Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. From the cottage, it is 200 meters to the forest and 800 meters to the beach. The grounds are totally undisturbed with a beautiful older planting. The house has been completely renovated this year and looks very inviting with a ceiling for the kitchen and an exit to a large south-west facing wooden terrace. The house also has 3 good bedrooms and a completely new bathroom.

The beach house is 5min walk from a beautiful private-entry beach and 15min walk to downtown Tisvilde and has a beautiful private garden. The house consist of two separate cottages connected via a roofed patio and a spacious 200sqm terrasse/bbq area ideal for any warm or colder night or day with an outdoor dining table for 14 persons. The big cottage (120sqm): 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms kitchen, dining room and open living area. Cottage 2 (60sqm): 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom kitchen and living area.

But since it is private and there is no big parking lot you'll mostly have the beach to yourself!

The house is located in beautiful quiet natural surroundings down to Esrum Å. From the house there are views of the garden, river and fields. Next to the house is the main house where sometimes there can be someone. The house is nice with a nice kitchen and bathroom and everything a house should have. 10 min walk from lovely sandy beach. There is free access to kayaks, sup, firepit, bikes and fishing poles. New VILDMARKSBAD and ICE BATH are for a fee.

It has one main room with two beds put together, a separate kitchen for simple cooking and a bathroom. The terasse has a roof and is surrounded by flowers, trees and bushes.
