Rio Pecos Adobe, Telluride CO

Very unique, authentic, and comfortable Southwest style home with tremendous charm and warmth, 12 miles down San Miguel Canyon from the historic town of Telluride, Colorado. Telluride is home to a world class ski area, two film festivals, several music festivals including Bluegrass in the summer and Chamber Music and Blues Festivals in the Fall. Telluride offers a wide choice of restaurants and nightlife. Sit on the sunny decks or enjoy a fire in one of the 3 Kiva style fireplaces throughout the house in winter or fall. Cook meals on a beautiful six burner stove in a kitchen with a fireplace called The Rio Pecos Cafe. Fifteen minutes to Telluride and a half hour drive to Ouray Hot Springs. There is an on site caretaker who lives in a separate, private soundproof apt on a different level than the main house. He is there if you need him and invisible if you don't.

We have been told it is of the most beautiful locations in Colorado! 15 minutes to downtown Durango, 20 minutes to Purgatory Ski Resort, and 5 minutes to the Hot Springs & a shopping plaza, and 40 minutes to the airport. There is a cafe/gas station/liquor store across the road. We also have another airbnb here with a spa deck!

The Gondola is a fun, free ride to town. This Cottage is truly a place to get away for a romantic weekend! Your year round destination, all seasons have something special to offer. Hiking, biking, and water sports in the spring, summer and fall. National Park, Black Canyon of the Gunnison is 6 miles away. For the winter traveler we have three ski resorts an hour away in each direction. And as always, sightseeing in the fresh mountain air can’t be beat! Our bedding is top notch as well as our towels!
