We had a wonderful time at the Sugarhouse cabin! The cabin is new, clean, and inviting, beyond what we expected from the photos. It had all the amenities that we needed, including cups, plates, towels, toilet paper and extra blankets. The temperature control inside the cabin was adequate. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. On a clear night, the stars are amazing! A perfect get-away for a few days of relaxation! Expect not to have cell service for a few miles surrounding the cabin.

This was my first Airbnb rental and I am a believer! I wasn't sure what to expect, but Heather was very helpful during our email communications to make arrangements beforehand. The cabin is beautiful and newly remodeled. I vacationed with my two daughters (15 and 10 y.o.) and my nephew (11 y.o.). The kids loved the sleeping loft. And I loved the kitchen and the hot shower. Overall, a beautiful little house in an idyllic setting by a pond and blueberry farm. Also close to some sweet VT hamlets, as well as swimming and picnic spots.

The Sugarhouse Cabin was lovely, comfortable and so quiet. We loved using it for a base for mountain bike adventures in the Craftsbury and Stowe areas. The PYO blueberries were an unexpected and yummy surprise!

Sugarhouse Cabin was a great home away from home! We loved being able to get away from it all - even more than we were expecting! The surrounding area has very little amenities - I would definitely recommend looking up groceries, restaurants, etc. before your arrival and printing out maps the old fashioned way! One word of warning - the water in the cabin is stinky! No one mentioned this to us before our arrival and it wasn't a great surprise in my morning shower. It wouldn't keep us away from staying again or recommending the cabin, but it is something to note!

Everything at the Sugarhouse Cabin was perfect. It was as described in the listing, and the cabin itself was very clean. The cabin is secluded on the property, but not too far from town which was convenient for us. There was only two of us and we chose to stay in the loft instead of the bedroom, it made the experience that much better. Heather and Bruce left the lights on for us since we told them we were going to get there later in the day, which was really helpful since we got there just after the sun went down. They came by the morning after we checked in to make sure everything was good, and that we were able to find the place alright. They also gave us directions to the wedding were heading to that day, which helped a lot since phone/GPS reception in the area can be spotty. If we're ever looking for a place to stay in the area again, this will be the first place we look.

This cabin is perfect for a rustic weekend away. Hartwick and the surrounding areas are so quaint and beautiful and there is a lot to do. We stayed here in the fall and found it the perfect location to see all of the new england fall colors while doing fall things like walking, apple picking, pumpkin hunting, trail running, fishing, etc. Things to know about the cabin: - Verizon cell phones do not have service once you leave the main road and head towards the cabin. Many towns also do not have service although Hardwick did. - Others have commented on the "hike" up to the cabin... ignore these. It is a 90 sec walk from the road, across a small bridge, up a few stones, and then along a flat path. you do not need hiking boots at all for this - the wood stove is amazing - washing dishes here is very hard... bring a LOT of water with you for both drinking and washing dishes - don't forget headlamps/flashlights - the cabin has no where to sit and no table...strongly suggest that the owner adds these or you bring your own with you. there's plenty of space! - go to Connie's Kitchen for the breakfast sandwich... best we've ever had.

Kyle was such a warm host! The cottage is so sweet, and clearly a lot of love went into it. It was a delight to share the space.

A really warm, clean, private, and cozy cabin that is perfect for two or maybe three people. About a ten minute drive from the idyllic Hardwick town.

We had a really nice stay. The wood stove keeps the place warm, especially the loft area. It's very quiet and scenic.

