Very nice apartment with very nice view. Johnny is a very friendly and supportive host. It was great to sit out in the sun in the morning. Very quiet, 10 min up the steep hill from Ponta do Sol.

We had a great stay and the location is sensational. There was everything you needed and we were also set up the travel cot before arrival.

The house looks just as on the pictures. It is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you may need for a perfect holiday on Madeira. Right next to the sea with a little "swimming pool" and parking space just next to the house. Location: center north part of the island. Perfectly situated for all excursions (Levadas, coastal villages, Funchal,...). Surfing spot at 200m, if you are into surfing Constantino's house is the must stay for you. Need to know: it is on the north, less sunnier side of the island and you definitely need a car. Restaurants, bars, small groceries and wine stores nearby though. Constantino was the perfect host, communication was easy, welcome was warm, we got a lot of useful tipps and even sweets and Madeira wine as welcome gift. If we look for negatives, hard to find any. Except perhaps that on rainy days one bedroom was a bit damp. We were only 2 so no problem. Did we miss something? Maybe a coat hanger near the door ;-) A 100% recommandation.

We had a great stay. Jorge was an awesome host and had some great tips for us. He was also available at all times. The view was breathtaking, the place was spotless, and the kitchen equipment was top-notch. We'd happily come back at any time.

The house was very spacious with a panoramic view of the sea. A very big kitchen and good sized bathrooms with constant hot water. A quiet location but with quick access to main roads, which is ideal for touring the island. A great little supermarket is situated 2 minutes walk from the house and had all the supplies we needed for a week. A car is essential. Good choice of restaurants a short drive away at Calheta Beach marina. Everything considered we had an enjoyable week and would be happy to stay here again. Angela was a responsive host. Perfect stay! The place was clean and well equipped. The host was very accurate in location and chekin and super attentive. I recommend the place and if possible I will return again.

The stay at Isabel's house was very good, the place is well equipped, it has incredible views, and good lighting and privacy. Mrs. Isabel was very nice and gave us all the information we need, we asked for a fan because we felt a bit of heat and there was some other mosquito, despite not having it he made the necessary arrangements to provide it which positively influenced our stay since with the noise of the fan it felt less the sound of the motorway cars and the nights were more pleasant. The house has access by a few stairs, for people who have advanced age or reduced mobility is not highly recommended but for us that was no problem. The location is very good, you can walk to the center of Funchal if you want to do some exercise otherwise you have bus stops when you go down the stairs. Definitely a good stay and a good hostess.

Miguel is a great host who knows a lot about the surroundings, flowers and plants. The stay in the north was exactly what we were hoping for: lots of greenery, quiet and very accessible in terms of transport. For us, the cottage was equipped with all the comforts. We were on the road every day to walk all the walks that are there on the island. For that reason, we have been home "little" during the day. If you are a stay at home I don't know if it is a suitable place in winter because the kitchen, living room and bedroom are separate from each other. In the spring/summer/fall I would highly recommend the accommodation because you can sit outside a lot. There is especially the terrace on which you can relax in the sun! We were very happy with all the facilities in the cottage: lunch pots we could bring, we could wash our dirty hiking clothes, a great gas stove that we cooked many evenings on. All in all: definitely worth it!! Thanks Miguel!

Where do I begin? The trip was unbelievably beautiful. From the amazing Airbnb location with an even more amazing host to the majestic and magical scenery of the island. The landscape was astonishingly lush and green, the water a glistening blue like I have never seen before. For anyone into hiking or just a relaxing vacation on the beach, this island has got it all. The hikes are unparalleled! There is something for everyone, from relatively easy, flat, and stunning coastal hikes to intense routes at crazy elevation. Our host Bruno was extremely helpful and a kind soul. The amenities, bathroom, and bed were clean and well maintained—especially the Jacuzzi with the extraordinary view! Bruno, meu amigo, you are most definitely living the dream on this incredible paradise of an island. Once again, thank you for everything! We would love to come back someday. Perfect accommodation for two couples. Always nice to have two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms plus an extra 1/2 bath. Nicoline and Odete were very responsive. 10 minute walk to many great Old Town restaurants. Our favourites were the Three House restaurant for their French Onion Soup. Better than anywhere. Also enjoyed La Pasta for delicious pizza and pasta dishes.

Great location, walkable, had a pleasant stay

This is a 5* +++ apartment. Spacious beyond belief. Amazing views of the hillside, watching the lights twinkle, the stadium lights way up on top and the moon rising from behind the hill. Kitchen really well equipped with quality items. Beds big and comfy. Brilliant location for the coast, cable car, old town and restaurants. Betty is a wonderful host. Best Airbnb we have stayed in. Highly recommend.

We really liked the quiet location and the large outside terraces. The flat has a bus stop near bye. It was nice to be met on arrival by our host Ricardo, this personal touch was appreciated and after meeting Ricardo we were confident he would go out of his way to assist us if we had a problem.

This was the perfect stay for my Madeira getaway! I was greeted by my host who was friendly and welcoming and showed me everything I needed to know, and then he left me to enjoy the spectacular view of the ocean. My host was always available to answer questions and even helped me with a transportation recommendation to get to and from the airport. I found the location to be ideal for everything that I wanted to do, and grocery shopping was close by. I am already thinking about my next trip to Madeira and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed for 6 nights and absolutely loved the apartment. The central location made it easy to explore the city by foot. The 3 bedrooms are of equal size and there are 2 full bathrooms, perfect for a group of friends or family alike. The apartment was spotless and well-appointed. Luis graciously allowed us to check-in early which was much appreciated. If you are visiting Funchal this is the place to stay, I highly recommend it!

We had a great stay at Jose's place! Jose was very responsive to messages, and flexible with check-in. We didn't have a car but there are lots of buses to/from Funchal (20 minute ride) to the bus stop right outside. We recommend his place!

I can highly recommend Leonardo as a host and this apartment. He was very responsive and answered all our questions. We loved our stay and felt right at home, just what we were looking for on our holiday. It was very peaceful, quiet and the views were beautiful. Our highlight was having breakfast/brunch on the balcony with the sound of the waves and the sun shining.
