This cozy studio is on the first floor of a duplex built by our son's grandfather. It is freshly renovated, and completely private, though we do share the same front door into the foyer (we live upstairs). We are a five minute walk across the Old Swinging Bridge to the shops, restaurants and galleries of historic downtown Basalt, and an even shorter walk to Gold Medal fishing at the confluence of the Fryingpan and Roaring Fork rivers. Just a half-hour drive or bus ride to Aspen!
“The place is updated with nice touches. Large enough for a couple. Kitchen is adequate for breakfast and lunch. Not really cooking for dinner friendly. It is a short walk into a great little town with excellent restaurants. I'd stay again if I ski Aspen again.”
Nestled in between Basalt and Carbondale, and a 35 minute drive to Aspen, El Jebel is a prime location for those looking to experience the Roaring Fork Valley. Bright and sunny mobile home with a fully fenced in front yard, comfy lounge area and a side patio to enjoy your morning cup of coffee. Hot tub for soaking those tired muscles after a day of mountain biking, hiking or skiing. We hope you will find everything you need here at our home to make your visit to the Valley a memorable one.
“Dana and Conrad made us feel right at home. We had everything that we needed. The pets were well behaved. They gave us great tips for skiing and using the bus system. In good driving conditions it took about 20 minutes to drive to the brush creek park and ride where we could catch free buses to all 4 resorts.”
Basalt Colorado Townhome - Holland Hills is close to Aspen and Willits with excellent views and hiking trails out the back door and very bike friendly property.
“We had a great stay. The location was quiet and the perfect base for exploring and hiking. Jackie and Larry are friendly and thoughtful hosts. We were very comfortable in their home, they provided great communication and a good cup of coffee in the morning! We would stay again if we ever travel back to this beautiful part of Colorado.”