The Hardwick/Greensboro/Craftsbury areas are the vision of Vermont people who dig beautiful unspoiled nature, the best, freshest food on planet earth and people who work very, very hard to live off the land given short growing seasons and little except their own tenacity and joy of having the opportunity to live with Vermont in harmony. I can't say enough great things about this place, and Kyle himself. Kyle was so incredibly easy to communicate with, and was exremely quick to reply to any questions I had. He even extended our stay at the very last minute, which really saved us from some potential driving issues due to snow. The place itself is amazing. Such a cozy little cabin with everything you need to have a fantastic stay. Me and my stayed there on very, very cold days, but once we got the wood stove going, we were so warm and comfortable that we would open windows periodically to let a cool breeze through. Beautiful surroundings. A cool little walk across a creek and wood bridge leads you to the cabin itself tucked inside the woods. I recommend this place highly to anyone who is thinking of making the trip, and we will absolutely be back to this spot in the near future.

Kyle is a genuine individual who poured his soul into building this home. Everything was explained and prepared meticulously, and he was extremely easy to reach, even when he was out of the country! The neighbors across the street were also amazing, always fun to chat with and gave some great tips on what to do in the area. This cabin is straight out of a fairy tale! It sits on a hill, nestled in the woods, surrounded by the natural wonders of Vermont. I spend a lot of time camping in tents and cabins, and this easily outclasses any public sites you can find in state/national parks. There are numerous breathtaking attractions within a short drive, such as Lake Willoughby and Mt Mansfield, both of which I highly recommend.

Jennifer was a great host and made our time in VT that much more enjoyable. The house is as described. It offers the peace of the countryside and the modern conveniences of internet connectivity. It was clean, comfortable and exactly what we hoped for.

This is my first Airbnb experience and I am so glad this is the place I chose! What a wonderful, comfortable country home in a quiet secluded area, yet close to what we needed. I can officially say good bye to hotels/motels and hello Airbnb from here on out.. and I plan to book more stays at this great home in the future.

Jennifer's place is totally amazing! It's a lovely house in rural Vermont, quiet and secluded but less than five minutes drive to an excellent general store. Her place has many rooms/beds, a lovely decor, a lovely kitchen, and is absolutely charming. Outside there's a fire pit, starlit skies, and plenty of space. I went with a few friends to visit a nearby brewery, but honestly I think we had more fun just enjoying a night around the fire pit (though the beers were still tasty!) Jennifer is also incredible at responding to messages quickly and was always helpful. She also made check in and check out a breeze. Fun tip: her place can be hard to enter into maps programs, but it's a rare instance where Apple Maps is right and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps is wrong. Entering the address into (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) will put you on the right road, but on the wrong side of the general store!

Great place!

The place is very secluded. We only spent one night so didn't have enough time to really enjoy the facilities.

This was the perfect spot for our disc golf/craft beer honeymoon in VT. Gerette was very helpful! She packed an amazing picnic lunch for us and arranged us a fantastic spa day during our stay.

From the beginning, Gerette was an exceptional host. When we first reserved, Gerette reached out to introduce herself and tell us more about the lovely dream haven cottage. Upon arrival, we were very pleased to find Gerette welcoming us to this enchanted property. Dream haven is nestled away in the woods with access to walking paths but not too far from shops and restaurants. We had a lovely time and definitely would recommend it to friends.

If you are looking for a cozy cottage close to several spots for winter activities and a host that will make you feel right at home, this is it. Four of us had an unforgettable time at Gerette's during a 3-day weekend that included ice climbing at Smuggler's Notch and skiing/snowboarding at Jay Peak. We arrived late at night to the cottage prewarmed by Gerette via the woodburning stove (with split wood and tinder just outside the door) only to find some delicious english muffins and blueberry jam waiting for us. It was roomy and clean, with a fully equipped kitchen and 2 queen sized beds located upstairs in a loft. There are also space heaters around if it is too cold, but we never found that to be the case. Gerette made sure that we were comfortable the whole weekend despite the fact that we only were able to meet her while we were leaving! My only regret is that we didn't get a chance to speak with her more. Or to meet Lily the dog. Bottom line: this is a wonderful, convenient, clean, place with a kind host that is perfect for a getaway weekend in Vermont. Thanks Gerette!

