Monthly Rentals in Skarsfjorden

We felt at home in the accommodation from the very first day. The house is very cozy and well-equipped. We were able to observe porpoises, humpback whales, and sea otters right in front of our house. This is a place where you can find peace from the hectic everyday life. Starting points for ski tours are just a few minutes' drive away. Communication with the host was very straightforward and very friendly.

We are no strangers to Tromso but this was the first time we had stayed at Monica's place. We were very pleased to have chosen to do so though and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The instructions on how to get there were good although we perhaps wouldn't have tried to drive the final 400m to the house at all if we'd appreciated just how tricky that can be even when it's been 'cleared' and the car tyres were studded. Better is just to park in the garage at the top. The guide to the house also covered everything and we enjoyed in particular the sauna and fire (lots of wood provided). The hot tub is a more basic one but we still enjoyed using it a couple of times. The location is great for the Northern Lights with low light pollution and possibility to walk all the way round the house on the veranda. The house is very well equipped and we discovered the local reindeer whilst making good use of the snow shoes. We'd thoroughly recommend Monica and her beautiful house and happily stay again.

A comfortable home in an incredible setting. The house is even nicer than the pictures show, it has a spacious kitchen living room on the entrance floor and a bathroom and upstairs 4 bedrooms house one with 2 beds. the house was very clean and is very comfortable, but the best, no doubt, are the views it has from all its windows!!! They look like paintings!Lovely stay, thank you!

Our family deeply enjoyed what my children the Lodge, and we will miss it like a person. It has been the perfect place for play, rest, and rejuvenation in this magical part of the world. We stayed here instead of in town in hopes of having a better shot at seeing the Norther Lights, and wow, did it pay off! It was an enchanting show we will never forget. Martin and Sigrid have been the most wonderful hosts and thought of every detail. Staying here has been a pleasure. Tusen takk!
