The Stables on a Beautiful Country Estate

ClaraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed at the Stables for our Easter holidays. I was so glad I found this awesome property for our stay in Scotland. Nicola was so nice left us some Scottish short breads, jams and Easter chocolate bunny. Kids were so happy when they saw the bunny. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen and family room. Kitchen was well equipped with all table wares. It was perfect for our big group to eat and gather. The property is inside a private land. We felt safe to let our kids hang around outside and enjoy the fresh air. I enjoyed my morning walk too. Our stay was so nice and this would be our forever memories for our family. I wish we could travel to the stables again someday.

We really enjoyed Kirsty’s place very comfortable, had everything you would need for a short or long stay. Would happily recommend this property for families, sleeps 5-7, spacious lounge with a well appointed kitchen. Kirsty was easy to communicate with and prompt with her responses.

After a few stays in other Airbnb places run by holiday companies, this trip was a breath of fresh air: our hosts were friendly, present, helpful – and the place itself was lovely. My family and I had a great stay here.

Orchard Hideaway, 4* Luxury Lodge, wood hot tub!

MatthewRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had an amazing stay at the Orchard hideaway - it is in beautiful, rural and peaceful surroundings, and is exactly like the photos. It is private, warm and very clean, the hot tub is great and well maintained, and the host has thought of everything to make it a comfortable relaxing stay. We would love to come back and 100% recommend!

Loved our stay at Cat's cottage! We were there for a very special family celebration and couldn't have chosen better. It has a lovely feel to it and so spacious (even for 9 of us!) Easy walk into Eyemouth centre for lots of doggy friendly pubs!

A House on the Hill: Highfield farm cottage (4+1)

MelanieRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We, a family of five, enjoyed wonderful four nights in the lovely House on the Hill which was exactly as described. A great plus was the tennis court, that was very well received by our children. Walking the dog was a great experience. We used the farm cottage to explore Scottish Borders, Northumberland and of course Edinburgh. We would certainly come back and highly recommend this lovely place!

The Doocot: Beautiful countryside cottage

AryaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We absolutely loved our stay at the Doocot. It was the perfect size for our group of 8 and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen had essentials like oil, salt, tea coffee, tin foil etc and he had left milk for us in the fridge. Barrie was conscientious and checked in on us via message multiple times during the stay. The property is near loads of big supermarkets. Would come back in future!

Stunning Georgian Manor Retreat, Exclusive Use

KathrynRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had the most amazing time at this stunning location. We had a small intimate wedding in the garden and the sun was shining. The house offered the perfect setting and was everything we could have wanted. Nick was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had both before and during our stay could not have asked for a better host. Thank you

Steading - Family hill farm cottage near Edinburgh

ChristianRating, 5 stars14 months ago
A perfect place for anyone who enjoys nature, peaceful surroundings and beautiful views. An easy drive to center of Edinburgh allows you to enjoy both the rugged hills of the Pentlands and the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh without any hassle. Plenty of space for a family of 4 and a well stocked kitchen allows you to prepare your own meals if that is your thing. If you have a car then book this place instead of anything in the city. Easy parking at the property and you get so much more for your money compared to something similarly priced in the city. Highly recommended and we hope to be back soon.

Self contained cottage private garden and hot tub

AshleyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our stay at The Stables was heaven. Paul welcomed us and showed us around and had even set up the hot tub for us arriving. The house was immaculate with everything you could possibly need and beautifully decorated too. We loved the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. The garden was beautiful and so peaceful and our two dogs loved it, it was completely secure for them which meant we could relax. The view from the garden and the location were wonderful, it was just what we needed. We didn’t want to leave and would love to come back sometime soon. Thank you for being wonderful hosts and for our cheeseboard and Prosecco it was such a thoughtful touch.

Comfortable Family Farmhouse by St Mary's Loch

SusanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The house was perfect for 5 adults and 5 children for our 3 night stay: clean and comfortable, plenty of crockery and cutlery for all ten of us, a table that seated us all, a lounge we all wanted to take home, a garden for the children to play in, lambs to feed, what more could we want? Hand wash, shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets in the kitchen. We parked 3 minutes down the road to kayak on the Loch and walked up the path to see Grey Mare's tail waterfall. There is a cafe and also toilets by the Loch. It was busy in the car park when we arrived on the Sunday, but ok after that. This is a great place for lovers of the outdoors. Bring a good book and games for the evenings and you're set up. We would all return to this lovely place.

Stunning Country Cottage

StevenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Matt’s home was excellent. We felt like at home with everything you could need in your house but more peaceful than being at home. We slept like a baby in the huge bed star gazing from the bed! The river by the cottage was super soothing and it was a bonus seeing a hare by the door, as it is Easter! We would love to come back and we would not hesitate to book Matt’s home again.

Shannobank farmhouse (main house + cottage)

GordonRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Stayed over new year and what a wonderful time we had! The setting was stunning with a perfectly sized farmhouse and annex cottage which suited our entire family. The open fires were perfect for the winter weather and every room was warm and well lit! The kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. The games room in the barn was an added bonus and the WiFi was strong enough for our children’s games consoles and phones. Overall a fantastic stay and will definitely be back

Pentland Hills cottage hideaway

CarolineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Wonderful stay. The location is absolutely superb. What amazing views and so peaceful and remote. Sitting in the hot tub looking out over the hills was pure bliss!! And the stars you could see on a clear night, wow. Despite being so remote it’s close enough to Edinburgh that you can drive in and do all the attractions. So just perfect. Kylie was a fab host too, leaving Easter eggs for the kids and letting the kids feed her kunekune pig one day! The animals are great, especially Karen then hen, although she will come inside if allowed haha! All in all, we had a fantastic stay. Thank you Kylie

We had another wonderful stay at Lindsay’s cottage. Lindsay was extremely helpful and quick to respond. We enjoyed cosying up when the weather was bad and just appreciated the peace and quiet. The girls and the dogs loved running around the secure garden and we had the added bonus of seeing some lambs on the hill. We’ll hopefully be back again soon.

Romantic Medieval Castle

This tower is absolutely amazing. What a find! A great treat for my partners 50th and our wee girl felt like a true princess in the tower! Everything is comfortable clean and so much character! The surroundings were gorgeous too and especially for Easter and the Easter bunny! The beds were comfy, the bath brilliant and shadower strong and hot. Great having the open fires too. My wee girl loved sleeping in the wee quirky dookit in the lounge. Two kids could sleep here as another bed pulls out. Smart Tv great for our wee girl too. Can’t fault Anything ! Even a wee welcome pack. We will be back!
