A wonderful rural retreat - with very friendly and creative hosts . This is a very spacious, comfortable & quiet cottage with fantastic views over the countryside and superb sunsets . Our granddaughter had a wonderful time feeding the hens , observing the lambs and playing in the garden. The nearest village Montgomery has a very good cafe - The Castle Kitchen - great for coffee and cakes as well as lunches . Lians woven wall hangings and wall colours enhance the feeling of peace and calm in the cottage . We would highly recommend staying here .

Amazing value for a full apartment Centrally located in a lovely location The bells were comforting for us The music in the vaults nearby was not too loud and the musicians were excellent Jenny is a lovely friendly lady who is very responsive Tahira in the chai cafe below was so knowledgeable about everything in the world and very friendly: a must visit for Indian food or tea/coffee or to see her paintings Three tunnes pub is worth a visit Six bells and the vault pub are also worth visiting You are staying in a building that dates to the 1500’s but all mod cons there and lots of extra cooking equipment I liked that there were steam pans as id forgotten mine Jennys place is worthy of at least 8 stars Thank you for preserving such a great building

My partner and I had a wonderfully relaxing stay here - we both agreed it’s the cosiest place we’ve been! The whole place was spotless and the kitchen was perfect for a bit of simple home cooking. The bed was also incredibly comfortable and with the peaceful rural setting we slept really well. We took advantage of the art studio too which we really enjoyed - such a unique thing and again the setting is the perfect place for creative inspiration! There is also plenty to do in the area, we particularly enjoyed the village of Bishop’s Castle on our way home where there’s a lovely poetry bookshop (Andrea’s recommendation!) and other characterful independent shops. Andrea and Haydee were so lovely and helpful before and during our stay which really topped things off for us. A true gem of a place - we hope to come back one day!