I had a wonderful stay at Gerette's delightful cottage! So cosy and charming. I loved the claw foot tub, the kitchen is well-equipped - basic pantry items too. The gardens are beautiful and there are lovely walks; went swimming at the nearby lake (reservoir). The family were most welcoming and we had some interesting talks. They were also very discrete and the cottage felt quite private even though the hosts were on hand if help was needed. Thanks so much - I will be back for sure!

Gerette wasn't there when we got to the rental. She did leave us a note and some eggs and fresh milk. The place was charming,rustic and quaint. Gerette let is know that she reachable by text or phone if we needed her. It was a quiet time with the kids and our dogs. We enjoyed it.

I loved AJ's cabin! It was incredibly peaceful, and it felt very private. There is a great view of the mountains, a lovely wood stove to enjoy an outdoor fire, and an apple tree full of delicious fruit! The cabin itself is spacious, and we were able to cook a small breakfast. I highly recommend staying here!

Warm cozy cabin exactly as pictured. It was perfect for us! We were in the area to ski and the space was super affordable and comfortable for a couple's retreat. Though it has limited amenities, it is warm and inviting. Our host was extremely accommodating and even gave us a great tip to a local brewery just 5 minutes down the road. We would definitely stay here again as the cabin is located relatively close to Stowe, Smugglers and Jay Peak. Stay here, spend a couple dollars on gas and save hundreds compared to a resort style condo. Great find!!

The cabin was a slam dunk for two hikers going on spring break. The cabin was very quite and serine with breathtaking views of the mountains surrounding the valley. The place had everything that we needed to have a good time, and it was in such a great location for any outdoor activities. I would highly recommend it to any couple looking to get away for a weekend or the whole week.

This Tiny Cabin is just that. A small functional living space with the vastness of mountain views and farm animals right outside the front door. It's secluded and a private setting, yet within a 5 minute drive down a rural road to many local conveniences. (restaurants, grocery stores, pubs, gas stations, etc.) The location is ideal for summer hiking and exploring both at Stowe and Jay Peak, so ideal for all 4 seasons if you are a skier. It's quiet, beautiful and a magical little house with all the amenities of home simply on a smaller scale. The kitchen and BBQ allow for some great home cooked meals at the end of a day of activities. The DVD player, and Red Box movie rentals at the grocery stores, make it viable to put up your feet and get lost within someone else's story. The bed is heaven. I cannot say enough for the cabin and for AJ's hospitality. For anyone wondering about living in a Tiny Home or seeking to challenge previous notions about living with less, I encourage you to stay here!!

This place is absolutely perfect for a getaway for two. The cabin is cozy but doesn't feel small. The kitchen had the basics for a weekend and having access to the grill and the fire place outside was wonderful. Great location with necessities just down the hill and only a short drive to Stowe, Waterbury, and area breweries. Hope to be back soon!

An absolutely lovely country house, in scenic Wolcott. The natural light, beautiful decor and property, made our vacation in Vermont just perfect. The kind neighbors made us feel local and very welcomed.

This home should be in Airbnb's 'Back to School' Picks. It's everything you would hope for in a rental. A real home, unique, spacious, comfortable and welcoming. Million dollar, 180º panoramic views over fields, forests and majestic mountains with the slopes of Stowe ski area in the distance, and a short drive away. Sunsets from your balcony, a lawn to run around on or enjoy BBQs on in the summer, and a fully equipped kitchen that's a joy to cook in. The open floor plan is very conductive to quality family time and the bedrooms are inviting and cozy to sleep in. It's an easy hour+ drive from Burlington and 15-20 mins to gourmet shopping and restaurants, or a little further to the Ben & Jerry's factory, Cabbot Cheese outlet, vineyards, distilleries, and orchards. The only slight downside would be that it is close to the road (a quiet dirt road), but there isn't much traffic to worry about. This is really tops! Best of the best.

