We stayed at Karl’s place and had a wonderful time. The home has a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere, and the hosts were incredibly friendly. They also have the most adorable cat! There are beautiful villages nearby—like Clovelly, Lynton, and Lynmouth—all within easy driving distance. The setting is calm and homely, with the lovely sound of birds singing all around. Upon our arrival, the hosts warmly welcomed us with biscuits, local butter, milk, and other thoughtful touches—it was much appreciated.Thank you so much.

Roger and Bindy made our stay at Mill Cottage like a 5 star hotel. They had kindly stocked the kitchen with food, wine, tea and coffee for our stay incase we didn’t get to a shop on the way. The cottage also had a wood fire that had been prepped for our arrival that worked beautifully in the evening during our film. There a good amount of card and board games as well as huge baths in each bathroom. Everything worked and was clean. There was also a helpful file with lots of info about the surrounding area and roger and bindy were so polite and welcoming upon arrival. We managed a walk on our final morning to the beautiful fields surrounding the cottage and were blown away by the views. Could not recommend this cottage more to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the beautiful countryside. Thank you very much Roger and Bindy for making our stay so wonderful!

Picture- perfect place to stay in a beautiful setting and the view is just like the photos so we were not disappointed. We were delighted to see the Red Deer in the distance on several occasions. Ideal space for myself and my 13 year old son and the hosts were very accommodating to convert the twin to a king size bed. The cream tea was a lovely touch. The hosts meeted and greeted us but apart from that we didn’t see them (but we knew they were next door, if needed). Instructions to get to the location were accurate (however we missed the turning and went via Cove which I do not recommend as the route is very narrow). Most days we were out and about exploring so it was a welcome retreat at the end of the day. We hired bikes from Abbotshood Cycles (within Globe Inn) in Sampford Peverell and spent one day cycling along the 11mile canal. Would highly recommend.
