The Top Paddock

Cosy up to the wood fire, roasting marshmallows in your star Gazer yurt. A comfy queen bed and a backyard of adventure, its a Tasmanian version of luxury camping.

Relax and enjoy stunning views in one of two architecturally designed cabins, nestled in the rolling hills, just outside the town of Sheffield and on the main road to Cradle Mountain. You will be staying on our working farm that is home to platypus in the dams, a small herd of Speckle Park beef cattle and some fat and friendly goats. The farm is proudly centered eco-friendly, regenerative principles, promoting a healthy environment for birds, insects and other life to flourish.

The minimum charge $140 is for 1 guest. Additional guests will attract a charge of $45 per head, and bedrooms will be made available as needed. We only ever have 1 booking at a time, no sharing with other families or individuals. We live on site and are happy to help, your accommodation is segregated and totally private. 'Mistover' Farm Cottage & Galloway Stud

'Mistover' is a 32 hectare property with pasture, bushland, creeks, dams and plenty of space for your pets to run! It is home to Galloway cattle and long term resident Jonesy, the English Pointer, who loves visitors! The accommodation is a two storey, 2 bedroom, self-contained stone cottage with open fire place and private balcony. 'Mistover' is situated along the Murchison Highway, 20 kms from Burnie/Wynyard Airport and is on the doorstep of the Tarkine Wilderness!
