Vacation rentals with breakfast in Tohoku Region

Einer meiner schönsten Aufenthalte in Japan. Ein tolles Zimmer und die nettesten Gastgeber die man sich vorstellen kann. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker und es wurde sogar auf meine vegetarische Ernährung Rücksicht genommen 😀

I have to say that this is the highlight of this trip in Japan. Mitsuru san friendly welcomed me even I arrived early in the morning. He introduced his house and how he enjoyed his life living in country side. After some discussion, we decided to go somewhere deep inside the mountain that foregine travellers could hardly found. We had a delicious lunch and went to take a bath in an onsen that a solo traveller relying on pulic transport like me can never reach. What really inspires me is our conversation during the drive in his car which was so fruitful and informative （ I can only speak poor Japanese, but Mitsuru san would listen and gradually explain to me by his fluent English), which helps me to understand more in local life and culture. I have to express my deepest gratitude to Mitsue san（Mitsuru san's wife) for making a fascinating dinner using local food for me. I would greatly recommend here to travellers seeking for a closer experience in Japan countryside lifestyle !

Nyok Peng was such a wonderful host! She actually encouraged us to take the later train so we could enjoy the cherry blossoms longer, so thoughtful! Then she picked us up from the station. The place was just like in the listing: cozy, clean, and comfortable. In the morning, she made a delicious homemade breakfast for us and the other guests, and then kindly drove us back to the station. Just a heads-up, the house is a little outside Hirosaki, but for one night during peak cherry blossom season, it was totally worth it.

Koh was an amazing host. He was very helpful with how to best use the house. The house was very clean and comfortable!

築60年の古民家という話でしたが、リノベーションされており水周りがとても綺麗だったのが有難かったです！

the place was relaxing and host was very accommodating, when you walk outside the ambiance was very peaceful. I highly recommend this property when you visit Nikko plus lots of tourist spots around the place.

Maki-san's place was perfect for our stay. Thr Japanese room is large and the futons and bedding super comfy. It's also conveniently located next to two konbinis, one launderette and several delicious restaurants. We were even able to park our (small) car right by the entrance and check in independently. We couldn't have asked for more or better. We would recommend this to anyone wanting to visit the region.

Great apartment, but not much at all going on in this part of Niigata. Maybe more so in the summer? Anyways, lovely apartment. Very comfortable. Just probably better for someone w a car.

We had a very pleasant stay with Yakuso. The host was extremely friendly and accommodating towards our ignorance when it came to Japanese food. The accommodation is simple, but has everything you need, similar to a Ryokan, yet more simple. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a Japanese experience.

De gastvrouw was heel erg vriendelijk. We voelden ons erg welkom en het eten was zeer lekker!

This is the second year in a row that we've stayed with Rika and Greg. We came back because we knew it would be a wonderful weekend. Location is very close to Ishiuchi ski resort and a short drive from Echigo Yazawa station. There's a really nice onsen just down the street from the house. Rika/Greg have great recommendations for delicious restaurants nearby. The house fits two large groups comfortably with a big common area, nice kitchen, drying room, and a bathroom facility that works well for large groups. To me, that's all I can hope for in an Airbnb. What makes this place the best in Japan is Greg and Rika. They make you feel like family. Always good recommendations, always good stories, and always happy to help. Really looking forward to continuing our annual Ishiuchi tradition and see Rika and Greg next year.

お部屋も広く、とても綺麗でした。お布団もフカフカで気持ちよかったです。新緑の気持ちのいい頃にお邪魔したので、近隣の散策も楽しめました。 また朝食のパンが美味しかったです。

Loved this Airbnb! 1 hour drive from Zao Onsen ski resort and in a very beautiful and peaceful area. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, and Wako San was always very helpful and kind. Thank you so much!

(オススメポイント) ・ホストの方が本当に優しい。 -近くのバス亭までのお迎えをお願いした所快諾していただけた ・ホストの方が連絡を密にとってくださる。 -連絡をいれると返信がすぐに来る。時間変更などの対応が迅速でした。 ・朝ご飯のコスパが良い ・温泉がついている (注意ポイント) ・車があればアクセスは良いが、かなりバス亭から離れている。 ・食料品が手に入るスーパーが近くにない。先に買っておくことがオススメ ・森に近いため虫が出ることがあります。虫が苦手な方は注意してください (まとめ) ・今回はレンタカーを借りたためとても快適に利用できました。 ・ホストの方が親切で快適に過ごすことができました ・ぜひまた利用したいです！

とてもいい時間を過ごすことができました！ チェックイン時間を調整頂いたりなど柔軟な対応をしていただきとても親切な方でした。 施設もとてもキレイで共有スペースも日本文化を楽しめる雰囲気でとても良かったです。 また是非利用したいと思います。