Jack was awesome, very accommodating, and helped us settle-in even though we arrived late on a Friday night. This house is a great place to live in VT and provides peace, great views and a cozy atmosphere. It was raining when we rented, so we unfortunately couldn't make use of the deck (Wish we could really!)

Jack was extremely accommodating. We got in pretty late as we left Boston after work on Friday but Jack stayed up to greet us and give us the run-down of the property. The guest house was very clean and spacious. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and then some. Jack was also wonderful to talk to about the area and overall a very nice person. We went right as the foliage was turning in VT and it was absolutely beautiful.

We loved staying at the Hardwick Bungalow in northern Vermont. Jack was a great host, and a welcoming and kind man. We booked the house last minute, on the evening that we wanted to arrive, and he replied within minutes. He even stayed up to meet us when we arrived late at night (due to some rainy road conditions). The house has a lot of rustic character, and is in a beautiful location on a hill facing west into the sunset. Jack was very helpful, suggesting spots to visit in the area and providing another propane tank for the grill when it ran out. It was exactly what we were looking for in an escape to the country for a weekend.

We absolutely loved the place. But mind you, its a little remote and the GPS systems on my car went awry trying to figure out the place. (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps is the best bet. Especially, if you are from NY / NJ / Boston kind of area, then it has a very country feel to it. We loved Jack, the host. He built the home by himself and its apparent he loves the place. He invited me over for coffee on the first morning we were there and I just loved hanging out with him drinking coffee on a beautiful Vermont morning. If you are looking to get away from it all and just be away from the madding crowd then this is the place. Don't think twice. Thank you, Jack, for making our stay comfortable and hosting us.

Jack was a gracious and accommodating host. He was always in easy reach when needed, and has deep knowledge of the area & had some great tips that led me to things to see and do that I never would have been able to find otherwise. The bungalow is just as it appears in photographs, but the pictures can't quite give a sense of special the place is. It has that rustic vibe but is lovingly maintained, and fits right in that "Goldilocks" zone- not too huge, not too small, and perfectly cozy. There was everything I needed to feel totally at home and completely self-sufficient. With a 180-degree view of the mountains from the front porch, it feels you've got the whole Northeast Kingdom all to yourself. The sunsets alone would recommend it. Can't wait to get back up there again!

We just had a very nice anniversary weekend at Hidden Arrow. The cabin was absolutely perfect for exactly what we were looking for. Comfy, cozy, and quaint are just a few words to describe it. We sat by the fire at night and we enjoyed the quiet of the indoor fire place in the morning. Nestled in the woods and very close to a lot of towns....we walked trails...kayaked...and visited local breweries. We will DEFINITELY be back...perhaps next time with friends or even our children whom we left behind this trip! If anyone is looking for a little rest and relaxation and a perfect hideaway cabin...this is the place for you!!!

This place is DREAMY. I stayed here for a perfect weekend in May with 2 girlfriends, and this is the pinnacle of Airbnb: truly home-y lodging that exactly matches the pictures and description (with the indefinable charm factor far exceeding any hopes). Sitting around the fire with a glass of local beer and some local cheese while chatting into the night will be a lifelong memory! Cassie and Eric were super helpful and communicative before, during, and following our stay - thank you! And the cabin is CLEAN! Beds are comfy, the cabin is easy to reach yet also secluded, and the coziness is beyond compare.

Richard is the most welcoming host I ever had. We got stuck in snow a few hundred feet away from his house. He drove to help us with our bags and helped arrange a tow truck. Richard was very welcoming and has home with an incredible view. He had great recommendations for local spots to eat and visit, and was very engaging in conversation. We came up to go skiing at Stowe- which is an easy drive from Richard's house.

Richard was an amazing host and went over the moon to accommodate and welcome us! His house is clean, homely, cozy, and is surrounded by a beautiful view of the mountains. My friend and I spent hours talking with Richard about everything and at the end, we felt like friends. We wished we had booked a few extra days with Richard and we would love to come back here again.

