“Camped with a Tenstile, perfect location at the edge of a clearing with pines and soft loam underneath. Had a storm roll through, wonderful night. Stephanie was super welcoming and accommodating! Laid back, always responded quickly to messages, and overall experience was better than expected... many touches that show a host that truly cares. Try the queso, say “hi” to Chum!”
Welcome to Echo Lake. Located in Nunda Twp. MI, just 5 miles East of I-75 and exit 301. A new heated all seasons bell tent is nestled on a private park like setting, you are approximately 30 minutes from major tourist destinations in Northern Michigan, including; Petoskey, Mackinaw Bridge, Gaylord and Boyne. This site is located on a beautiful private lake with access to a dock and aluminum boat, a firepit furnished with benches and tables for marsh mellow and hotdog roasting.
“Our glamping experience at Jeff's place was extremely comfortable. The tent had a heater inside and was also very well thermally insulated. On the 2nd night, the entire tent had gotten blanketed by the snow, but the heat and blankets inside the tent kept us cozy. Having a proper restroom and a fridge a few steps outside of the tent, was an additional bonus. There's also a beautiful lake merely a few feet away from the tent, which will romanticize your morning coffee experience. Our dog absolutely loved the free space and actually didn't want to leave at the checkout :p. A night before our checkout, we had ran into a car situation, which could have been a bit problematic but Jeff was courteous enough to take care of it in the morning. The entire tent along with the lake in the background was so picturesque that when I showed the pictures to my friends, they immediately wanted to come to Jeff's place! Over all, our experience with Jeff was really comforting, he is an exceptional host and I'd recommend his lodge to anyone looking to experience some quietude, while still having the luxury of basic amenities.”
This secluded getaway is the second floor of a free-standing carriage house. The first floor is a hobby workshop that would not be used during guest stay. Lake access is an easy 200 yard walk. Location is about 25 minutes from charming shopping and dining in Petoskey or Harbor Springs. This is an ideal spot for downhill or cross country skiers offering multiple opportunities within a 25 minute drive. Easy access to snowmobile trails in winter and lake activities in the summer
“The carriage house is such a special place! Tucked back in the woods, it offers lots of privacy and is surrounded by nature. The interior is beautiful, clean, nicely decorated, with a peaceful vibe. It was a fabulous place to chill with my sister for the weekend. We walked the quiet streets one morning and enjoyed the picturesque area. It's close to Petoskey and Charlevoix. We really enjoyed the Bose bluetooth speaker and the fact that there wasn't a tv. We spent our evenings putting together puzzles while listening to music. Such a special place! Thank you, Ham and Barb, for sharing your amazing property with us!”
