Cottage vacation rentals in Vila Nova de Gaia

This house is in the most STUNNING location with AMAZING views. We arrived early hours and Tiago was more than helpful at this time. We were told of the house’s rich religious history which is reflected in the artwork and decor of the house. 7 of us stayed for 8 days 2 couples and 3 teens More than enough space for everyone to have their own privacy and more than enough room for 10 people. The grounds had fig, Apple and lemon trees which we were told we are more than welcome to use. Aldi and Lidl were a 15 minute drive (we rented a car) which was perfect for evening barbecues (huge wood oven outside as well as small grills) The pool was stunning, we spent most days in there from morning till night. It’s a great size and easy to shade with umbrellas if needed. We left our inflatables there for the next person, which someone had also done before we arrived, which was a nice touch. We can’t thank Tiago enough for an amazing 8days. Will defo visit again

Spent 3 nights here and had a beautiful time. Hot tub was a nice touch for the cold winter days. Carlos was extremely sweet and hospitable. Gave us plenty of information about Sever de Vouga and showed us how to get around. Breakfast was served to us everyday at 9am which was a super nice touch. Great way to start the day. Definitely recommend. I'll be going back for sure!

Silvio is gracious and friendly and the garden is beautiful. He left us fresh eggs one morning and we loved the hot tub. Definitely recommend Silvio’s place.

The place was very clean and cozy. All as described. Very good service and well received.

Tiago did more than expected. From welcoming cake, unexpected wine tour and requests answered immediately. When we panicked about the fires, he calmed us. This Airbnb is a haven of tranquility. Fresh fruit from trees!!! Vale da Cambra unspeakable beauty and hospitality. Not a lot of English speaking, but at the end we got what we wanted.

Very nice space, very clean and Mr. Carlos recommended some restaurants and many places to visit. Great for family, I recommend it.

Amazing place, relaxing with great views!

The stay was amazing, Patricia was all the time pending and answered at the moment almost. As for the casita it was very nice apart from that it had stoves in which you did not go cold, nothing that was appreciated that towards cold and bad weather. It had everything you needed and everything was very clean. We went with two puppies and they had where to run in the garden. We will definitely repeat

we were very nice the whole family a functional cute house the house owners live on and if you need them don't hesitate to help.te had the detail of leaving in the fridge a bottle of water and wine. if we ever come back in the area from catalunya we will definitely go,a pleasure to enjoy their place both good you could have a house like this,thanks

Wonderful stay here for 5 days. Helena was quick and responsive throughout. When I arrived, I met Paula, Sofia, Martinho and Francisco who welcomed and showed me the house and area. So generous to offer me a bottle of wine, water, biscuits on my arrival. The house is cozy and peaceful with a view of the farm where the sheep roam during the day. Comfortable bed, linen and beautiful antique decor to keep with the theme. Kitchen has a small fridge, kettle, microwave and stove. Beautiful spaces to walk and rest under fruit trees, 2 swimming pools in a peaceful natural setting. Even my cat, Samson enjoyed it. For company, we also had a cute friendly dog, Nina. It is a short drive to centre of Fafe, a lovely town with charming architecture. Helena provided useful recommendations on what to do and where to go. Guimaraes is a beautiful place, only 20 minutes from the house. All in all, a great stay and I'm happy to revisit one day again. Thanks for a great stay!

Andre was a welcoming host, we felt part of his family for the 6 days we enjoyed his property. Home is an old stable farm that's well maintained and beautiful. He has two lovely dogs my daughter played with. Really enjoyed our stay and Andre was extremely helpful and attentive.

The home is a great place to just get away from it all and relax. The grounds are peaceful with lots of fruit trees. If you like nature you will love it.

We had a lovely stay and felt very much at home! The house is very clean and equipped with every comfort. The pool was very nice and also the presence of some toys was a big plus for the children. Supermarket and small shopping center within walking distance and you will be in Braga and Barcelos in no time by car. Beautiful surroundings and we have fallen in love with this part of Portugal! Certainly subject to repetition, both the house and the surroundings! Thanks for a great stay!

Very good stay

Great place! Excellent river view and terrace. The hosts were very friendly and helped us when our car broke down. Supermarkets and restaurants are just a 10-minute drive away.

We had a great stay at Manuel’s peaceful and idyllic place. The apartment has everything you need, the area is very relaxing and great for trips in that region, e.g. to Braga, Guimaraes. Thanks a lot and we hope to make it there one day again :)

An enchanted space! The Quinta’s green gate opens to a moss covered cobblestone alley cooled by vine arches leading up to the house. The old house is charming and very spacious. Big bedrooms and generous bathrooms with views onto trees. Formal and wild gardens surround the house and continue up the hill to a secluded fresh water swimming pool with a beautiful view over the valley offering complete seclusion and tranquility. The kitchen has everything one needs to cook family meals for big eaters and the fridge freezer is big enough to cool plenty of beer supplies needed to enjoy (or endure) the Euro 24 games and election night. João is a generous and enthusiastic host, never intruding but always there when needed. For our visit to Porto we used the handy Arentim train station to get straight into Porto centre - cheap, clean train, in time and stress free! With plenty of spaces to enjoy our company and spaces to seek solitude, all of us had a much needed rest in magical surroundings!

Such an amazing and thoughtful host. My boyfriend and I wished that we had more time on this beautiful property. One of the best Airbnb experiences we have had. I would definitely recommend. The guest house exceeded our expectations.

Everything was very good, Teresa attended us very kindly, we also met her family, we ate and dine one day with them and the treatment we had was great, for which we are very grateful. As for the apartment, very nice and comfortable, with all kinds of details both in the kitchen and bathroom, we do not miss anything. It is possible to park the vehicle on the lot itself. We can only say that this is a highly recommended accommodation and we would gladly repeat.

It was a spectacular weekend among friends. 21 people slept and took advantage of the house comfortably! The house is very well equipped at the level of kitchenware and bathroom. The rooms are super comfortable with great thermal and acoustic insulation. Please note that almost every space in the house has air-conditioning. Definitely a repeat experience!
