Explore the South West Coast Path, then snuggle up for a relaxed night on the quaint, checked sofa at this cozy, single-storey cottage nestled in a shared courtyard. Whitewashed stone walls, pastel-hued panelling, and soft cream creates a snug feel.
“The cottage was a great place for relaxing at February half term and exploring Paignton and Brixham. Just enough for us 2 adults and 11 year old and 2 bathrooms was a luxury. Shower was great and whole house was warm and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped and we had breakfast at home. 2 pubs within walking distance. Good choice of board games our son enjoyed. Internet connection was good. I’m sure in the summer with more crowd the narrow roads could be a problem. Also parking is tight so smaller car would be better. Would recommend Rockfish in Brixham for seafood. All in all it was a great experience”
A luxurious, rustic haven away from it all. The luxury bits: French linen bedding, robes, soft towels & toiletries, woodburner, a good book, no street lights...You'll probably sleep better than you have in years. The rustic bits: There's a simple compost toilet, hot water in a generous sink and flannels, but no shower.
“Idyllic cabin in a great location. What a place to wake up in. Design of interior is inspiring and garden is not too fussy so lots of wildlife. Highly recommend. Wear pyjamas or use blanket because the cabin will lose heat overnight. Stay cosy.”
PLEASE NOTE WE ARE IN A RURAL Area (and access is down NARROW LANES ,The Granary is an self contained apartment above an old barn which has been lovingly renovated to a high standard , it is a romantic county side escape perfect for a couple to relax and enjoy the beautiful Devon countryside as this is in a working farm you may experience some noise tractors ,cocks crowing ,geese ,some farm machinery repairs in the day, sheep, cows, dogs.and low flying helicopters ,and the odd military jet .
“The Granary is a wonderful homely self contained place to stay. It has a great little kitchen area and comfortable living space. I slept well in the cosy, restful bedroom. There was a great selection of breakfast foods including cereal, bacon, tomatoes, milk, lots of fresh eggs (laid by Linda and Tim’s chickens) and bread. I couldn’t have met two more kind, lovely people, and their friends and neighbours, who have helped me, following get my car stuck down a lane!. I am very grateful for the generosity and kindness I have been shown this week. It is a fab place to spend time away from the hubbub of daily living (the phone signal and WiFi isn’t too great) and take a proper break. Rest and enjoy the beautiful country side. Thank you Tim, Linda and your your wonderful neighbours.”