Richard was a very congenial host. The room is of a hotel quality. The view from his deck of the Vermont countryside and Mount Mansfield is beautiful. Richard kindly allowed us the use of his main living area including the TV. Further this is the only Airbnb that I have stayed in to date where the host cooks a breakfast (waffles, blueberries, sausage and two types of Vermont maple syrup- yum) - a few others have made cooking facilities and ingredients available. Finally I enjoyed some very good conversations with Richard.

Richard was wonderful, welcoming us with wine and cheese. We hit a snaffoo on the way up and he was very flexible regarding our arrival time.

We had a great stay! Amy was a great host and the cabin is beautiful. If you like craft beer or skiing this is a great central location for both. Amy had cookies and cider waiting and is right next door for any needs.

The cottage was magical. There's just something about a log cabin... it rained for most of our visit but Amy's warm little corner in Hardwick made even the cold rain enjoyable. She greeted us with a smile, lots of information, and a warm cookie & lemonade. The bed was completely comfortable and the shower was amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better hostess or place to stay. Our dog Benjamin also gives two dew claws up!

We had an amazing stay at Amy's cottage on the weekend of 11/25-11/27. We were looking for a quiet weekend getaway after our hectic wedding day and that is exactly what we experienced. Amy's cottage is nestled in the middle of the woods giving you that true Vermont feeling of staying in your own log cabin. Although the cabin is connected to Amy's house, it is completely secluded and you barely can hear one another. We recommend having breakfast at the Village restaurant right in town and going for a walk in the trails behind the local high school. Bring bear spray with you as we saw some pretty big footprints along the tracks. We'd also recommend visiting Stowe, which is a 40 minute drive from the cottage. It is more populated with tourists and has lots of shops and restaurants. We got a couples massage and ate dinner at Idletyme (great burgers and home brewed craft beer). If you're looking for a quiet weekend get away in your own private log cabin, Amy's Cottage at Dunne Dreamin is the place to go!

We had a great time at Amy's cabin. It is close by to our favorite cross country ski place. The cabin was very cozy with no views of neighbors, streets or cars just snowy trees which is exactly what we wanted. Any was very welcoming and available but we felt we had a lot of privacy. Just would note that there is not a full kitchen more of a dorm kitchen with microwave and hot plate. Fine for breakfast and coffee but keep in mind if settling in for a long visit! Real Vermont cabin experience!

Amy was a great host while allowing me all the privacy I could want. The cabin is gorgeous and located in a wonderful location to enjoy the outdoors and close proximity to towns and cities. Even in winter the porch is perfect to enjoy a hot mug of tea on and enjoy the scenic view.

Amy left us home-made scones and a lovely welcoming note. She also invited us to dinner one night. The cottage was spacious and charming, and the locale was gorgeous -- up on a hill overlooking a beautiful landscape.

We had the most lovely stay at Windy Meadow Farm! The house itself was very spacious with tons of charm, and the property was absolutely stunning. It was so private and relaxing and still close enough to area attractions for us to be able to spend our days out and about. Sue was very welcoming and attentive and very easy to communicate with. This was perfect for our fall family getaway.

sara was very helpful and patient as we got lost (our fault) finding her place. She offered suggestions when we asked. The place is comfortable and private, clean and includes all the things we might have needed... shampoo, soap, hand cream, fridge, etc.

Sara was very friendly and we had a pleasant stay for our anniversary weekend! She provided us with information on different things to do in the area, including maps and hiking trails. Since it was warmer than normal outside, she made sure we had all the fans we needed to keep cool. She also has one of the sweetest dogs ever, Roxy. All in all, a very nice experience! :)

This was my first Air BnB experience. I was very impressed with the room and with Sara as a host. It felt like the perfect amount of involvement from her as a host. She left a thoughtful list of local places to eat and how to get there. She left the light on and a note on the door welcoming me, which I really appreciated. The location was great, it was only about 15-20 minutes from Hill Farmstead. I would definitely stay there next time I'm in the area.
