Cabin vacation rentals in Washington County

This home and neighborhood was picturesque- exactly what we expected and wanted for our extended family vacation. My niece fell in love with the area on this trip and now wants to move to Stowe. I especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, linens and easy access firewood for the fire pit. My kids saw snow for the first time on the deck of this home. It was magical. We will never forget this house.

We stayed at Jennifer's cabin for our annual ski trip. The location is right next to Sugarbush and close to Mad River Glen, which meant we could get right on the slopes in the morning. The cabin was clean and cozy, with all the amenities you would want in a ski cabin. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after coming off the hill. Also, there were plenty of local restaurants to eat at close by. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay here! My fiance and I booked a night for her birthday and would absolutely stay here again. The cabin was tiny but just the right size for the two of us. And the hot tub was definitely the best part. We recommend this spot to anyone couple or single person coming to the Sugarbush area, even if not to ski

My family had a great time spring skiing at Sugarbush! The place was exactly as advertised—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. It was a perfect home base for our trip, and we’d happily stay here again.

Melissa’s listing was a great find during a time when there very few places to stay in the greater Vermont area due to the solar eclipse. She was very responsive even before we reached the Airbnb, gave very useful advice about getting around and local attractions, and had a beautiful space for us to enjoy a weekend trip.

Loved the cabin. My boyfriend and I had a very relaxing weekend. Amenities at the cabin were great. Lots of great touches to make the place to feel very cozy, from the well stocked kitchen to the master bathroom and hot tub.

We had a wonderful time at Peter’s cabin. It was a great size for our family of four (w/2 teenaged boys and a large dog), and was a convenient location for our week of skiing at Stowe. This cabin has everything we needed and the hot tub was a nice perk! The views from the living room windows were gorgeous. We absolutely recommend this cabin!

This is an ideal spot for a winter getaway, and Matt goes above and beyond to provide guests with the best possible experience. During the day, we enjoyed snowshoeing and sledding on the property. At night, the stars truly amazed us. We also enjoyed the cozy fire in the wood stove…a very nice thing for the cold temps we were having. The house is well stocked and beds are comfortable. We are so grateful for the few days we spent recharging at Skip’s Place.

We loved our time at this cozy cabin. It is very private and secluded. It had everything we needed for our stay. The wood stove heats things up quick and was easy to use. We were able to snowshoe right from the porch, as it snowed every day and there was plenty of property to explore. The cabin is close to alot of things we enjoyed. It is very bright and peaceful inside. The steps to the loft bedroom are steep, but we expected such. The road to the cabin can be sketchy with a fresh snow, but our AWD with all weather tires was more than capable. We did take it extra slow coming back down the hill to the main road as it had not been plowed. We would recommend to anyone wanting a private getaway and would definitely stay again!

A beautiful and quiet little cabin, exactly as pictured and great for a countryside getaway. Could happily sleep a few friends there without feeling too crowded, and plenty of space in the kitchen/lounge area too! Thanks for the coffee, and I imagine it's gorgeous there in the autumn!

We’d stayed at Will & Patti’s place before, prior to the pandemic, and were so pleased to see not much had changed - it’s still as beautiful and peaceful as we remember. The perfect place to get away for a weekend to hike and unplug from everything. We hope to stay longer next time!

Great place to stay for a single person or a couple seeking a quiet setting, walks in the woods, or skiing at Stowe. No other houses in sight. Excellent value for money. Some details we loved: The lighted address sign, so when arriving after a long trip at night we knew we were in the right place. The wood stove was easy to use and the radiant heat was great after a winter day outdoors. The cabin is cozy, but that is not a euphemism for claustrophobic: it has lots of windows, two skylights, and plenty of space. Very communicative and hospitable host, Stephanie. We only dealt with her remotely, but she has a caretaker nearby. She made us feel welcome and was alway there to help. Our stay had more of a personal, than a corporate feel, which we appreciated. We were glad we had 4-wheel drive and snow tires. . guests should be sure to have one of those and, ideally, both, especially when snow is expected, as Stephanie will tell you. We would be happy to return to this home away from home.

Such a lovely private retreat! Best sleep I’ve had in a long time!

Beautiful log cabin construction with absolutely stunning dining table and well appointed furniture throughout the spaces. It had all the amenities one would expect to find in a fully functional kitchen with a few added extras like a French press coffee maker and coffee grinder. Tasty filtered water available from the refrigerator is always a plus. We picked the right weekend with fall colors on full display with a beautiful view over looking the valley with Highway 100. There was even a fully functioning farm stand at the entrance to the drive up the hill to the cabin. No TV's in the downstairs living space was just right for a family vacation. TV was upstairs near the bedrooms, if you can't do without it. An added bonus included a basement space with air hockey table and a rowing machine. We would definitely stay here again if we were vacationing in this area.

The Hideaway was a great retreat for my 2-week escape from elder caregiving. I wanted snow, peace and quiet and easy access to views of mountains. I also needed a place with reliable internet to be able to work remotely. Pamela Jean and Cullen’s home was perfect. The internet was fast, no issues. I streamed TV too. During my 2 weeks, we experienced snow, some thawing, refreezing, ice, more snow and they proactively arranged for someone to plow the driveway and parking area when it snowed and bring sand when it thawed and turned icy and a little muddy. I definitely recommend a 4WD or AWD vehicle in winter. My original rental car was 2WD (mistake by rental co) Toyota Rav4 and it couldn’t make it up the snowy drive. They had to bring me a replacement and that one did just fine. The bed was very comfortable, kitchen had an air fryer, toaster, microwave and new pots and pans. Very comfortable stay! Beautiful place, clean and charming. The wood stove was a great amenity and there was plenty of wood. The kitchen was clean and well stocked and the location was peaceful and quiet. A great home base for a ski weekend.

Great place to stay while skiing with a small group. Cozy cabin is an apt description, with all the necessary amenities included. They even plowed the driveway while we were out, which was very nice.

Highly recommend for any couple trying to get away for a few days! Wonderful private cabin with a few trails and a beautiful creek/river within walking distance from the cabin. Hosts were friendly and responsive. Not a lot of food options in Roxbury but there are several within 20-25 minutes of the place.

Loved our stay! Was exactly what was expected and loved being surrounded by nature. We explored the property and gorgeous scenery. Our host was super nice and helpful.
