The Wadden Sea, the North Sea and the Tønder marsh are right outside the door, and definitely worth a visit.

You can park on the street close to the house for two hours free of charge between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays and Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Otherwise, there is free parking around the clock about a five-minute walk from the house

The house is centrally located a few meters from Tønder's cozy pedestrian street with cafes and shops. There are a few meters to the park and the nature area at Vidåen. The marsh with all its experiences is right outside the door, and if you are into the Black Sun, there is plenty of opportunity to experience this amazing phenomenon. With love, we made sure to use the space most efficiently to create the best experience for you. *Heated and warm in winter 🙂

Here you can relax and start excursions to the surrounding area. The house is situated in an idyllic location on the marsh hiking trail. The apartment is located in a half of the house that is separately accessible for guests. It offers a lounge area, a reading corner, a kitchen, 3 double rooms and 3 bathrooms. The hosts live in the other half of the house. In the guest garden you can relax or let off steam on the trampoline. An additional room in the passage area has been added.

Halmhuset - The Straw House

Our thatched house is probably the only "Halmhuset" that is rented as a vacation home in Denmark. It is breathable, made of clay and straw, and is sustainably supplied by heat pump and photovoltaics. In summer, the thick walls provide pleasant coolness, in winter it is cozy and warm, with a room height of up to 4 meters. A real feel-good place for up to 8 people, located at the gates of the city of Tønder, close to the Wadden Sea National Park and the islands of Sylt and Rømø.

If you need to relax from a stressful everyday life, then you are in the right place with us, in a house from 1680 and a roadside inn in the 1800s. We offer an approx. 70 square meter home, newly renovated in 2024 and with access to its own small and fenced courtyard. If you also like nature and animals, you can participate in feeding our goats and chickens, or borrow a bicycle and go on an excursion in the nearby area, such as to Øster Højst, to be pampered in the town's inn.
