biscuits. • Peace and quiet, lovely stuff!

  • Janis's place is a cosy little stay and her hospitality was A+ Being set on a working farm is great as we could admire the livestock and the great views.

  • Janis' cabin was the perfect stop over for us between Canberra and Melbourne. Janis had left us some goodies for breakfast which was a lovely touch. It was lovely to be on the farm and listening to the animals, wish we could have stayed longer.

    Hope2019-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Janis's house was lovely and clean and ready for us when we arrived. We loved the cows, alpacas and sheep in the paddocks nearby and the birds and wrens flitting around the gardens outside the door were really lovely.

    Jessie2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a good stay at Janis’ place. She was such a friendly and nice host and the unit had everything that we required.

    LIzette2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved to stay at Janis's place! Janis was very charming with us! She gave us nice tips for hiking, introduced us to the lovely and friendly animals in the farm, and showed us some of the birds flying around. The cabin may be a bit old, and can be a bit too hot during summer but for us it is fine as it is in the middle of the nature! The water is from the tank but drinkable, we did not have any issue at all! The kitchen was well equipped and some food for the breakfast was provided. You can feed the cows with the fruit skins or some veggie scraps (but confirm with Janis first). We enjoyed a lot feeding them ;-) The place is ideal for night sky watching (with or without a telescope). During the day, we spotted a few kangaroos, lots of birds (including lorikeets, magpies, cockatoos, fairy wren, ...). Mount Piper is just by the farm if you are interested on some close hiking or enjoy the views. Also Kinglake National Park or Macedon Rangers are not so far (40-60 minutes by car) for more hiking. Edgar's Mission Farm Sanctuary is only 30 minutes by car from the house. It is a lovely place to visit, but you need to book in advance! Broadford and Kilmore are the two closest towns (5-10 minutes by car).

  • The best of tiny home living with a touch of country charm! I absolutely loved this little tiny home and would recommend this trip to my friends! It provides all the experience of a tiny home overlooking a stunning vista. The hostess was extremely attentive and made it that much easier to sit back by the campfire and enjoy a glass of red! Thank you so much.

  • We had a fabulous and relaxing stay here. The tiny house was warm and a perfect space for two people, plus the views were beautiful. Our highlight was getting a tour around the property by the two farm dogs who were super cute and friendly! Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to experience a tiny house or needing a place to switch off for a few days. Part of the road up to the house is a little steep and rough so we were glad to have a 4WD.

    Sarah2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful space in an incredible setting! Sunset and sunrise were both magical, my pup loved the two friendly dogs too! A very cute little getaway spot for fresh high country air.

Taylan and team on the property were fantastic, extremely helpful, and if you go - make sure you get some of the farm produce, we purchase chirizo - can't wait to eat it

  • My wife and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon, and absolutely loved it. I am appreciative of the host and house, thanks for making our stay special. Will definitely recommend to friends + fam.

  • Ali’s little house sits perched on top of a gorgeous hill overlooking the most beautiful rolling hills of forest. The quiet serenity is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Ali included lots of extras for us for my partners birthday and her attention to detail and care was both thoughtful and generous. The house itself it really beautiful. Gorgeous big windows looking out to the vast green outdoors. The most comfortable bed you’ve ever slept in. An amazing cinema with a brilliant selection of films. A beautiful bottle of local wine and a selection of yummy things to make breakfast. We were in self isolation and were so happy to have the opportunity to relocate to self isolate. Thanks Ali for being the perfect host.

    Carly2020-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Ali's place felt immediately like home. It's comfortable and spacious with tidy and thoughtful touches. You're living in a double-page spread from a home and garden magazine. Highlights include the bed (which you won't want to wake up from), the fireplace, the cinema room (of course), the large and well-appointed kitchen, and the food and wine Ali left for us. We hadn't yet checked out and already booked our second, much longer stay. We joked about this being 'our holiday home' and it seems that's what it will become.

    Michelle2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space on an amazing property. So perfect for a weekend of shutting off and getting away. Far from the main wineries in the Yarra Valley so definitely organise a driver if you’re going for a winery weekend. Perfect spot if you’re going to chill.

    Ali2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We love it so much here, we keep coming back for more!

    Nathalie2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect ‘weekend retreat.’ There is no need to leave the place for the duration of the stay.

  • We are a regular Airbnb travelers and would rate Katrina & Chris’s place as one of the nicest, best located, and real value of all the places we have stayed. The place was very clean, modern, had everything we needed to feel at home, and was an easy walk to all the sites we wanted to see. Communication was great too! Chris was very nice, easy to talk to and very friendly when he welcomed us. We would highly recommend this wonderful house and definitely come again! Thanks!
