De boerderij ( twee onder één kap) is gebouwd in 1900. Het voorhuis heeft veel authentieke details behouden. Het voorhuisje met een zit-slaapkamers biedt u rust en ruimte in een landelijke omgeving . Wij wonen in het achterhuis. Ideaal voor fietsers en wandelaars. Slechts 3 km van Steenwijk centrum en 3.9. km van het NS station. Dichtbij Giethoorn, de Weerribben en Hunebedden in het natuurgebied Holtingerveld. The Colony of Frederiksoord, listed on UNESCO world heritage, is only 6.5 km away.

Cottage Wipperoen has been in our family for 50 years. It is not on a holiday park, extra safe in these corona times! In 2018 it has been completely renovated and equipped with a new kitchen, lovely beds and underfloor heating. The best part is that it is in the middle of the trees. All freedom on our own terrain of 1100m2! From the cottage you walk into the forest in 5 minutes. Gees is centrally located in Drenthe: Emmen, the beautiful Orvelte and the shops of Hoogeveen are 20 minutes by car.

Luka's Hut, our beautiful eco-cabin, sits on the banks of the Ganzendiep river in Overijssel. Huge windows provide stunning Dutch views onto the river, the grass meadows with cows & sheep and a picturesque village in the distance. The river is quiet water so have a sauna & a swim, take out the kayak, big canoe or SUPboard. We have a heatpump for the floor heating, and used upcycled items such a charming wood-stove, a fantastic bath, a fully-equipped kitchen, bikes, a firepit & trampoline.

You will be staying in a comfortable, fully equipped holiday home. The house is next to our own house and has its own entrance. You will have a private, enclosed terrace with sufficient privacy. In the immediate vicinity, you may encounter deer or a kingfisher. The location is in a natural environment with ample possibilities for walking and biking. Larger cities are easily accessible, Leeuwarden 30 min., Groningen 40 min. There is a direct bus to Heerenveen with ice stadium Thialf.

Cities such as Assen, Leeuwarden and Groningen are easy to reach. The house is fully and stylishly furnished and invites you to relax with a book by the fireplace.

't Vechthuisje

't Vechthuisje was custom designed and built in 2018. The cabin is located right next to the river Vechte with private access to the waterfront (swimming!). At the other side of the river you’ll find the small village Dalfsen and closeby is the historic city of Zwolle. The cabin is situated in the heart of the popular 'Vechtdal' and a good starting place for hikes or cycling adventures along the river or in the nearby forests and dry heaths.

What's "On his Swedish"? A fully furnished cozy house (former living area of the farm) with its own entrance, full of comforts and also wheelchair accessible. Plenty of opportunities to stay privately outside the house.
