This lodge was named after Io, who was the daughter of Inachus, king of Argos and she was the priestess of the temple of Hera in Argos. She was harshly punished by Hera, after Zeus fell in love with her, leading to her endless wandering. She then crossed the Ionian Sea, which was named after Io. Contrary to Mythological tradition she had made only one stop in Syvota for rest and relaxation, before continuing her roving. You may also stop for a break from your own wandering in our lodge
