To explore the area we offer FREE use of mountain bikes and a kayak*, there is direct access to the river and a 12km cycle path. In the heart of Périgord, 30 minutes from Bergerac airport, 1 hour from Bordeaux, close to tourist sites, in an estate of 10 ha sit the Château de Monciaux (18th century) and its 4 cottages. On one level, our 70m² cottage offers the charm of a Perigord house with all the comforts needed for an ideal holiday (swimming pool, tennis, etc.) In a bucolic setting our cottage ideally accommodates 2 people but can accommodate a small family thanks to a sofa bed.

This family home is listed as a Historic Monument, and has been the subject of a major renovation project. The location of the castle is exceptional, in the middle of nature, overlooking the Tardoire River and an old mill. A very large south-facing terrace, allows you to enjoy this view.

I have owned my medieval castle for fifty years. I rent out half of it in the summer, with exclusive use of the pool and grounds. I live, with cat, in the other half (tower side), with a separate entrance. We are unobtrusive, but I am happy to be available for any questions.
