Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Aarau District

For us this was perfect “home base” away from home full of old Swiss rustic charm and private. Very well equipped kitchen, home is spacious, clean and cozy, laundry room came really handy as well. Great location - away from hustle and bustle of Zurich but short distance from it and from the airport as well. Many great day trips possible within 5 min drive up to an hour drive. Grocery store 3 min walk away. Thomas is friendly and super easy to communicate with. We also found great restaurant 5-8 min drive - Gasthof zum Kreuz - shout out to the owner - very friendly made us feel like family - food was great, nice atmosphere and good prices. Grateful we got to experience it all.

Susanne is an amazing host and very helpful. She offers a very nice countryside house. I really recommend to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay at Anne's place. The house is super comfortable, clean, and is well equipped. Kids loved playing around in the garden and quiet surroundings. Anne's was so accommodating and offers flexible check-in and check-out. The highlight was Anne inviting us to the camp fire in the garden, playing music, and spending an evening relaxing and having great chats! Thank you for your hospitality :)

It was a marvellous expierience to witness the serene landacapes and the natural beauty of Switzerland. We were warmly welcomed by the house owner, Theres and had no inconveniences throughout the entire visit. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the beauty of Swiss.

Amazing apartment with breath taking views. Great host.

The house is beautiful, spacious rooms, two bathrooms, spacious kitchen. A laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer. Ironing board with iron was also provided. A clothes rack with pegs would have been useful. Bathroom was fine. The location is ideal. 30 meters away is the bus stop that takes you to the heart of Lucerne. Contact with Sabrina was good. Due to a long trip from the Netherlands that took place at night, we were able to get into the house at 10 o 'clock in the morning, this was great!

Carmen is a fab host and super responsive. She gave advise on things to do and other things that we asked. Kitchen is well equipped, washing mashing and dishwasher too!! We had a dog that loved the terrace but if your dog has a tendency to run off or ‘explore’ you’d need to keep an eye on them. Hiking trails straight from the door which is great! It’s a pretty steep climb up to the unit so a car is would be beneficial (unless you’re super fit lol). Loved our stay, only downside really was having to leave! Thank you Carmen

One of the best Airbnb homes in a long time – there were two of us there for a week. Spacious space, very chic and stylishly furnished, and of course the hot tub on the very large roof terrace is a highlight - or just spend the evening in front of the cozy fireplace. Everything is available in the immediate vicinity on foot (shops, restaurants, etc.) Overall highly recommended!

This bungalow is simply an absolute gem. Every detail in this house is a testament to a lot of love and style. We felt totally comfortable and welcome right away So the hot tub was already heated and ready for us. The kitchen leaves nothing to be desired, everything is there. Furthermore, the comfortable sofa invites you to cozy evenings and later a very comfortable bed awaits you. Fabienne is a warm host who communicates proactively and is very generous. I'm sure we'll be back!

The house is excellently located and has been gently and very tastefully renovated. The hosts were extremely accommodating and friendly. How to come back for sure!

Everything tip top as always I felt like I was at home

It was a lovely family Christmas! The apartment was very spacious and very clean. The panorama from the living room to the lake and the mountains is amazing. The owner is very responsive, always responding quickly to messages. And an important moment for us - our youngest daughter forgot her phone in the apartment, and we discovered the loss only a few days later. The owner resolved this issue very quickly, the phone was even charged so that we could see its location. We are definitely ready to return here, with pleasure!

Lidiya is a wonderful host! The space is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. You immediately feel that she really goes out of her way to make her guests have a nice stay. I felt completely comfortable and would love to come back. Absolutely recommended!

Irene and husband were very welcoming. The apartment is spacious and well equipped- it even had a fondue kit and raclette oven. The area is quiet, yet well connected by public transport.

Roger and his wife Sandra have a beautiful and modern guest house. From the reception to the end, the two were always extremely polite, helpful and accommodating. The guest house is more than big enough and also offers corresponding privacy - 10 out of 10 recommendations!

Monika was very helpful and flexible, as we arrived much later...we confused the Thalheim with the Thalheim an der Thur... The incredibly quiet and fantastic location made our stay a special experience, we enjoyed it very much...

Staying in the lovingly designed tiny house was a dream! The hosts were very warm. They were quick to respond to questions and you immediately felt at home. We were able to swim in the pond and enjoy the evening by the fire. In the morning there was a very rich breakfast in the bear. We didn't miss anything and we'd love to come back! We had a wonderful time in the cottage in Oberfeld! My husband, son and I were absolutely delighted – it was an unforgettable stay. Our host and her family were incredibly warm and welcoming. Every morning we got fresh bread, eggs and milk directly from the farm – a real highlight! The apartment was very clean, cozy and furnished with a lot of love for detail. It was especially nice that we were able to see the sheep up close and even watch and pet while milking – a great experience, especially for our son. The surroundings are fantastically beautiful – perfect for relaxing and enjoying. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back anytime. Thank you for everything!

We were a small group travelling from the UK preparing for a competition. The set up worked perfectly for us, the house was lovely and we were able to enjoy our stay. Esther and Peter are very friendly and hospitality. Their lovely property is a detached house, we live on the first floor with shared entrance with them. The first floor flat is spacious, bright, warm and clean. It has everything we need for we cook several breakfast and dinners there. The neighbourhood is beautiful and quiet; the nearest supermarket is about 5 mins by walking. The location is about less than one hour driving to Luzern and Zurich, while more than an hour to Rhine Fall. It is a good place for you to explore that area of Switzerland by driving. We will come back again and highly recommended this place.
