If you go further, you can also enjoy walking around Kuroiso Station, where you can see outdoor shops, select shops, and more. There are also plenty of facilities such as a family-friendly zoo and theme parks, as well as plenty of year-round activities such as hiking and mountain stream fishing.

About the Omagari Fireworks Festival (Daisen City) on August 31st Traffic is very crowded and there will be a lot of traffic on the day. The time indicated by Google map can not come from the fireworks display venue to our inn in 1 hour and 14 minutes.It takes 3-5 hours on that day.The fireworks display will probably end or arrive at Katasumi as early as 1 o'clock at night and around 2 o'clock.If you're making a reservation for that date, please understand this before booking.Please note that it is not possible to pick up and drop off by car.

Share Village Machimura

This is an old thatched house built in 143 years ago. The family that has lived in the house for generations has protected it, but it was planned to be demolished because of the financial issues in 2014. In order to preserve the original landscape of the satoyama for the next generation, we revitalize the house as a membership guest house. However, the activities were stopped due to the pandemic. In June 2024 we reopened the house as a private accommodation place (rental vacation house).

You will be able to appreciate the beautiful rice fields right from the front door. You can comfortably experience the goodness of an old traditional Japanese house. Easy access to Echigo-Yuzawa, convenient as a base for FUJIROCK and skiing! We can arrange free pick-up service from either Tokamachi station or Doichi station. contact in advance.

This is an old Japanese-style house that has been renovated using natural materials. It is located in a hot spring area where the starry sky is the most beautiful at night. This is a private lodging where you can rent the whole house. The entire house can be rented for up to 9 people. You can have a barbecue in the backyard. *Equipment can be rented. Since it is an old house, you may be worried about it being cold or hot, but there is an air conditioner in the bedroom and living room, and two fan heaters. Large supermarkets and convenience stores are located 30 minutes away by car. We recommend that you do your shopping in advance.
