Monthly Rentals in Stenåsen

A beautiful spot on earth - and down to the wooden trucks on the nearby federal highway, we have seen practically hardly any cars in 5 days. It's just secluded and private. We would recommend to shop for the start and then just enjoy. There is a perfectly equipped kitchen with all the spices and a ball grill. We swim in the lake every morning and also in the sauna, the crowning glory on the last evening. The only small challenge: there is only one bathtub and my almost 2m tall man had to shower while sitting so that not the entire bathroom is flooded. 😊 We were canoeing and in the moose park, also we hiked. We would definitely visit again!

Every corner is clean and thoughtfully arranged, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation. We are four families stayed 3 nights for Easter break and had a wonderful time here.

I found this place last year and it's since been one of my favourite spots in Sweden, it's incredibly serene and peaceful and the surroundings are astonishing, with the ever changing weather over the lake and the vast forests, full of berries and chanterelles. The sand beach is perfect for a morning and afternoon swim and there are several sets of outdoor furniture so you can follow the sun around the cottage and enjoy the sound of the river, the fishes breaking the surface and the wind rustling the leaves. Cooking on the fireplace at the other side of the river is just magical and all the facilities are made to make your visit as convenient as possible. Roland is a gracious host, very quick to reply and so friendly, he left some homegrown tomatoes and grapes for me, such a lovely gesture. As long as you don't book a week I want I highly recommend this cottage ;)
